Landscape Architecture Planning and Design Based on Landscape Ecology Theory:A Case Study of Waterfront Landscape Planning and Design of Dapo Town

With the rapid development of urbanization,landscape architecture has become an indispensable component of daily life.In order to achieve better landscape effects and protect the ecological environment,landscape ecology theory can be integrated into landscape planning to carry out disciplinary crossing and integration research between landscape ecology and landscape architecture.In this study,based on the basic theories of landscape ecology,the waterfront landscape of Dapo Town was designed,with the aim to achieve ecological balance in planning,showcase biodiversity,and create a harmonious landscape ecological environment which can benefit both nature and people.This design combined artificial and natural elements while improving the natural environment,which promoted a harmonious relationship between humans and nature,thus enriching the spatial organization of the city,and playing a role in regulating the urban environment and climate.

Application of Modern Construction Art in Landscape Architecture Planning and Design

The continuous progress of urbanization has driven the continuous development and innovation of landscape planning and design.Focused on the important design method of modern construction art,this study analyzed its concepts and characteristics,and made deep exploration to its application in landscape planning and design.The results indicated that modern construction art had a significant impact on landscape spatial planning and layout,spatial design forms,and spatial ornaments.The use of modern construction art concepts could make landscape design more scientific,artistic,and humane,creating higher quality leisure and entertainment venues for audiences.

Practice and Exploration of Ideological and Political Teaching in Landscape Design Courses for Environmental Design Majors

To implement the fundamental goal of moral education,based on the teaching practice of landscape design courses,we explore how to integrate value shaping,knowledge transfer,and skill cultivation in the teaching links of landscape design courses in environmental design majors,such as selecting design topics,assigning tasks,researching projects,designing works,designing explanations,and defense.

Improving landscape Characteristics in Port Said’s El Sallam Garden via Observational and Space Syntax Analysis

This paper provides a comprehensive examination of El Sallam Garden in Port Said City,concentrating on its landscape characteristics and potential for design enhancement.This study looks at how space syntax can be used to assess the impact of a tree planting design’s spatial configuration on an urban park’s visual fields.Trees play an important role in determining the spatial characteristics of an outdoor space.According to space syntax theory,an urban area is a collection of connected spaces that can be represented by a matrix of quantitative properties known as syntactic measures.Computer simulations can be used to measure the quantitative properties of these matrices.This study uses space syntax techniques to assess how tree configurations and garden area which can affect the social structures of small-scale gardens in Port Said.It also looks at how these techniques can be used to predict the social structures of four garden zones in El Sallam Garden.The study includes an observational and space syntax study through comparative analysis of four garden zones in El Sallam garden.The results of the study show that the area and planting configurations of the garden had a significant effect on the syntactic social and visual measures of the urban garden.The conclusions and recommendations can be a useful tool for landscape architects,urban planners,and legislators who want to enhance public areas and encourage social interaction in urban settings.

Research on the Campus Cultural Landscape of the Tibetan-Yi Corridor:Taking the Middle and Primary Schools in Meigu County of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture as an Example

In view of rural revitalization,the Meigu area,as a key region of the Tibetan-Yi Corridor,faces challenges in educational development and the construction of campus cultural landscapes.Campus landscape culture,as the foundation of campus culture,is one of the important factors affecting the quality of campus education.Integrating traditional cultural elements such as Yi patterns and totems into the design can effectively enhance the aesthetic of the campus,promote the local ethnic characteristic culture,and inject new vitality into rural revitalization.Therefore,this paper applies traditional Yi cultural elements to the design of campus cultural landscapes.This is of great significance for improving the rural school environment and enhancing students’enthusiasm for learning and cultural identity.Besides,it provides an alternative for the preservation and development of local culture.

Practice and Exploration of Experiential Theme Landscape Design in Urban Historic Blocks: A Case Study of Shengjin Tower Folk Custom Historical Block in Nanchang

Urban historic blocks are an important part of urban public space,but urban public space pays far less attention to users’experience,and there is a lack of design problem of experiential theme landscape.The landscape design practice of Shengjin Tower Folk Custom Historical Block in Nanchang provides an attempt to explore the design problem of experiential theme landscape.In this paper,the results of the design practice were sorted out and summarized,and the specific conception of the experiential design of urban public space was discussed from three aspects of the experiential control design,spatial experience design and serial experience design of the historic block on the basis of elaborating the design concept,so as to provide inspiration and reference for similar urban historic block projects.

