Life Experience Method of Application Writing under the Internet+ Field

Network virtual social life and social life of the intimate contact, gaining experience through the network are growing acceptance of a new kind of practice writing behavior. In this paper, closely related to the new direction of life experience of the Internet age forms, and characteristics of practical writing life experience development under the network environment and study of teaching strategy analysis, think the Internet+ provided by the social forms life mirror, fits the practical writing “material needs” obtaining through the network to the indirect way to gain life experience of social forms, and has become a new kind of practical writing teaching methods. Network life experience is not only a practical writing, and also will use literature writing, news writing, such as writing behavior.

Qualitative exploration of home life experiences and care needs among elderly patients with temporary intestinal stomas

BACKGROUND This study employed a phenomenological research approach within qualitative research to explore the challenges encountered by elderly individuals with temporary colostomies in managing their daily lives and care needs.Protecting the anus surgery combined with temporary colostomy has emerged as a prevalent treatment modality for low rectal cancer.However,the ileostomy is susceptible to peri-stoma skin complications,as well as fluid,electrolyte,and nutritional imbalances,posing challenges to effective management.The successful selfmanagement of patients is intricately linked to their adjustment to temporary colostomy;nonetheless,there remains a dearth of research examining the factors influencing self-care among temporary colostomy patients and the obstacles they confront.AIM To investigate the lived experiences,perceptions,and care requirements of temporary colostomy patients within their home environment,with the ultimate goal of formulating a standardized management protocol.METHODS Over the period of June to August 2023,a purposive sampling technique was utilized to select 12 patients with temporary intestinal stomas from a tertiary hospital in Shanghai,China.Employing a phenomenological research approach,a semi-structured interview guide was developed,and qualitative interviews were conducted using in-depth interview techniques.The acquired data underwent coding,analysis,organization,and summarization following Colaizzi’s seven-step method.RESULTS The findings of this study revealed that the experiences and needs of patients with temporary intestinal stomas can be delineated into four principal themes:Firstly,Temporary colostomy patients bear various burdens and concerns about the uncertainty of disease progression;secondly,patients exhibit limited self-care capabilities and face information deficits,resulting in heightened reliance on healthcare professionals;thirdly,patients demonstrate the potential for internal motivation through proactive self-adjustment;and finally,patients express a significant need for emotional and social support.CONCLUSION Home-living patients with temporary intestinal stomas confront multifaceted challenges encompassing burdens,inadequate self-care abilities,informational deficits,and emotional needs.Identifying factors influencing patients’self-care at home and proposing strategies to mitigate barriers can serve as a foundational framework for developing and implementing nursing interventions tailored to the needs of patients with temporary intestinal stomas.

Rags to Riches:Positive Psychological Attributes and Spiritual Factors Creating Meaning

In mainstream media,the common perception is that“rags to riches”stories only consist of becoming“rich and famous”.This paper aims to reflect on the phenomenological experiences of 19 South Africans who significantly were able to move beyond their own significant low point experiences(imaginary:“rags”)into high point experiences(imaginary:“riches”).The presence of a meaningful experience indicates a turning point divide between low and high.Having the right positive psychological attributes supports the change required to move beyond your circumstances.The study explored the deeper internal psychological attributes within a person along with spiritual factors that could affect change in a person’s life to have an improved and fulfilling life.An existential-phenomenological-humanistic approach,from a positive psychological theoretical viewpoint,was used.The attributes were identified as themes through thematic analysis.The study found that meaning was the most prevalent feature in all respondents’lives to indicate a turn away from,sometimes intense,negative experiences.The presence of a positive mind-set(including positive attitude,self-thought,and self-talk)played a dominant role in affecting change,while the presence of faith and religious belief indicated the spiritual factors associated with change.

Prey life stages modulate effects of predation stress on prey lifespan,development,and reproduction in mites

The non-consumptive effects of predator-induced stress can influence a variety of life-history traits.Many previous studies focused only on short-term effects such as development and reproductive rates.Recent studies have showed that long-term predation stress(given during the whole life of the prey)and short-term predation stress(provided during the immature stage of the prey)could generate completely opposite results:the former could decrease lifespan,whereas the later could increase lifespan.However,it is still unclear whether the advantage is because of the short duration of exposure or the early stage of life during which exposure was exerted.Thus,in this study,the prey(Tyrophagus putrescentiae)was exposed to predation stress from the predator(Neoseiulus cucumeris)during different life stages(larva,protonymph,tritonymph,first 5 d of oviposition,the full lifespan or none of the above).The results showed that the predation stress supplied during larval and protonymphal stage delayed development,reduced fecundity and prolonged lifespan of the prey,while the stress given during tritonymphal stage only reduced lifespan slightly and the stress given during the first 5 d of oviposition did not change lifespan but reduced fecundity.This study indicated that the effects of predation stress are dependent on prey life stage and the predation stress experienced in the early life stages is important to lifespan modulation.

Estimation of Reliability for Stress-Strength Cascade Model

The study endeavors to provide statistical inference for a (1 + 1) cascade system for exponential distribution under joint effect of stress-strength attenuation factors. Estimators of reliability function are obtained using Maximum Likelihood Estimator (MLE) and Uniformly Minimum Variance Unbiased Estimator (UMVUE) of the parameters. Asymptotic distribution of the parameters is also obtained. Comparison between estimators is made using data obtained through simulation experiment.

Professional Learning between Past Experience and Future Work

This paper deals with the professionalization of human service work. It analyses learning processes and identity development in the emerging profession of child care with concrete examples from empirical research, based on a life history approach. It discusses examples of careers mainly based on students’ life experience, pointing out that their immediate success in the workplace may inhibit an even better qualification they had been spurred to critical reflection. It further follows a sample of students through their theoretical education and trainee periods, illuminating their changing identification with and understanding of their future work, and their learning of professional knowledge and competences. The conclusion is that the new 3.5 year education in child care pedagogy clearly improves the professional competences of child care, but it also identifies a set of further specific challenges to be met for the development of real professional competences.

A Critical Review of Chinese Theoretical Research on Moral Education Since 2000

Purpose:The purpose of this article is to summarize and reflect Chinese theoretical research on moral education in the context of globalization and value pluralism since 2000 and to propose possible directions for the future research.Design/Approach/Methods:The research methods in this article are primarily literature review.Those papers which met the following criteria were selected and included in this review:(1)Papers published from 2000 to 2014 were included if they were cited by at least one other published article and(2)papers published from 2015 to 2017 were included if they were presented in a core research journal.Based on that,speculative thinking and critical thinking are also embodied in this research.Findings:Based on the features of“a man of virtue,”the article identifies the four dimensions that have influenced Chinese thinking about moral education:(1)Kantian and Enlightenment philosophy,(2)emotion and life experience,(3)social rights,and(4)the culture-value dimension.The four dimensions ofmoral education theory are related and complement,rather than contradict,eachother.The author argues that the research scopes underlying current moral education theories are fairly narrow.Amore comprehensive,interdisciplinary approach is needed to improve theoretical research and to enhance the effectiveness of moral education practice in schools and universities.Originality/Value:The article provides a latest overview and critical insights to consolidate the foundation of moral education in an era of societal transformation by comparing moral education research between China and the West and proposing realizing a deep integration between theory and practice.
