A Study of Innovative College English Teaching Model for Global Competence

Against the backdrop of globalization and deepening international cooperation,countries are putting forward higher demands on the global competence of talents.In this context,college English teaching,as an important part of the higher education system,faces the challenge of cultivating globally competent talents.This study analyzes the core components of global competence through literature review,analyzes the deficiencies in existing college English teaching,and aims to explore and construct a college English teaching model that is compatible with the global competence framework.This study explores how to integrate global competency development into college English teaching from three aspects:curriculum content,teaching methodology,and assessment system.We expect that the proposed teaching model can effectively improve students’English application skills,intercultural communication skills,and critical thinking skills,so as to better meet the demand for global competence in the context of globalization.

Research on Blended Teaching in Integrated English Course Based on BOPPPS Model

The BOPPPS model has been widely used in information-based teaching reform,which emphasizes studentcentered principles and student participation and interaction,including six steps:bridge-in,objective,pre-assessment,participatory learning,post-assessment,and summary.This paper applies the BOPPPS model in the Integrated English course at the three stages of teaching practice-before class,during class,and after class-to achieve blended teaching.It shows that this teaching mode provides students with a more abundant learning experience,helps to stimulate students’learning interests,and improves their comprehensive language application skills.

An Exploration of the Interactive Web-based College English Teaching Model

In the light of the theory of constructivism, the interactive web-based college English teaching model is intended to facilitate ＂autonomy＂, ＂inquiry＂ and ＂cooperation＂ in learning English. Exploring and Practicing a Teaching Model of Dialogue-scene Simulation in Medical English

Practicing dialogue-scene simulation in medical English can integrate effectively learning resources, activate the class atmosphere, enrich contents of courses, train language skills and raise students' cooperated consciousness.Furthermore,practicing dialogue-scene simulation can promote reform of teaching estimation-model, teaching quality and efficiency. In a word, practicing dialogue-scene simulation deserves further exploration and promotion.

Influence of Online Learning Attitude in the Blended Teaching Model on the Final Grades

The combination of online teaching and traditional offline teaching can maximize the advantages of both.Based on the blended teaching of English Reading course,39 students were selected as the research subjects to study the relationship between their online learning attitudes and their grades in the final examination.Judged from the number of times for each student to download teaching resources,the number of assignments submitted online,and the quality of the submitted assignments,each student’s attitude toward online learning was examined comprehensively,and a correlation analysis was conducted through SPSS Statistics 21.0 to explore the influence of online learning attitude on English reading performance.Through data collection and analysis of the online learning attitudes over a 16-week period,a significant positive correlation was found between the online learning attitudes and the English reading grades,indicating that the online learning attitude in the blended learning model plays a crucial role in improving the English reading skill,and students should maintain a positive attitude toward online teaching in blended learning.

A Study of Blended-teaching Model in Medical English

Based on the analysis of the current college Medical English teaching and the study of the blendedteaching model,the author practiced the model in the real teaching.In the process,the author verified the usefulness and effectiveness of the Blended-teaching Model,which can break the limitation of the classroom teaching.The students could contact with each other and also with the teacher conveniently whatever in-class and offclass in the learning process.

Research on the Construction of College English Diversified Learning Assessment System under the O2O Teaching Model

The O2O (Online to Offline) teaching model integrates online and offline teaching deeply, breaking the inherent mode of traditional teaching and bringing new opportunities for higher education teaching reform. The evaluation of subject diversity can improve the quality of evaluation results and put forward higher requirements for evaluation organizers. The O2O mixed teaching model combining online and offline learning is expected to be a feasible way to improve current classroom teaching and improve students' learning performance. In practical teaching, online knowledge internalization can not solve puzzles in learning through interaction in time. Research on Blended Teaching Model in College English Based on Mobile Learning App

Mobile learning is the general trend of the times and the inevitable choice for the reform and development of college English teaching.This article attempts to use blended learning theory,mobile learning theory,and instructional design theory as a guide.In many English mobile learning apps,Superstar Learning Link is used as an example to design an online and offline blended teaching mode.It proposes thinking expansion and interaction in pre-class stage.Consolidation of input and outputoriented process are during class and evaluation and sublimation are made after class.The essay is aimed to break the boundaries between traditional teaching and mobile learning,combining synchronous learning with personalized learning in order to improve comprehensive levels of English.

Constructing Teaching Model for Training English Guides of Stone Inscription Relics

A teaching model based on constructivism is proposed in this paper. The model contains five teaching steps, e.g. interpretation teaching, questioning- dialogue, knowledge and skills teaching, discussion- collaboration and field training. Practice proves that it can effectively improve the training efficiency of the training of English guides of stone inscription relics and enhance their interpretation quality and English skills.

Research on Teaching Model in Business English Writing

According to the characteristics of Business English Writing Course,this essay analyses the teaching status, then in the frame of communication theory, it puts forward a new teaching model—PIADA. A study on effects of different instruction models in military English teaching

SPSS statistical analysis system is used to examine the teaching effects of three different instruction models which are commonly used in military English teaching. Of the three models, interactive teaching model has shown to have advantage over the other two, the situational teaching model and the task-based Instruction model. It is concluded that it is beneficial to improve teaching effects in military English teaching if the teacher can stimulate students to involve themselves more in class. To do so, it is necessary to strike a balance between the learners＇ language input and output so as to ensure that the input knowledge be consolidated and digested through practice in output.

The Application of the Trial-Discovery Model to English Grammar Teaching in Senior High Schools

In senior high schools, great importance and attention are required to be attached to grammar teaching and learning. However, a majority of teachers either apply the traditional method or neglect grammar teaching and learning, both of which go against the ideas of the new curriculum of the high school. To solve the problem, based on the constructionist theory, Halliday＇s theory of register, and the trial-discovery model, the trial-discovery English grammar teaching model was constructed. To find out whether this teaching model is more effective than the traditional grammar teaching, an experimental study of the trial-discovery model in senior English grammar teaching is carried out. This study deals with the problem how we can improve the efficiency of grammar teaching, that is by increasing the students＇ learning interest and improving the accuracy in English writing. After the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data collected through questionnaires, interviews, and writing tests, the study reveals that the trial-discovery grammar teaching is more effective to stimulate the students＇ interest in learning grammar, and is more helpful to improve the accuracy and complexity in English writing than the traditional grammar teaching

A Study on the Effectiveness of Autonomous-Cooperative Teaching and Learning Model Based on large -class English Teaching in Higher Vocational College

This paper just focuses on introducing the new model and testing its effectiveness in teaching English. Within this new model, both in-class learning and out-of-class learning are emphasized. In this paper, an experimental study is conducted upon non-English majors to test the effectiveness of autonomous-cooperative teaching and learning model for college English teaching (CET). The experimental study has lasted for half a year. Finally, from the experiment it can prove that the autonomous-cooperative teaching and learning model is feasible for English teaching and learning in large English classes in Higher Vocational College. It can improve English Teaching of Higher Vocational College and the students in the EG would surpass those in the CG in the performance of English learning.

The Design of Interactive Teaching Model for College English Course in Web-based Span