Application of Jingchu Cultural Elements in Theme Park Landscape Design

As an important part of Chinese excellent traditional culture,Jingchu culture has profound historical and cultural value.The exploration and application of Jingchu culture elements is conducive to carrying forward and inheriting history and culture and enriching urban cultural deposits.Theme park is an important place to spread and promote Jingchu culture.It is of far-reaching significance to study and explore the integration of Jingchu culture elements into the construction of theme park.This paper analyzes the concept and connotation of Jingchu culture,combs and analyzes the extraction content of Jingchu culture elements,and summarizes the expression pathways of Jingchu culture elements in theme park and the practical application in Jingzhou Fantawild,in order to provide certain inspiration and reference for contemporary landscape designers to better inherit and develop Jingchu culture elements.

Planning and Design of Geological Landscape Popular Science Exhibition in Urban Geopark:A Case Study of Zhengzhou Yellow River National Geopark

Urban geopark is the backyard garden of urban residents’life.Geological landscape popular science exhibition enables people to receive geological popular science knowledge easily and happily while playing,which will virtually strengthen people’s protection awareness of urban geological landscape.Urban geopark landscape is featured by unique typical geological characteristics.It is a realistic problem that troubles the planning and design of geological landscape popular science exhibition in urban geopark by effectively protecting these geological landscapes and upgrading them into urban popular science leisure tourism resources.Taking Zhengzhou Yellow River National Geopark as an example,this paper systematically studies the planning and design of geological landscape popular science exhibition in urban geopark.

Ecological Design of Expressway Based on the Perspective of Landscape Ecology

The construction and operation of expressways will also bring a series of environmental and ecological problems,such as land use conflicts,ecological damage,environmental pollution,etc.In order to solve such problems,it is necessary to strengthen the application of landscape ecology.From the perspective of landscape ecology,this paper first introduces the impact of expressways on the ecological environment,and then analyzes the principles of expressway ecological landscape design.Landscaping,ecological environment,customer satisfaction,and other aspects have all performed well,with an optimization rate of over 90%.Future expressway design can strengthen the application of landscape ecology.

Research on the Reform Strategy of Integrating Labor Education into Landscape Design Curriculum

With the development of the new era,the concept of three-whole education has put forward a requisite where teaching must begin from the current state of student labor,integrate labor education into subject teaching,and cultivate and improve students’awareness of labor through practice and guidance.In this paper,the importance of integrating labor education into landscape design courses and the current state of integration are discussed.On this basis,the reform strategy of integrating labor education into landscape design curriculum is explored,laying a foundation for a better implementation of labor education.

Evaluation of urban river landscape design rationality based on AHP

An evaluation model for the rationality of the landscape design of urban rivers was established with the analytic hierarchy process （AHP） method so as to provide a foundation for updating the landscape design of urban rivers. The evaluation system was divided into four layers, including the target layer, the comprehensive layer, the element layer, and the index layer. Each layer was made of different indices. The evaluation standards for each index were also given in this paper. This evaluation model was proved tenable through its application to the landscape design rationality evaluation of the Weihe River in Xinxiang City of Henan Province. The results show that the water quality, space, activity, facility, community, width of vegetation, sense of beauty and water content are among the most influential factors and should be considered the main basis for evaluating the rationality of the landscape design of urban rivers.

Codebook Design and Beam Training for Extremely Large-Scale RIS:Far-Field or Near-Field?

Reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)is more likely to develop into extremely large-scale RIS(XL-RIS)to efficiently boost the system capacity for future 6 G communications.Beam training is an effective way to acquire channel state information(CSI)for XL-RIS.Existing beam training schemes rely on the far-field codebook.However,due to the large aperture of XL-RIS,the scatters are more likely to be in the near-field region of XL-RIS.The far-field codebook mismatches the near-field channel model.Thus,the existing far-field beam training scheme will cause severe performance loss in the XL-RIS assisted nearfield communications.To solve this problem,we propose the efficient near-field beam training schemes by designing the near-field codebook to match the nearfield channel model.Specifically,we firstly design the near-field codebook by considering the near-field cascaded array steering vector of XL-RIS.Then,the optimal codeword for XL-RIS is obtained by the exhausted training procedure.To reduce the beam training overhead,we further design a hierarchical nearfield codebook and propose the corresponding hierarchical near-field beam training scheme,where different levels of sub-codebooks are searched in turn with reduced codebook size.Simulation results show the proposed near-field beam training schemes outperform the existing far-field beam training scheme.

Behavioral fragmentation of waterfowl habitat and its landscape ecological design in Shuangtai-hekou Reserve,Liaoning,China

Behavioral fragmentation of wildlife habitat is discussed. Using “buffer” module in ARC/INFO, behavioral fragmentation habitat of Red crowned crane, Saunders gull, Oriental white stork and Siberian white crane was calculated in the Shuangtai hekou National Reserve, Liaoning Province, China. The result showed that breeding Red crowned crane, Siberian white crane and breeding Saunders gull are very sensitive to fragmentation factors. Suitable habitat is so little for more than 2000 Saunders gull to breed. The reserve only has a capacity of 38 pairs for breeding Red crowed crane. Two key measures were made. First, dismantles all the abandoned oil wells and recovers the original ecosystem to decrease the fragmentation effect, directly benefit to breeding or migration of Red crowned crane and Oriental white stork. Second, recovers the Suaeda tidal mud flat from artificial shrimp and crab pond in the kernel zone of the reserve to enlarge the habitat area of Saunders gull and Siberian white crane.

