Economic Assessment of Large Grid-connected Wind Farms——Avoided Cost Method

However, the method used to assess the economic value of large grid connected wind farms still needs further study. At present the traditional method of project economic assessment as widely used in China isolates the wind farm from the whole power system and ignores the influence of reliability on the cost of wind generation; therefore, the evaluation results can not reflect the true economic value of wind power generation. After reviewing the many assessment methods used at home and abroad, this paper uses the Avoided Cost Method as theoretical basis to establish an economic evaluation model for large wind farms including the characteristics of other conventional forms of power generation like thermal power as well as the system load. The generating reliability is also combined into the economic evaluation. The model is used to evaluate China's largest wind farm, Dabancheng Wind Farm in Xinjiang. 展开更多

Influence of industrial organizational structure on farming performance of large yellow croaker farmers

This paper determines the cost-benefit levels of yellow croaker farming households by comparing and analysing responses to questionnaires distributed to 405 households located in nine breeding regions of three counties(cities)in the Chinese provinces of Fujian and Zhejiang.A transcendental logarithmic stochastic frontier production function model is used to perform a quantitative analysis on the large yellow croaker production technique efficiency of different forms of industry organisation,with the farming household as the basic production unit.The findings indicate that the average production technology efficiency of the farming households is 84.33% and room for improvement remains;and there are significant differences between the production technique efficiency of farming households from different regions and under different forms of organisation.An analysis of the factors that affect farming household production technique efficiency found that capital input has a greater effect than labour input.Family participation and the number of individuals involved in the rearing of large yellow croakers,participation in technical training,and joining a closely-knit industry organisation all have a significant positive effect on increasing the production technique efficiency.These empirical results provide a basis and practical reference for optimising the development of the large yellow croaker farming industry,enhancing the degree of closeness of the organisations in the industry,and improving aquaculture performance. 展开更多

Based on the port-controlled dissipative Hamiltonian(PCDH)system,a novel nonlinear(NN)H∞control is designed for the wind farm side(WFS)voltage source converter(VSC)of VSC-based high-voltage direct current(VSC-HVDC)transmission system connected large wind farm.Firstly,the uncertain nonlinear dynamical model of WFS VSC in the VSC-HVDC is established by taking external disturbances and parameter variations into account.Then,the dissipative Hamiltonian structure of the WFS VSC system is constructed by means of variable transformation.Thirdly,on the basis of the obtained dissipative Hamiltonian structure,a NN H∞control is put forward.Finally,the simulation results show that the proposed NN H∞control gains the advantage over the interconnection and damping assignment passivity-based(IDA-PB)control. 展开更多
