The method is used to analyze the motion response and mooring line tension of the flatfish cage system in waves. The cage system consists of top frames, netting, mooring lines, bottom frames, and floats. A series of scaled physical model tests in regular waves are conducted to verify the numerical model. The comparison results show that the simulated and the experimental results agree well under the wave conditions, and the maximum pitch of the bottom frame with two orientations is about 12o. The motion process of the whole cage system in the wave can be described with the computer visualized technology. Then, the mooring line tensions and the motion of the bottom frame with three kinds of weight are calculated under different wave conditions. According to the numerical results, the differences in mooring line tensions of flatfish cages with three weight modes are indistinct. The maximum pitch of the bottom frame decreases with the increase of the bottom weight.展开更多

Regarding that the core of these transformers is often the ferrite core;their functions partly depend on this core characteristic. One of the characteristics of the ferrite core is thermal behavior that should be paid attention to because it affects the transformer function and causes heat generation. In this paper, a typical high frequency transformer with ferrite core is designed and simulated in ANSYS software. Temperature rise due to winding current (Joule-heat) is considered as heat generation source for thermal behavior analysis of the transformer. In this simulation, the temperature rise and heat distribution are studied and the effects of parameters such as flux density, winding loss value, using a fan to cool the winding and core and thermal conductivity are investigated.展开更多

The proposed acceleration models can reflect vehicle interaction characteristics. Samples used for describing the starting point and the ending point of DLCP are extracted from a real NGSIM vehicle trajectory data set. The acceleration model for a lanechanging vehicle is supposed to be a linear acceleration model. The acceleration model for the following putative vehicle is constructed by referring to the optimal velocity model,in which optimal velocity is defined as a linear function of the velocity of putative leading vehicle. Similar calibration,a hypothesis test and parameter sensitivity analysis were conducted on the acceleration model of the lane-changing vehicle and following putative vehicle, respectively. This generates a wealth of behavioral data, which, while invaluable to businesses, researchers, policymakers, and the cybersecurity sector, presents significant challenges due to its unstructured nature. Existing tools for analyzing this data often lack the capability to effectively retrieve and process it comprehensively. This paper addresses the need for an advanced analytical tool that ethically and legally collects and analyzes social media data and online activity logs, constructing detailed and structured user profiles. It reviews current solutions, highlights their limitations, and introduces a new approach, the Advanced Social Analyzer (ASAN), that bridges these gaps. The proposed solutions technical aspects, implementation, and evaluation are discussed, with results compared to existing methodologies. The paper concludes by suggesting future research directions to further enhance the utility and effectiveness of social media data analysis.展开更多

The Principal Component Analysis was applied in a sample consisting of workers of the S?o Paulo Metropolitan Area, based on the origin-destination home interview survey, carried out in 1997, in order to: 1) examine the interdependence between travel patterns and a set of socioeconomic and urban environment variables;2) determine if the original database can be synthetized on components. The results enabled to observe relations between the individual’s socio-economic class and car usage, characteristics of urban environment and destination choices, as well as age and non-motorized travel mode choice. It is then concluded that the database can be adequately summarized in three components for subsequent analysis: 1) urban environment;2) socio-economic class;and 3) family structure.展开更多

On the basis of the anal ysis of the experimental data, this model simplifies the number of cycles-total cyclic strain curve of concrete as three straight line segments, and it is assumed that the stress-strain curves of different cycles in each segment are the same, thus the elastoplastic analysis is only needed for the first cycle of each segment, and the stress or strain corresponding to any number of cycles can be obtained by superposition of stress or strain obtained by the above e lastoplastic analysis based on the cyclic numbers in each segment. This model spends less computer time, and can obtain the stress and strain states of the structures after any number of cycles. The endochronic-damage and ideal offshore concrete platform subject to cyclic loading are experimented and analyzed by the finite element method based on the model proposed in this paper. The results between the experiment and the finite element analysis are in good agreement, which demonstrates the validity and accuracy of the proposed model.展开更多

The paper concludes by suggesting future research directions to further enhance the utility and effectiveness of social media data analysis.

Their dynamic characteristics are compared with each other according to calculation results, and some conclusions are presented. It is very helpful for selecting a suitable type of dual-chamber shock-strut in landing-gear design.
文摘The purity of the brazing alloys applied is necessary to be improved with the increasing cleanness of steel. Calcium is easily brought into the widely ased brazing alloy, Ag-Cu-Zn, during the producing process. This paper aims at revealing the effect of calcium on the melting behavior of the brazing alloy. The thermal analysis kinetics of silver alloy with trace calcium was studied by using differential scanning calorimetry ( DSC ) , and the enthalpy peaks were analyzed by differential methods. The rate constant of phase transformation in the probable brazing temperature range goes up with increasing calcium content, according to the values of the apparent activation energy, E, and the frequeney constant, A. It is concluded that the calcium addition could improve the melting performance of Ag-Cu-Zn brazing alloy.
文摘Wind energy provides a sustainable solution to the ever-increasing demand for energy.Micro-wind turbines offer a promising solution for low-wind speed, decentralized power generation in urban and remote areas.Earlier researchers have explored the design, development, and performance analysis of a micro-wind turbine system tailored for small-scale renewable energy generation.Researchers have investigated various aspects such as aerodynamic considerations, structural integrity, efficiency optimization to ensure reliable and cost-effective operation, blade design, generator selection, and control strategies to enhance the overall performance of the system. The objective of this paper is to provide a comprehensive design and performance review of horizontal and vertical micro-wind turbines. The study begins with an overview of the current landscape of wind energy across the globe and India in particular, highlighting key challenges and opportunities.Numerical and experimental studies were used to validate the designs.Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines(HAWTs)with ducts or shrouds are suitable for microscale and low-speed applications.Researchers investigated the position and location of the turbines to enhance their performance in urban settings.Airflow and airfoil noise produce aerodynamic noise, which is the most significant disadvantage of wind turbines. The findings provide valuable insights for stakeholders interested in advancing micro-wind turbine technology. The highlighted research opportunities may be pursued further to improve the efficiency, reliability, and overall performance of micro-wind turbines.
文摘The main objective of this study is to analyze work travel-related behavior through a set of variables relative to socio-economic class, urban environment and travel characteristics. It is then concluded that the database can be adequately summarized in three components for subsequent analysis: 1) urban environment;2) socio-economic class;and 3) family structure.
文摘The offshore reinforced concrete structures are always subject to cyclic load, such as wave load.In this paper a new finite element analysis model is developed to analyze the stress and strain state of reinforced concrete structures including offshore concrete structures, subject to any number of the cyclic load. The results between the experiment and the finite element analysis are in good agreement, which demonstrates the validity and accuracy of the proposed model.
文摘Focusing on research perspectives and methods, this paper reviews the main research on discourse analysis about how society affect courtroom discourse in nearly recent 30 years. The research shows that courtroom discourse analysis has a trend of diversified research perspectives and research methods which formerly aimed at the static, single and conventional social factors, now it comes to concern about the dynamic, interactive, and occasional ones.Social behavior theory is an emerging and unique member of it.
