In contrast to the nonlinear feedback scheme reported in the previous literature, the proposed controller is a linear one which only involves simple feedback information from the drive system with signal popagation lags. Besides, the unknown parameters can also be identified via the proposed updating laws in spite of the existence of model delays and transmission lags, as long as the linear independence condition between the related function elements is satisfied. Two examples, i.e., the Mackey-Glass model with single delay and the Lorenz system with multiple delays, are employed to show the effectiveness of this approach. Some robustness issues are also discussed, which shows that the proposed scheme is quite robust in switching and noisy environment.展开更多

It is shown that the slave system can be synchronized with the past states of the driver up to a scaling function matrix. According to the stability theorem of linear fractional-order systems, a nonlinear fractional-order controller is designed for the synchronization of systems with the same and different dimensions. Especially, for two different dimensional systems, the synchronization is achieved in both reduced and increased dimensions. Three kinds of numerical examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the scheme.展开更多

The question is addressed that whether the synchronization conditions achieving complete synchronization is still valid for lag synchronization when the time delay of signal transmission between the drive and response systems increases from 0. However, several reports have described potential osteotomy-related complications such as nonunion, tibial tubercle migration and fragmentation, and metalware related pain.AIM To evaluate the literature and estimate the efficiency of TTO in RTKA in terms of osteotomy union, knee mobility and complications.METHODS MEDLINE, Scopus, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were investigated for completed studies until February 2020. The principle outcome of the study was the incidence of union of the osteotomy. Secondary outcomes were the knee range of motion as well as the TTO-related and overall procedure complication rate.RESULTS Fifteen clinical studies with a total of 593 TTOs were included. The TTO union rate was 98.1%. Proximal migration and anterior knee pain were the most common TTO-related complications accounting for 6.9% and 6.4% of all cases, respectively. However, only 2.2% of cases suffering from anterior knee pain needed hardware removal. Knee flexion was improved from 82.9° preoperatively to 100.1° postoperatively and total knee range of motion was increased from 73.4° before surgery to 97° after surgery. Stiffness requiring manipulation under anesthesia was recorded in 4.6% of cases. No major complications were reported.CONCLUSION The current systematic review supports the use of TTO in RTKA, as it is associated with high union rate, significant improvement in knee motion and low osteotomy-related complication risk that rarely leads to secondary tibial tubercle procedures.展开更多

When the piles have cantilever segments above the ground, laggings are usually installed to avoid collapse of soil between piles. Evaluating the earth pressure acting on laggings is of great importance in design process.Since laggings are usually less stiff than piles, the lateral pressure on lagging is much closer to active earth pressure. In order to estimate the lateral earth pressure on lagging more accurately, first,a model test of cantilever stabilizing pile and lagging systems was carried out. Then, basing the experimental results a three-dimensional sliding wedge model was established. Last, the calculation process of the total active force on lagging is presented based on the kinematic approach of limit analysis. A comparison is made between the total active force on lagging calculated by the formula presented in this study and the force on a same-size rigid retaining wall obtained from Rankine's theory. It is found that the proposed method fits well with the experimental results.Parametric studies show that the total active force on lagging increases with the growth of the lagging height and the lagging clear span; while decreases asthe soil internal friction angle and soil cohesion increase.展开更多

Proglacial discharge is partly controlled by the geometry of the glacial drainage network and by the process of producing meltwater. The glacial-drainage system of some alpine glaciers has been characterized using a model based on proglacial discharge analysis. In this paper, we apply cross-correlation analysis to hourly hydro-climatic data collected from China's Hailuogou Glacier, a typical temperate glacier in Mt. Gongga, to study the seasonal status changes of the englacial and subglacial drainage systems by discharge-temperature (Q-T) time lag analy-sis. During early ablation season (April-May) of 2003, 2004 and 2005, the change of englacial and subglacial drainage system usually leads several outburst flood events, which are also substantiated by observing the leakage of supraglacial pond and cre-vasses pond water during field works in April, 2008. At the end of ablation season (October-December), the glacial-drainage net-works become less hydro-efficient. Those events are evidenced by hourly hydro-process near the terminus of Hailuogou Glacier, and the analysis of Q-T time lags also can be a good indicator of those changes. However, more detailed observations or experi-ments, e.g. dye-tracing experiment and recording borehole water level variations, are necessary to describe the evolutionary status and processes of englacial and subglacial drainage systems evolution during ablation season.展开更多

The results show that the maturation at the hydrocarbon regeneration peak shifts regularly forward with increasing the starting maturation and the deadline of the hydrocarbon regeneration lies about at 4.0% R o. The difference value between the peak and starting maturation of the hydrocarbon re-generation develops in a parabolalike pattern with increasing the starting maturation, and the resolute and relative laggings evolve in stage, from which the lagging depth could be predicted. The peak halfwidth of the hydrocarbon re-generation curve develops as the starting maturation increases, which might indicate that the hydrocarbonderived rocks with the starting maturation lied about at oilgenerated peak might be relatively high in the hydrocarbonregenerated amount. In the meantime, the mean reactivated energy of the coal samples with starting maturation develops in four stages that are highly consistent with those of the hydrocarbonregenerated amount and lagging, which indicated that the hydrocarbon re-generation is strictly controlled by the geochemical mechanism of the reactive kinetics.展开更多

In the meantime, the mean reactivated energy of the coal samples with starting maturation develops in four stages that are highly consistent with those of the hydrocarbonregenerated amount and lagging, which indicated that the hydrocarbon re-generation is strictly controlled by the geochemical mechanism of the reactive kinetics.

文摘A lag synchronization controller is designed in studying discrete chaotic systems with diverse structures to realize synchronization between Henon and Ikeda sys- terns. The structure of the lag synchronization controller and the error equations of state variables between discrete chaotic systems are presented based on the stability theory. The designed controller has unique structures for different chaotic systems. Lag synchro- nization between any discrete chaotic systems with diverse structures can be achieved. Simulation results show that this control method is effective and feasible.
