The leader tracks a pre-defined trajectory and at the same time the leader uses the feedback information from followers to the leader to modify its motion. The advantage of this control scheme is that it reduces the tracking errors and improves the robustness of the team cohesion to followers' faults. The results of simulation are provided to illustrate that information feedback can improve the performance of the system.展开更多

Firstly, each follower node is modeled by an integrator incorporating with nonlinear dynamics. The leader node is modeled as an autonomous nonlinear system which sends its information to one or more followers. Then, a simple and novel distributed protocol is proposed based only on the state feedback, under which the states of the followers ultimately synchronize to the leader. By using Lyapunov stability theorem and matrix theory, it is proved that the distributed leader-following consensus of nonlinear multi-agent systems with strict-feedback form is guaranteed by Lipschitz continuous control laws. Finally, some numerical simulations are provided to show the effectiveness of the developed method.展开更多

An uncertain Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed for fuzzy modelling of an unknown chaotic system. A sufficient condition formulated in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) for the existence of fuzzy controller is obtained. Then the output feedback fuzzy-model-based regulator derived from the LMI solutions can guarantee the stability of the closed-loop overall fuzzy system. The T-S fuzzy model of the chaotic Chen system is developed as an example for illustration. The effectiveness of the proposed controller design methodology is finally demonstrated through computer simulations on the uncertain Chen chaotic system.展开更多

Formulaic solution methodology for solving the nonlinear partial differential equations, namely the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman and Hamilton-Jacobi-Isaacs equations through successive Galerkin’s approximation is implemented and the results are compared. Throughout the implementation, there were several caveats that need to be further resolved for practical applications in general cases. A simple nonlinear state time-delay feedback controller is designed by parallel distributed compensation technique. Then, the asymptotically approximate relationship between the controlled continuous-time T-S fuzzy system with time-delay and a discrete-time T-S fuzzy system is established. Based on the discrete-time T-S fuzzy system, it proves that the chaos in the discrete- time T-S fuzzy system satisfies the Li-Yorke definition by choosing appropriate controller parameters via the revised Marotto theorem. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed chaotic anticontrol method is verified by a practical example.展开更多
