To address this gap, this study has established an analytical model using dimensional analysis for calculating the deformation of reinforced bars within RC beams subjected to contact explosion. Comparison with experimental data reveals that the model has a relative error of 5.22%, effectively reflecting the deformation of reinforced bars. Additionally, based on this model, the study found that while concrete does influence the deformation of reinforced bars, this influence can be disregarded in comparison to the material properties of the bars themselves. The findings of this study have implications for calculating the residual load-bearing capacity of damaged RC beams, evaluating the extent of damage to RC beams after blast loading, and providing guidance for the blast-resistant design of RC structures.展开更多

In this work, we fill this gap by numerical simulations based on the experimental data, which indicate that in a C-shape magnet, magnetic field possesses the beam focusing effect, considering that the divergence angle will result in an increase in the full width at half maxima(FWHM) of the electron density distribution in a uniformly isotropic manner, while the length-to-width ratio decreases. This indicates that the energy spread obtained from the electron deflection distance is smaller than the actual value, regardless of the divergence angle. A promising and efficient way to accurately correct the value is presented by considering the divergence angle(for instance, for an electron beam with a length-to-width ratio of 1.12, the energy spread correct from 1.2% to 1.5%), providing a reference for developing the high-quality electron beam source.展开更多

The strain-displacement relations (kine-matic equations) are calculated by the displacement fields of the twisted micro-beam. The strain gradient theory (SGT) is used to implement the size dependent effect at micro-scale. Finally, using an energy method and Hamilton's principle, the governing equations of motion for the twisted micro-beam are derived. Natural frequencies and the wave prop- agation speed of the twisted micro-beam are calculated with an analytical method. Also, the natural frequency, the phase speed, the cut-off frequency, and the wave number of the twisted micro-beam are obtained by considering three material length scale parameters, the rate of twist angle, the thickness, the length of twisted micro-beam, and the elastic medium. The results of this work indicate that the phase speed in a twisted micro-beam increases with an increase in the rate of twist angle. Moreover, the wave number is in- versely related with the thickness of micro-beam. Meanwhile, it is directly related to the wave propagation frequency. Increasing the rate of twist angle causes the increase in the natural frequency especially with higher thickness. The effect of the twist angle rate on the group velocity is observed at a lower wave propagation frequency.展开更多

The influence of a collimating system and thermal blooming is considered together with atmospheric turbulence and me- chanical jitter. The laser energy concentration of partially coherent beams in the far field is calculated and analysed based on the theoretical model. It is shown that the propagation performance of partially coherent beams depends on the collimating system, atmospheric turbulence, mechanical jitter and thermal blooming. The propagation performance of partially coherent beams and fully coherent beams is studied and the results show that partially coherent beams are less sensitive to the influence of thermal blooming, which results in that the energy degeneration for partially coherent beams is only 50% of that for fully coherent beams. Both partially coherent beams and fully coherent beams become less sensitive to thermal blooming when the average structural constant of the refraction index fluctuations increases to 1.7×10^-14 m^-2/3. The investigation presents a reference for applications of a high-power fibre laser system.展开更多

It has great significance to improve various optical systems for wide application in trapping cold atoms, creating gratings, and atmospheric optical communication. We calculate analytical formulas for the spectral density (SD) and the propagation factors Mx2 and My2 of a GSMA beam. The influence of inner scale of turbulence in the jet engine exhaust region on its power spectrum has been also analyzed. According to these results, the influence of turbulence in a jet engine exhaust on a GSMA beam has been reduced by changing the parameters of light source and turbulence. For example, it is an excellent tool for mitigation of the jet engine exhaust-induced anisotropy of turbulence to increase the source coherence length, the root-mean-squared (rms) beam width, the wavelength or reduce the outer scale of turbulence.
文摘The Fourier series method was extended for the exact analysis of wave propagation in an infinite rectangular beam.Initially,by solving the three-dimensional elastodynamic equations a general analytic solution was derived for wave motion within the beam. And then for the beam with stress-free boundaries, the propagation characteristics of elastic waves were presented. This accurate wave propagation model lays a solid foundation of simultaneous control of coupled waves in the beam.

