LP is the most commonly used operations research metho...Planning and production optimization within multiple mines or several work sites (entities) mining systems by using fuzzy linear programming (LP) was studied. LP is the most commonly used operations research methods in mining engineering. After the introductory review of properties and limitations of applying LP, short reviews of the general settings of deterministic and fuzzy LP models are presented. With the purpose of comparative analysis, the application of both LP models is presented using the example of the Bauxite Basin Niksic with five mines. After the assessment, LP is an efficient mathematical modeling tool in production planning and solving many other single-criteria optimization problems of mining engineering. After the comparison of advantages and deficiencies of both deterministic and fuzzy LP models, the conclusion presents benefits of the fuzzy LP model but is also stating that seeking the optimal plan of production means to accomplish the overall analysis that will encompass the LP model approaches.展开更多

Despite that SR systems are working reasonably well in quiet conditions, they still suffer severe performance...In recent years, the accuracy of speech recognition (SR) has been one of the most active areas of research. Despite that SR systems are working reasonably well in quiet conditions, they still suffer severe performance degradation in noisy conditions or distorted channels. It is necessary to search for more robust feature extraction methods to gain better performance in adverse conditions. This paper investigates the performance of conventional and new hybrid speech feature extraction algorithms of Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficient (MFCC), Linear Prediction Coding Coefficient (LPCC), perceptual linear production (PLP), and RASTA-PLP in noisy conditions through using multivariate Hidden Markov Model (HMM) classifier. The behavior of the proposal system is evaluated using TIDIGIT human voice dataset corpora, recorded from 208 different adult speakers in both training and testing process. The theoretical basis for speech processing and classifier procedures were presented, and the recognition results were obtained based on word recognition rate.展开更多
This paper focuses on synthesizing a mixed robust H_2/H_∞ linear parameter varying(LPV) controller for the longitudinal motion of an air-breathing hypersonic vehicle via a high order singular value decomposition(H...This paper focuses on synthesizing a mixed robust H_2/H_∞ linear parameter varying(LPV) controller for the longitudinal motion of an air-breathing hypersonic vehicle via a high order singular value decomposition(HOSVD) approach.The design of hypersonic flight control systems is highly challenging due to the enormous complexity of the vehicle dynamics and the presence of significant uncertainties.Motivated by recent results on both LPV control and tensor-product(TP) model transformation approach,the velocity and altitude tracking control problems for the air-breathing hypersonic vehicle is reduced to that of a state feedback stabilizing controller design for a polytopic LPV system with guaranteed performances.The controller implementation is converted into a convex optimization problem with parameterdependent linear matrix inequalities(LMIs) constraints,which is intuitively tractable using LMI control toolbox.Finally,numerical simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.展开更多
Site-specific incorporation of unnatural amino acids(UNAAs)into proteins using an orthogonal translation system(OTS)has expanded the scope of protein-coding chemistry.The key factor affecting UNAA embedding efficiency...Site-specific incorporation of unnatural amino acids(UNAAs)into proteins using an orthogonal translation system(OTS)has expanded the scope of protein-coding chemistry.The key factor affecting UNAA embedding efficiency is the orthogonality of the OTS.Compared to traditional cell systems,cell-free systems are more convenient to control the reaction process and improve the utilization rate of UNAA.In this study,a linear DNA template-based cell-free unnatural protein synthesis system for rapid high-throughput screening and evolution was proposed.A total of 14 cell extracts were selected for screening out cell extract with high expression level.The result showed that EcAR7ΔAΔSer cell extract was optimal for the cell-free system.In addition,the screening results of four UNAAs,p-propargyloxy-l-phenylalanine(pPaF),p-azyl-phenylalanine(pAzF),p-acetyl-l-phenylalanine(pAcF),and p-benzoyl-l-phenylalanine(pBpF),showed that o-aaRS and o-tRNA of pPaF had good orthogonality.A new pair of corresponding o-aaRS and o-tRNA for pBpF was screened out.These results proved that this method could speed up the screening of optimal OTS components for UNAAs with versatile functions.展开更多
