As the basic work of image stitching and object recognition,image registration played an important part in the image processing field.Much previous work in registration accuracy and realtime performance progressed ver...As the basic work of image stitching and object recognition,image registration played an important part in the image processing field.Much previous work in registration accuracy and realtime performance progressed very slowly,especially in registrating images with line feature.An innovative method for image registration based on lines is proposed,it can effectively improve the accuracy and real-time performance of image registration.The line feature can deal with some registration problems where point feature does not work.Our registration process is divided into two parts.The first part determines the rough registration transformation relation between reference image and test image.Then the similarity degree among different transformation and modified nonmaximum suppression(MNMS)algorithms are obtained,which produce local optimal solution to optimize the rough registration transformation.The final optimal registration relation can be obtained from two registration parts according to the match scores.The experimental results show that the proposed method makes a more accurate registration relation and performs better in real-time situation.展开更多

We developed an optimal linear discriminant function (optimal LDF) based on the minimum number of misclassification (minimum NM) using integer programming (IP). We call this LDF as Revised IP-OLDF. Only this LDF can discriminate the cases on the discriminant hyperplane (Probleml). This LDF and a hard-margin SVM (H-SVM) can discriminate the lineary separable data (LSD) exactly. Another LDFs may not discriminate the LSD theoretically (Problem2). When Revised IP-OLDF discriminate the Swiss banknote data with six variables, we find MNM of two-variables model such as (X4, X6) is zero. Because MNMk decreases monotounusly (MNMk 〉= MNM(k+1)), sixteen MNMs including (X4, X6) are zero. Until now, because there is no research of the LSD, we surveyed another three linear separable data sets such as: 18 exam scores data sets, the Japanese 44 cars data and six microarray datasets. When we discriminate the exam scores with MNM=0, we find the generalized inverse matrix technique causes the serious Problem3 and confirmed this fact by the cars data. At last, we claim the discriminant analysis is not the inferential statistics because there is no standard errors (SEs) of error rates and discriminant coefficients (Problem4). Therefore, we poroposed the "100-fold cross validation for the small sample" method (the method). By this break-through, we can choose the best model having minimum mean of error rate (M2) in the validation sample and obtaine two 95% confidence intervals (CIs) of error rate and discriminant coefficients. When we discriminate the exam scores by this new method, we obtaine the surprising results seven LDFs except for Fisher's LDF are almost the same as the trivial LDFs. In this research, we discriminate the Japanese 44 cars data because we can discuss four problems. There are six independent variables to discriminate 29 regular cars and 15 small cars. This data is linear separable by the emission rate (X1) and the number of seats (X3). We examine the validity of the new model selection procedure of the discriminant analysis. We proposed the model with minimum mean of error rates (M2) in the validation samples is the best model. We had examined this procedure by the exam scores, and we obtain good results. Moreover, the 95% CI of eight LDFs offers us real perception of the discriminant theory. However, the exam scores are different from the ordinal data. Therefore, we apply our theory and procedure to the Japanese 44 cars data and confirmed the same conclution.展开更多
In natural and artificial systems,reversible reactions are commonly asymmetric with respect to the time scale and nature of the stimuli which drive the forward and backward processes.In applications for which switchin...In natural and artificial systems,reversible reactions are commonly asymmetric with respect to the time scale and nature of the stimuli which drive the forward and backward processes.In applications for which switching behavior is required,it is desirable that the reversible reaction goes as close to symmetric as possible;however,such systems are uncommon.Herein,we report an example of ultraviolet(UV)-visible light-regulated asymmetric reversible structural switching involving a diene-based coordination polymer,CP1 and its monocyclobutane product,CP1a.It is possible to cycle at least ten times through a forward [2+2] photocycloaddition reaction and the reverse,photocleavage reaction.A single cycle can be completed within a few minutes.The transformation is accompanied by fast and distinct fluorescence changes,arising from optimisation of the reaction conditions.Density functional theory calculations allow rationalisation of the asymmetric reversible transformation between CP1 and CP1a rather than between CP1 and its dicyclobutane product CP1b.This work provides a clear illustration of reversible structural switching which approaches symmetric behaviour with respect to reaction rate and stimuli.The insights gained from this work also assist in the design of fast,reversible switching materials.展开更多
Programmable metasurfaces enable real-time control of electromagnetic waves in a digital coding manner,which are suitable for implementing time-domain metasurfaces with strong harmonic manipulation capabilities.Howeve...Programmable metasurfaces enable real-time control of electromagnetic waves in a digital coding manner,which are suitable for implementing time-domain metasurfaces with strong harmonic manipulation capabilities.However,the time-domain metasurfaces are usually realized by adopting the wired electrical control method,which is effective and robust,but there are still some limitations.Here,we propose a light-controllable time-domain digital coding metasurface consisting of a full-polarization dynamic metasurface and a high-speed photoelectric detection circuit,from which the microwave reflection spectra are manipulated by time-varying light signals with periodic phase modulations.As demonstrated,the light-controllable timedomain digital coding metasurface is illuminated by the light signals with two designed time-coding sequences.The measured results show that the metasurface can well generate symmetrical harmonics and white-noise-like spectra,respectively,under such cases in the reflected wave.The proposed lightcontrollable time-varying metasurface offers a planar interface to tailor and link microwaves with lights in the time domain,which could promote the development of photoelectric hybrid metasurfaces and related multiphysics applications.展开更多
