A Multimodal Critical Discourse Analysis of Lingnan Cultural Promotional Videos on Social Media

In recent years,more and more directors of culture and tourism have taken part in the promotion of local cultural tourism by cross-dressing,talent shows,and pushing their limits on self-media platforms.This study investigates short videos of Lingnan culture promoted by directors general and deputy directors general of the Culture,Radio,Television,Tourism,and Sports Bureau of counties and cities in Guangdong Province on social media by the method of multimodal critical discourse analysis.The analysis of 33 videos shows that Lingnan culture is a domineering and confident culture,historical culture,graceful and elegant culture,and vibrant and active culture.Domineering and confident culture is embedded in the utterances and behaviors of the directors general or deputy directors general in the video.Historical culture is realized through the conversation with historical figures through time travel.Graceful and elegant culture is constructed in the depiction of sceneries and the depiction of characters’manners.Vibrant and active culture is represented in the depiction of the characters’actional process and analytical process.

Research on the Integration of Lingnan Culture into“Four Histories”Education for Hong Kong Youth

This study focuses on Hong Kong youth,recognizing them as a vital subject within the context of“four histories”education.From the perspective of the integration of Lingnan culture,it explores the rich resources of Lingnan culture,innovates the narrative system,and explores the path of positive guidance in history education.Responding to the demands of the times,it seeks to alleviate the pressing concerns of Hong Kong society,help Hong Kong youth break down prejudices,gain a comprehensive understanding of China,grasp the development context of modern China,recognize historical trends,undertake national responsibilities,and take on the mission of the times.

Analysis on Competitiveness of Lingnan Distinctive Architectural Tourist Cultural Sites in Guangdong Province Based on GIS

By using multi-objective analysis method, five architectural tourist sites with Lingnan characteristics were selected. Through the analysis on relevant data obtained by GIS, spatial analysis research had been conducted on competitiveness of Lingnan distinctive architectural tourist cultural sites in Guangdong Province and some conclusions had been obtained.

Documenting the University's history in a digital era: Organizing and presenting archival resources at Lingnan University

Purpose: This paper chronicles Lingnan University(Hong Kong) Library’s experience in adopting the open source archival information system, Archon, and an institutional repository(IR) platform, Digital Commons, to create a holistic system for describing, managing and preserving the University’s historical documents.Design/Methodology/Approach: By combining the strength of Archon with Digital Commons, the Library can apply proper archival encoding practice with digital publishing capability to assemble the disparate and fragmentary Lingnan historical records into a more cohesive and well-organized historical collection facilitating wider access.Findings: Both the encoding process and digital publishing efforts have broadened access to several unique and valuable Lingnan records, providing greater search capabilities and accessibility. These initial sets of processed resources have successfully attracted attention from researchers and alumni who have strong interest in consulting the records. Together Archon and Digital Commons provide an ideal platform enabling the Library to reach out to more people who may also be interested in the records and have resulted in more donations to the Archives, further enriching the collection.Research limitations: Our initial efforts have created a solid foundation that we can use to develop a comprehensive archival collection showcasing the history of Lingnan University.However, the Library will need to develop a long-term strategy to formalize University archive policy for the ongoing systematic collection of university records and the effective management of born-digital data.Practical implications: Archival or historical records no longer need to be hidden or inaccessible due to lack of appropriate finding aids and search and retrieval systems. Archon provides an organizational and descriptive framework for the Library to process archival materials and create digital finding aids instantly in compliance with international archival standards, whereas IR software such as Digital Commons offers us a digital publishing platform to present the full-text content of these records online for worldwide access. We believe that as important as it is to collect and process a university’s records for historical preservation, it is equally important to make them easily available and accessible. By exploring the possibility of adopting new tools to manage old processes, we can add value while creating visibility for materials that were once hidden and inaccessible beyond our campus.Originality/value: As the first library in greater China to adopt Archon as well as use an IR platform, Digital Commons, to process archival materials and chronicle a university’s history, Lingnan University Library introduces a new approach that blends tools and resources of both archives and libraries to present a cohesive archival collection in a new digital era.

