Based on the background that wetland resources in China are under threat and urgently need to be protected,a series of rainwater and flood problems caused by urban construction is analyzed comprehensively, and the design and planning methods of wetland parks in response to rainwater and flood disasters caused by floods and heavy rainfall are explored.Southern Anhui with complex and variable terrain and frequent rainfall and flood disasters is selected as the research area, with Xuanzhou District of Xuancheng City as the main research object. The relationship between municipal drainage of urban park and water conservancy drainage is investigated from different sample selection, design samples, and design flow rates.Based on literature review and model building methods,an urban storm flood model suitable for typical wetland parks in southern Anhui is constructed after processing the survey data using Arc GIS,SWMM(storm water management model). On this basis,a methodology and principles for designing a sponge system of wetland park based on rainwater and flood control are proposed, including technical measures such as rainwater collection, retention, and purification. This paper provides certain research results in design schemes, effect evaluations, ecological and social benefits, and useful suggestions and solutions for urban stormwater management and resilience development. 展开更多

Design increasingly plays a pivotal role in achieving justice for all. However, there are often gaps between visions and implementation due to the variety of factors and stakeholders involved in design practice.Through literature review and a keyword co-occurrence analysis, this paper investigates current landscape justice research and identifies the distinguishing concerns in design, and highlights the importance of systematic thinking in achieving landscape justice.By examining the practices of the British company Building Design Partnership(BDP),a multinational design company, this paper identifies BDP’s three key design principles as experiences can be followed for landscape justice:design for inclusion, design for resilience, and design for future ecosystems. The paper also addresses potential challenges and conflicts in implementing landscape justice across different contexts and highlights multinational design companies’efforts to mediate between various stakeholders. Finally, this paper demonstrates that design companies can contribute to 1)bridging social and environmental justice through landscape design,2)achieving the visions promoted by scholars,3)identifying and deploying diverse approaches to achieving landscape justice with their sensitivity to practical problems, and 4)fostering integrated feedback loops via both top-down and bottom-up approaches to ensure effective implementation of landscape justice. 展开更多

Southern Europe is a highly fire-prone region where extreme fires have often disastrous consequences on both structures and people.Human activities and fire weather conditions favouring ignitions and propagation have always been the drivers of such fires but anthropogenic climate change alongside the extension of wildland-urban interface(WUI)that concentrates both assets and fire ignitions have the compounding effect of exacerbating fire risk.WUI are currently not adequately prepared to sustain events whose frequency and intensity are foreseen to increase in the future as shown during the extreme fires that occurred recently in Euro-Mediterranean countries. This work presents the context of WUI fires in the Euro-Mediterranean region, their driving forces and their impacts on society, with insights from three recent catastrophic fires that drew much attention. In this context,we propose a conceptual framework for understanding the WUI issue assessing the implications for fire risk and providing some guidance to mitigate this risk, updated management strategies as well as comments about gaps in our current knowledge and how we might address this problem in the future.A successful approach to reduce fire risk in the future will require building resilient landscapes and communities better prepared to face these extreme fire events in which WUI population, forest managers, land planners, civil protection, and policy-makers need to work together to improve the safety and resilience of these fire-prone areas. 展开更多
