Influence of Online Learning Attitude in the Blended Teaching Model on the Final Grades

The combination of online teaching and traditional offline teaching can maximize the advantages of both.Based on the blended teaching of English Reading course,39 students were selected as the research subjects to study the relationship between their online learning attitudes and their grades in the final examination.Judged from the number of times for each student to download teaching resources,the number of assignments submitted online,and the quality of the submitted assignments,each student’s attitude toward online learning was examined comprehensively,and a correlation analysis was conducted through SPSS Statistics 21.0 to explore the influence of online learning attitude on English reading performance.Through data collection and analysis of the online learning attitudes over a 16-week period,a significant positive correlation was found between the online learning attitudes and the English reading grades,indicating that the online learning attitude in the blended learning model plays a crucial role in improving the English reading skill,and students should maintain a positive attitude toward online teaching in blended learning.

A Study on the Causes of Students'Poor Learning Attitudes and the Social Psychological Countermeasures to Change Them

At this stage,with the continuous improvement of the quality of life and education,students at all levels of education are facing great pressure of learning and competition in life.If these pressures are not relieved orsolved in a timely manner,the lighter they affect daily life and learning,the more serious they cause mental health problems such as depression and anxiety,and even the horrible idea of ending their lives prematurely.Therefore,educators must pay great attention to students'learning status and mental health,and if students are found to have bad learning attitudes,they must promptly understand the causes of their balearning attitudes and,on that basis,develop and implement effective psychologicalguidance and mental health education programs to alleviate students'learning stress and mental health problems.In social psychology,students'behavior is the main influencing factor of learning mental health,behavior and mental health have a close relationship,through student behavior patterns and changes in learning attitudes can understand the psychological characteristics and health status of students.Therefore,many educators analyze the causes of students'poor learning attitudes based on socialpsychology,and develop and implement effective mental health education countermeasures to improve and transform poor learning attitudes.

Relationship between self-directed learning readiness, learning attitude, and self-efficacy of nursing undergraduates

Objective: The purposes of this study were to analyze the influencing factors of self-directed learning readiness(SDLR) of nursing undergraduates and explore the impacts of learning attitude and self-efficacy on nursing undergraduates.Methods: A total of 500 nursing undergraduates were investigated in Tianjin, with the Chinese version of SDLR scale, learning attitude questionnaire of nursing college students, academic self-efficacy scale, and the general information questionnaire.Result: The score of SDLR was 149.99±15.73. Multiple stepwise regressions indicated that academic self-efficacy, learning attitude, attitudes to major of nursing, and level of learning difficulties were major influential factors and explained 48.1% of the variance in SDLR of nursing interns.Conclusions: The score of SDLR of nursing undergraduates is not promising. It is imperative to correct students' learning attitude, improve self-efficacy, and adopt appropriate teaching model to improve SDLR.

A Study on the Relationship between English Learning Motivation and Learning Effect

In order to explore the relationship between college students’English learning motivation and learning effect,this paper uses a questionnaire survey to investigate and analyze the English classroom learning motivation of first-year non-English majors.Based on the final English score,the paper analyzes the correlation between English learning motivation and learning effect.

Comparative Study of Vocabulary Learning Difficulties Experienced by Urban and Rural Middle School Students--A Case Study of Xiyanfang Middle School and Middle School Attached to XATU

It is greatly significant for middle school students to learn vocabulary in English learning.However,there are many barriers while mastering vocabulary.By comparing the current situation of vocabulary learning between urban and rural middle school students,the paper tries to find out the specific aspects of backwardness in vocabulary learning of rural middle school students.Reasons which cause the difficulties will be investigated and then corresponding solutions will be put forward to narrow the gap between urban and rural middle school students in vocabulary learning.

The Impacts of Co-creation of Local Culture English Books on EFL 5th Graders＇ English Vocabulary Ability and Local Cultural Knowledge

The purpose of this study aims to explore the impacts of task-based co-creation of local picture books on facilitating the development of vocabulary ability and cultural knowledge ofEFL 5th graders with different English proficiency levels in Taiwan. Twenty-one 5th graders participated in this study forty minutes per week, lasting for sixteen weeks. They were required to co-create English picture books of Pinghu through thematic task-based activities. Research data required for the study were collected through the pre-/post-tests of vocabulary and cultural knowledge, a participants＇ feedback questionnaire as well as semi-structured interviews. The results of this study showed that after experimental instruction, EFL 5th graders significantly improved their recognition of the connection between English word sounds and word meanings, word meanings and word forms, word forms and word meanings, as well as spellings. Moreover, their local cultural knowledge was improved significantly as well. Furthermore, based upon the 5th graders＇ responses to questionnaire and semi-structure interview, most of them developed a very positive attitude towards the activities of co-creating local picture books and their interest, self-confidence in English writing, and English learning behavior. Based on the findings, some suggestions were offered for the pedagogical applications and future studies.

Study on the Significance of Applying Motivational Strategies in College English Teaching

Most college students are passionate and excited about attending college English as freshman.As time goes by,they become bored and poorly motivated in attending the English class.In this paper,the motivational strategies that can be applied in college English teaching will be discussed from four perspectives.These strategies may provide useful references for college English teachers who want to motivate students to get involved in English study.

The Significance of Emphasizing Culture Awareness in the New Standards for English in China -- An Educational Psychological Perspective

The New Standards for English issued in 2001 defined English learning as to develop ＂comprehensive competence in language using＂, which consists of language competence, language knowledge, affective aspects, learning strategy and cultural awareness. Meanwhile, as educational psychologists, De Corte et al advocate four theories in teaching and learning process, which include a theory of expertise, namely, （1） A well-organized and flexibly accessible domain specific knowledge base; （2） Heuristic methods; （3） Meta-knowledge; （4） Self-regulatory skills; （5） Beliefs. Not coincidently, the New Standards is in line with the theory of educational psychology. This gives the way to the author to argue, from the view of educational psychology, by analyzing culture awareness as being functional in meta-cognition and self-regulation aspects in expertise development, the importance of emphasizing culture awareness in English language teaching and learning.
