The construction and installation of street lighting is an important element in the modernization of China’s cities.Besides,it also plays an important role in raising the living standards of the people.In recent years,with the technological and economic development,smart street lighting has gradually emerged.Key functions of smart street lighting include road illumination,cultural promotion,meteorological monitoring,public broadcasting,and 5G micro-base stations.The overall quality of smart street lighting construction directly impacts the effectiveness of urban development and the city’s comprehensive growth.This paper analyzes the concept of smart street lighting,its advantages and disadvantages,the functionalities of smart street light systems,and the application of smart street lighting in urban road illumination.

Preparation of Different Lights Irradiated ZnSe/GSH QDs and Their Interaction with BSA

Using L-glutathione(GSH) as a capping agent,Zn Se/GSH quantum dots(QDs) were prepared under microwave irradiation and irradiated under dark, ultraviolet light and incandescent light, respectively. The properties and interaction of different lights irradiated ZnSe/GSH QDs and bovine serum albumin(BSA) were studied systematically. The fluorescence(FL) spectra results reveal that the quenching mechanism are all the static quenching in nature. The quenching constant(Ksv) and binding constant(K) value of different irradiated Zn Se/GSH QDs and BSA all increased with the change of light types from dark to incandescent light and UV light. The number of binding site(n) is close to 1 at different temperatures. The lighting types influence the enthalpy and entropy changes. The Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectra indicate that the light induced GSH ligand will facilitate photocatalytic oxidation on the surface of ZnSe/GSH QDs. The circular dichroism(CD)results show that the α-helicity content of BSA decreases from 60.34%, 59.31%, to 58.79% under UV lighting,incandescent lighting and dark conditions. The interaction results of different lights illuminated ZnSe/GSH QDs with BSA by CD spectra method matches well with that by FL and FTIR spectra. That is, the interaction of ZnSe/GSH QDs and BSA from strong to weak is UV light, incandescent light and dark in sequence.

The Application of Lights-Conversed Polyethylene Film for Agriculture

Lanthanum-rhodamine (6G and B) complexes were synthesized by Rheological Phase Reaction Method. Lanthanum-rhodamine (6G and B) complexes doped polyethylene films which have a function of lights-conversion were prepared. The emission and excitation spectra were measured. The experiments of growing seedling and culture were carried out in the shed built with doped and undoped polyethylene films. Lanthanum-rhodamine doped polyethylene films which have a function of lights-conversion can efficiently convert the green light in the sunlight to the red light for photosynthesis of crops, to promote the maturing of crops and raise the yield of crops.

Advanced Leader Election for Virtual Traffic Lights

We examine the network performance of algorithms for self-organized traffic management. In particular, we focus on wireless network- ing between cars. One of many technologies that make road traffic safer and more efficient is the Virtual Traffic Light （VTL） system, which is able to coordinate the traffic flow at intersections without the need for physical lights. VTL takes a leading vehicle at an inter- section and uses it to control the traffic lights. We developed algorithms for leader election and traffic light computation in realistic ve- hicular networking scenarios. Our key contribution is the extension of this algorithm to support arbitrary intersection layouts. We in- vestigated the proposal in synthetic and realistic scenarios. The results show that, overall, VTLs use network resources efficiently and positively influences driving experience. It performs better than stationary traffic lights for a low to medium network load. We also identify potential optimizations to deal with high network load and to improve fairness.

An Improved Virtual Spherical Lights Approach for Glossy Illumination

Based on a virtual spherical light source method, this paper presents an improved virtual spherical lights approach for glossy illumination by modifying a reflection render equation. First, in order to keep primitive spherical lights, it uses non-zero solid angle integration instead of a geometric item of traditional Instant Radiosity arithmetic. Second, the formula mode for the light energy allocation of VSLs is improved by the energy distribution, in which the radius of sphere is replaced by the radius of inscribed circle generated by the tangent to the non-zero solid angle of cone. Third, the similar function of judging two point visibility takes place of a cosine term in the approximate equations of the VSLs. Experiments show that blurring or disappearing phenomenon that appear in part of right-angle surface scene is avoided.

An armamentarium of the latest light and laser technologies are used by physicians of different disciplines to address a variety of aesthetic challenges in the periocular region and throughout the body. If improperly used, these modalities can inflict serious ocular injury on the patient, support personnel, and operator. It is paramount that providers involved in operating these technologies be knowledgeable about the physical and clinically relevant properties of the unit being used. This involves training in the proper utilization, appropriate treatment parameters, and safety measure for each. Selection of the appropriate eye protection is particularly important for both the patient and the personnel. It is also imperative for the laser operator to understand the range of potential ocular complications associated with the cosmetic use of lasers and lights, to recognize the signs and symptoms associated with ocular damage, and to provide efficient first aid measures should damage ensue. Possible ocular complications related to the cosmetic use of lasers and lights range from mild eyelid swelling and erythema to potentially blinding macular injury. Ocular injury may also be inflicted by the improper selection or placement of eye protection.A complete ophthalmologic evaluation and timely management of potential complications is mandated when there is any concern for ocular injury.
