Different coalescence sources of light nucleus production in Au-Au collisions at √sNN=3 GeV

We study the production of light nuclei in the coalescence mechanism of Au-Au collisions at midrapidity at √sNN=3GeV.We derive analytic formulas of the momentum distributions of two bodies,three bodies,and four nucleons coalescing into light nuclei and naturally explain the transverse momentum spectra of the deuteron(d),triton(t),helium-3(3He),and helium-4(4He).We reproduce data on the yield rapidity densities,yield ratios,and averaged transverse momenta of d,t,3He,and 4He and provide the proportions of contributions from different coalescence sources for t,3He,and 4He in their production.We find that besides nucleon coalescence,nucleon+nucleus coalescence and nucleus+nucleus coalescence may play requisite roles in light nucleus production in Au-Au collisions at √sNN=3 GeV. 展开更多

A simple, facile in situ reduction approach is reported for the synthesis of Pd- nanoparticle-decorated phosphotungstic acid (PTA)-MIL-100(Fe) nanocomposites (Pd-H3PW12040-MIL-100(Fe), denoted Pd-PTA-MIL-100(Fe)). During the in situ synthesis, PTA is encapsulated into the matrix of MIL-100(Fe) and serves as a UV-switchable reducing agent, resulting in highly dispersed Pd NPs. Using the photocatalytic degradation of pharmaceuticals and personal care products as model reactions, the ternary Pd-PTA-MIL-100(Fe) hybrids exhibited enhanced photocatalytic activity compared with their foundation matrices, the binary PTA-MIL-100(Fe) nanocomposite. Based on photoelectrochemical analyses, the improved photocatalytic performance can be attributed to the well-known electronic conductivity of the Pd NPs, the fast electron transport of PTA, the intense visible-light absorption of MIL-100(Fe), and the matched energy levels of the three components: MIL-100(Fe), PTA, and Pd NPs. Importantly, almost no Fe and W ions were leached from the samples during the reaction, demonstrating the photostability of the Pd-PTA-MIL-100(Fe) composite. Double differential cross sections of light charged particle production for the n+^238U reaction

Production of light complex particles from the n+^238u reaction is analyzed with the exciton model including the improved Iwamoto-Harada pickup mechanism for the preequilibrium process. It is allowed that some of the nucleons forming the complex ejectile come from levels below the Fermi energy, and the intrinsic structure of the emitted particle is taken into account. The equilibrium-state emissions are also considered by using Hauser- Feshbach theory with the width fluctuation correction and the evaporation model angular distributions, energy spectra and double differential cross sections of neutron, alpha emissions for the n+^238U reaction are consistently calculated and analyzed with the energy range En ≤150 MeV. ENDF-formatted nuclear data including information charged particles are obtained. Moreover, all cross sections, proton, deuteron, triton and nuclear theoretical models in about the production of light 展开更多

It is of broad interest to develop emerging photocatalysts with excellent light-harvesting capacity and high charge carrier separation efficiency for visible light photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction.However,achieving satisfying hydrogen evolution efficiency under noble metal-free conditions remains challenging.In this study,we demonstrate the fabrication of three-dimensionally ordered macroporous SrTiO_(3)decorated with Zn_(x)Cd_(1−x)S nanoparticles for hydrogen production under visible light irradiation(λ>420 nm).Synergetic enhancement of photocatalytic activity is achieved by the slow photon effect and improved separation efficiency of photogenerated charge carriers.The obtained composites could afford very high hydrogen production efficiencies up to 19.67 mmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1),with an apparent quantum efficiency of 35.9%at 420 nm,which is 4.2 and 23.9 times higher than those of pure Zn_(0.5)Cd_(0.5)S(4.67 mmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1))and CdS(0.82 mmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1)),respectively.In particular,under Pt-free conditions,an attractive hydrogen production rate(3.23 mmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1))was achieved,providing a low-cost and high-efficiency strategy to produce hydrogen from water splitting.Moreover,the composites showed excellent stability,and no obvious loss in activity was observed after five cycling tests. 展开更多