文摘In this research, vibration and wave propagation analysis of a twisted micro- beam on Pasternak foundation is investigated. The effect of the twist angle rate on the group velocity is observed at a lower wave propagation frequency.
文摘The propagation performance of high-power partially coherent fibre laser beams in a real environment is inves- tigated and the theoretical model of a high-power fibre laser propagating in a real environment is established. The investigation presents a reference for applications of a high-power fibre laser system.

文摘An exact, general solution for laser beams propagating in longitudinally inhomogeneous plasmas is obtained in the form of the diffraction integral. The Gaussian beam and the Hermite-Gaussian beam are taken for example. In the case of an increasing plasma density along the propagation distance, natural diffraction of the Gaussian beam is retarded. This retardance has a less effect on the central part of the Hermite-Gaussian beam while a considerable rise of the power in bucket (PIB) occurs in the surrounding part of the beam.

文摘Wave propagation analysis for a functionally graded nanobeam with rectangular cross-section resting on visco-Pasternak's foundation is studied in this paper. Timoshenko's beam model and nonlocal elasticity theory are employed for formulation of the problem. The equations of motion are derived using Hamilton's principals by calculating kinetic energy, strain energy and work due to viscoelastic foundation. The effects of various parameters such as wavenumber, non-homogeneous index, nonlocal parameter and three parameters of foundation are performed on the phase velocity of the nanobeam. The obtained results indicate that some parameters such as non-homogeneous index, nonlocal parameter and wavenumber have significant effect on the response of the system.

文摘By containing ponderomotive self-channeling,the propagation behavior of an intense laser beam and the physical conditions are obtained theoretically in a radial power-law plasma channel. It is found that ponderomotive self-channeling results in the emergence of a solitary wave and catastrophic focusing, which apparently decreases the region for stable propagation in a parameter space of laser power and the ratio of the initial laser spot radius to the channel radius(RLC).Direct numerical simulation confirms the theory of constant propagation, periodic defocusing and focusing oscillations in the parameter space, and reveals a radial instability which prevents the formation of bright and dark solitary waves. The corresponding unstable critical curve is added in the parameter space numerically and the induced unstable region above the unstable critical curve covers that of catastrophic focusing, which shrinks the stable region for laser beams. For the expected constant propagation, the results reveal the need for a low RLC.Further study illustrates that the channel power-law exponent has an obvious effect on the final stable region and laser propagation, for example increasing this exponent can enlarge the stable region significantly, which is beneficial for guiding of the laser and increases the lowest RLC for constant propagation. Our results also show that the initial laser amplitude has an apparent influence on the propagation behavior.

文摘Based on the dynamic governing equation of propagating buckle on a beam on a nonlinear elastic foundation, this paper deals with an important problem of buckle arrest by combining the FEM with a time integration technique. A new conclusion completely different from that by the quasi-static analysis about the buckle arrestor design is drawn. This shows that the inertia of the beam cannot be ignored in the analysis under consideration, especially when the buckle propagation is suddenly stopped by the arrestors.

文摘The T-joints of Ti?6Al?4V alloy were manufactured by double-sided synchronized laser beam welding with the homologous filler wire. The formation, microstructure and mechanical properties of welded joints as well as the correlations of each other were investigated. The results indicate that the quality of weld seams is good without defects such as discontinuity, beading, visible cracks or porosity, which is linked to the steady molten pool behavior and droplet transition. The morphologies of the heat affected zone (HAZ) located on the skin and stringer are disparate. The microstructure of the HAZ and fusion zone (FZ) is mainly comprised of acicular martensiticα′ phases. The microhardness of the HAZ and FZ is higher than that of the base metal (BM) and reaches a maximum value at the HAZ near FZ on the stringer. The tensile specimens along the skin and stringer fractured at the BM with ductile fracture surfaces.
