This paper mainly discussed the path of ecological development education in higher vocational colleges.The research progress of ecological development education in higher vocational colleges at home and abroad was analyzed.The theoretical framework and basic principles of ecological development education in higher vocational colleges were constructed,including the concept of ecological civilization,knowledge system and practical path,etc..It expounded the basic principles of ecological development education from 7 aspects:practicality,systematization,subjectivity,openness,dynamic,pluralism and scientific nature.This paper put forward suggestions for the evaluation and improvement of the ecological development education in higher vocational colleges,emphasizing the establishment of evaluation index system,empirical research and the establishment of long-term mechanism.Finally,suggestions were given to improve the education path of ecological development,such as strengthening practical education,building education system,promoting international development,strengthening industrial integration and using information technology.This paper systematically expounded the theoretical basis,practical path and improvement suggestions of ecological development education in higher vocational colleges,which provided the theoretical guidance and practical reference for promoting the reform and innovation of ecological development education in higher vocational colleges. 展开更多

Vocational education is an important part of the overall education system.The development of higher vocational education is one of the guiding principles of education in China.The development of teachers is an important support for the development of vocational education.Teachers who can teach theoretically and guide students in practical work are known as“double-qualified”teachers.Building a highly qualified and professional double-qualified teaching team is the fundamental task in modernizing vocational education.Firstly,this paper discusses the importance of“double-qualified”teachers by describing the relevant policies of the Ministry of Education in China.Secondly,it reviews the research works of early scholars.Thirdly,it analyzes the main problems of teacher training in higher education institutions.Fourthly,it proposes five suggestions for the development of a“double-qualified”teaching team in higher education institutions.A high level and professional teaching team is an important support for the high-quality development of vocational institutions.School leaders must attach great importance to the construction of a“double-qualified”teaching team and increase the support in terms of policies,institutional protection,and financial investment. 展开更多

This research seeks to focus specifically on a less-studied group within the Chinese College English curriculum: vocationalstudents—especially vocational students studying within an educational institution in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing.This small-scale survey(n = 129) was conducted in College English classes to determine if the motivational factors of vocationalstudents remained aligned or distinct from those of their peers across Chinese higher education. Subsequent analysis from the sur-vey findings have shown that while gender differences remain manifested and are aligned with established trends and assumptionspertaining to L2 motivational factors within this context, more research is required to delve into the reasons and rationale behindthe choices made by vocational students in southwestern China within this particular survey instrument. 展开更多

Based on the fact that The English Teaching Syllabus at Higher Vocational Colleges doesn't mention the development of cultural awareness, the author attempts to select cultural items for students in English teaching at Higher Vocational Colleges. The author concludes the frequency of the common cultural mistakes that Chinese usually make in intercultural communication according to recent materials and documents on intercultural communication. The frequency of the cultural mistakes can be regarded as ' the frequency of cultural items that should appear in cultural teaching'. It has two functions. Firstly, it can be used as a parameter to measure the degree of necessity to choose this cultural item. Secondly, it can be used as a parameter to measure the relative degree of the importance of this cultural item, that is, as a parameter for us to determine that this item is more important than another. Then the author makes a comparison between the communicative functions in the Syllabus and the common cultural mistakes made by Chinese learners of English. Lastly, according to the findings above, the author obtains the main cultural items that students at Higher Vocational Colleges must learn. 展开更多