Landscape Preference Evaluation for Hospital Environmental Design

This paper examined users’ preferences for landscape design of grounds and spaces surrounding hospitals, in order to assess how they perceived the landscape facilities so as to make future open spaces of hospitals suitable to users’ needs. The method of the research was based on quantifying a questionnaire survey of a representative sample of personnel (doctors, nurses, administrative staff and medical students) by using the stratified sample research programme that was carried out in March 2007 at the University Hospital of the city of Alexandroupolis, situated in northeastern Greece. The results of study show that users of hospital cared about footpaths, resting areas, social and public spaces, personal spaces, water features and a dominant, limited range of colors in landscaping. They also require environment that supports the principles and specifications of Therapeutic Hospital Gardens. Based on the results of this research, (a) interventions have been proposed (e.g., footpaths, resting areas, social and public spaces, personal spaces, water features and a dominant, limited range of colors in landscaping), and (b) the principles and specifications for the landscape design of Therapeutic Hospital Gardens have also been evaluated and have been redefined in the light of the study findings. These results also provide the opportunity for health care decision makers to apply and to incorporate user considerations into overall landscape design for current and future health care programs.

Application of Fengshui Doctrines in Landscape Architecture Design

Proceeding from the concept of Fengshui, the author focused on the influence of Fengshui on construction activities in ancient China, and proposed that Fengshui has impacted not only site selection and layout of ancient cities, towns, villages, palaces and residences, but also site selection and layout of classical Chinese gardens. On this basis, application of Fengshui in modern landscape architecture design was explored, and the harmony between garden planning and environment factors was stressed, and also psychological factors of human beings emphasized. In this way, the doctrine of "human-nature oneness" was demonstrated, spirit of place and actual conditions of the planning site respected, and propitious culture manifested.

Landscape Architecture Design in China under the Influence of Postmodernism

Based on interpretation of post-modernism, basic design techniques of landscape architecture in China under the influence of post-modernism were summarized through analyzing its influence and comparing domestic and overseas scholars' understanding of post-modern landscape architecture. The study aims at providing scientific references for the future theoretical and practical researches on the design of post-modern landscape architecture in China.

Analysis of Courtyard Plant Landscape Design

Plant landscaping in courtyard design was studied from four perspectives of building, water, road, garden setting and plant landscaping. Landscape designs in Guangzhou Baiyun Hotel, the Humble Administrator's Garden (Suzhou), and bamboo pathway of Small Yingzhou in the West Lake (Hangzhou) to improve scientific and artistic properties of plant landscaping, and develop economic, social and ecological effects of garden green spaces to the most.

Application of Shanshui Culture in Campus Landscape Design

Campus landscape as the essence of campus environment accentuates the history, culture and time characteristics of university. Pleasant and elegant campus landscape conveys spirit, aesthetic taste, and cultural connotation of the university; furthermore, it makes people active and struggle for it. Shanshui culture on campus landscape design has important signifi cance and function and appeal to the design conception of landscape and planning strategy to follow the principles of integrity, ecology and comfort.

Study on Ecological Landscape Design in Rural Sewage Treatment-Taking Sanmenxia Lushi Sewage Treatment Station as an Example

The problem of water pollution is one of the long-term difficulties in the process of rural environmental construction and economic development in China.In order to meet the requirements of the country’s green and sustainable development,many regions actively promote the construction of rural sewage treatment and fill in the shortcomings of the rural habitat environment to accelerate the construction of beautiful and livable villages.Through a lot of literature and case studies,this paper explores the environmental problems that are common in rural sewage treatment in the northern region of China,explores advanced domestic and foreign cases and technologies on this topic,and summarizes the landscape design strategies on this issue.From the perspective of ecological landscape design,the thesis seeks the theoretical and technical support for rural sewage treatment in river valley areas,and establishes a bridge between rural sewage treatment technology and ecological landscape.Finally,combining theory with practice,taking the project of Lushi sewage treatment in Sanmenxia as an example,team completed the landscape design of ecological sewage purification display area in Zhangjiacun.The design focuses on presenting the application of internal sewage treatment technology and external landscape aesthetics.According to the main points of ecological landscape design and the theory of ecological edge effect,the local ecological system is effectively protected,and a rural domestic sewage purification display area with economic benefits is constructed.
