However, the influence and mechanism of various parameters on the air-lift performance are not quite clear, especially the influence of flow pattern on lifting efficiency. Focusing on the problems mentioned above, the key part of the air-lift (namely, the air injector) was proposed aimed to reduce friction loss in the inner pipe according to improving flow field performance, thus increase the lifting efficiency. The study of relative factors of the performance of an air-lift is performed and the river sand is used as simulation of underground ore bed. The total lifting height of the experimental system is 3 m, the water flux, mass flow of solid particles, concentration of particles and lifting efficiency are measured under the same submergence ratios by changing the air injector, which is divided into nine specifications of air injection in this research. The experimental results indicate that the optimal air flow rate corresponding to excellent performance of the air-lift can be obtained in the range of 35-40 m3/h. The air injection method has a great effect on the performance of the air-lift, the air injector with three nozzles is better than that in the case of one or two nozzles. Further more, the air injection angle and arrangement of air injection pipes also have great effect on the performance of an air-lift. The proposed research results have guiding significance for engineering application.展开更多
There are actually no sufficient data for lifting technique assessment.A laboratory study was undertaken to determine the effect of 3 regular lifting techniques on erector muscle activation,cardiovascular strain and s...There are actually no sufficient data for lifting technique assessment.A laboratory study was undertaken to determine the effect of 3 regular lifting techniques on erector muscle activation,cardiovascular strain and subjective response.Thirty student volunteers participated in the study,and were required to lift a weight with different techniques.Stoop-,squat-,semi-squat-lifting resulted in 3,2 and 1 time of the highest percentage of the maximum voluntary electrical activation(MVE%) respectively.In the same order,the lowest median frequency(MF) existed 1,1 and 2 times.Muscle fatigue was 4 times in squat,36 in semi-squat and 43 in stoop lifting.Heart rate was the highest in squat and lowest in stoop respectively,with a middle level in semi-squat lifting.It may be recommended to adopt mainly the semi-squat technique for daily lifting works.For heavy lifting,it should use the squat technique.Stoop lifting may also be used alternatively but for light things.展开更多
The objective of the paper is to compute the optimal burn-out conditions and control requirements that would result in maximum down-range/cross-range performance of a waverider type hypersonic boost-glide(HBG) vehicle...The objective of the paper is to compute the optimal burn-out conditions and control requirements that would result in maximum down-range/cross-range performance of a waverider type hypersonic boost-glide(HBG) vehicle within the medium and intermediate ranges,and compare its performance with the performances of wing-body and lifting-body vehicles vis-a-vis the g-load and the integrated heat load experienced by vehicles for the medium-sized launch vehicle under study.Trajectory optimization studies were carried out by considering the heat rate and dynamic pressure constraints.The trajectory optimization problem is modeled as a nonlinear,multiphase,constraint optimal control problem and is solved using a hp-adaptive pseudospectral method.Detail modeling aspects of mass,aerodynamics and aerothermodynamics for the launch and glide vehicles have been discussed.It was found that the optimal burn-out angles for waverider and wing-body configurations are approximately 5° and 14.8°,respectively,for maximum down-range performance under the constraint heat rate environment.The down-range and cross-range performance of HBG waverider configuration is nearly 1.3 and 2 times that of wing-body configuration respectively.The integrated heat load experienced by the HBG waverider was found to be approximately an order of magnitude higher than that of a lifting-body configuration and 5 times that of a wing-body configuration.The footprints and corresponding heat loads and control requirements for the three types of glide vehicles are discussed for the medium range launch vehicle under consideration.展开更多
