Role of Materials and Labor Allocation in Cost-Effective Soundproof House Construction Projects

There is increase in the issues related to noise pollution due to their negative impacts on the individual.The ability of materials to absorb noise creates future problems for the building and for the residents;although,temporary presence of construction noise holds minor importance for some projects.The study aims to assess the role of materials and labour allocation in cost-effective soundproof house construction projects.The efficiency of synthetic foam,polyurethane and cellular materials was explored in providing insulation in multiple construction projects.Various soundproofing solutions such as rubber,gypsum,homasote,plywood and natural fibres were discussed in the light of cost-effectivity.Soundproofing can be guaranteed by using environmentally-friendly,natural,degradable and recycled products in the construction industry.The study helped in highlighting the materials that can help in building soundproof construction projects.The results indicated the need for applying modern,synthetic,cost-effective and green sound-absorbing systems in construction projects.The safety along with minimal maintenance and longevity of the completed construction projects is maintained by advancements in technological efficiency of building materials.The adaptation of Western construction technologies will ensure success in building construction projects as modern building materials play a significant role in building of sound proof construction buildings.

Labor Allocation Effect on China's Economic Growth

Since the reform and opening up in 1978, the improving efficiency of resource allocation, particularly the flow and migration of agricultural workforce to non-agricultural sectors, has contributed greatly to China's economic growth. However, scholars have seldom carried out continuous empirical study on the extent of such contribution mainly due to limited methods for the calculation of labor allocation effect. This paper employs the incremental analysis method of index to separate labor allocation effect from economic growth in order to conduct an analysis on such effect under the framework of economic growth. Using this approach, this paper has calculated the labor allocation effect during various periods of time in China between 1978 and 2014 and the results indicate that the flow and migration of labor constituted the major source of China's economic growth during the periods between 1978 and 1987, between 1992 and 1998 and between 2003 and 2014 and still have great potentials in the coming decade. After 2025, the labor allocation effect will diminish and is likely to become a factor that hinders economic growth.

Agricultural Machinery Input,Labor Resource Allocation,and Rural Household Land Transfers

This paper explores the impact of agricultural machinery input on rural households’land transfers,which is conducive to the acceleration of agricultural modernization,agricultural production at scale,and rural revitalization.By using the micro-data on rural households(2014–2018)from China Family Panel Studies(CFPS),we made an empirical analysis of the impact of agricultural machinery input on land transfers and drew three conclusions.First,agricultural machinery input has a positive impact on land transfers,which means the more rural households invest in agricultural machinery,the more willing they are to participate in land transfers.Second,the impact of agricultural machinery input on land transfers is mainly exerted by adjusting the allocation of labor resources for rural households,or rather by increasing the number of farmers engaged in agriculture and reducing the number of farmers-turned traders and workers to facilitate land transfers.Third,the impact of agricultural machinery input on land transfers concerns both the positive transfers-in and the negative transfers-out,and such an impact stays stable across income groups.Accordingly,we should further increase agricultural machinery-related subsidies,improve the agricultural machinery service outsourcing market,and help rural households to reasonably allocate their labor resource endowments and invest in agricultural machinery to increase land transfers.