Effects of Dietary Isoflavone Supplementation on Meat Quality and Oxidative Stability During Storage in Lingnan Yellow Broilers

To investigate the effects of a synthetic isoflavone （SI） on meat quality and oxidative stability, 1 500 43-d-old Lingnan yellow male broilers were randomly assigned to five dietary treatments： diets supplemented with 0, 10, 20, 40, or 80 mg SI kg-1, fed ad libitum for a period of 3 wk. After refrigerated storage, a＊ value of the meat increased with dietary SI supplementation using 10 and 40 mg kg-1 level （P〈0.05）, L＊ value decreased （P〈0.05）, and 40 mg kg-j increased the pH （P〈0.05）. Supplementation with SI, at all levels, increased water holding capacity （P〈0.05） and decreased lactic acid content of meat （P〈0.05）. The concentration of malondialdehyde at 72 h decreased linearly （P=0.005） and quadratically （P=0.004） with increasing levels of SI. Dietary SI at 20 and 40 mg kg-1 levels enhanced total superoxide dismutase activity in meat （P〈0.05）. Meat pH quadratically decreased as the storage time increased （P〈0.05）, with the highest value at 24 h （P〈0.05）. Lactic acid and malondialdehyde concentrations of meat increased over time, with value at 96 h being far higher than at earlier times （P〈0.05）. Supplemental SI linearly and quadratically increased the mRNA abundance ofglutathione peroxidase （GPX） （P=0.001 and P=0.002） and catalase （CAT） （P=0.003 and P=0.006） in breast muscle. The results from this study indicate that dietary supplementation with SI can improve meat quality during refrigerated storage by decreasing lipid peroxidation and enhancing oxidative stability and, for male broilers from 43 to 63 d of age, the optimal level of SI was 40 mg kg-1.

Analysis of Gardening Characteristics and Style Formation of Lingnan Gardens

Lingnan gardens,as one of the three major schools of Chinese classical gardens,have distinct local characteristics and pursue the unity of practicality and artistry.They began to develop during the Qin and Han dynasties,gradually formed their own unique characteristics during the Song and Yuan dynasties,became mature and were extricated from the influence of southern gardens and northern gardens during the Ming and Qing dynasties.In this paper,from the macro and micro levels,as well as natural,social and humanistic perspectives,the style formation of Lingnan gardens was studied.

Water Conservancy and the Historical Evolvement of Lingnan Regional Culture

The history of the formation and development of Chinese civilization is also a civilization history of water conservancy. Water not only gives birth to Chinese civilization but also gives birth to the unique regional culture in Lingnan. In the past thousands of year, from the ancient myths and legends of Lingnan water conservancy culture to the digging of efficacious Canal＇s integration of the nationalities in Lingnan, to the blending of water and culture of the Xijiang River and the North River of the Zhujiang water system and the formation of urban river culture, development of its generation, deduction and inheritance has the mutual penetration with the formation of water system and the variation of water conservancy which mutually influence the historical evolvement of Lingnan regional culture.

岭南地区亚健康人群睡眠状况与中医体质类型的相关性研究

【目的】探究岭南地区亚健康人群睡眠状况与中医体质类型的相关性。【方法】选取2022年5月~2023年5月于深圳市宝安区中医院治未病中心就诊的688例在深圳市居住5年以上,无严重心血管疾病,经亚健康人群评定量表评定为亚健康的人群为研究对象,采用匹兹堡睡眠质量指数(PSQI)量表、中医体质评定量表对其进行问卷调查,并将其睡眠状况与中医体质类型进行多元线性回归分析。【结果】(1)调查问卷发放回收情况:共发放688份问卷,其中,失访19份,回收669份,剔除无效问卷29份,最终共纳入有效问卷640份。(2)不同睡眠状况人群的PSQI量表评分情况:根据PSQI量表得分情况将人群分为睡眠优组(PSQI总分<8分)350例和睡眠差组(PSQI总分≥8分)290例,组间比较,睡眠优组的入睡时间、睡眠时间、睡眠障碍得分以及总分均明显低于睡眠差组(P<0.05或P<0.01)。(3)不同睡眠状况人群的中医体质类别分布情况:睡眠优者多表现为平和质(86.86%),睡眠差者多表现为偏颇体质(79.64%)。睡眠差人群中,偏颇体质排前3位的分别是湿热质(15.52%)、痰湿质(13.79%)以及气郁质(13.10%)。(4)多元线性回归分析结果显示,入睡时间与痰湿质、气郁质呈正相关(P<0.01),与平和质呈负相关(P<0.05);睡眠效率与湿热质、特禀质呈正相关(P<0.05或P<0.01),与平和质呈负相关(P<0.05);睡眠障碍与气郁质、阴虚质呈正相关(P<0.01);催眠药物与阴虚质呈正相关(P<0.01);日间功能障碍与痰湿质呈正相关(P<0.05)。【结论】岭南地区亚健康人群睡眠状况与其中医体质类型具有一定相关性,湿热质、痰湿质、气郁质、阴虚质、平和质、特禀质是影响睡眠状况主要的6种中医体质类别;结合中医体质辨识指导亚健康人群通过改善其体质从而达到未病先防的目的是很有意义的。

传统岭南园林意境空间可理解度量化分析研究

当前,建筑创作既要反映新时代气象,又要提现优秀文化传统的传承,因而寻找传统文化在新时代建筑体系中的立足点显得尤为重要。作为地域文化的载体,“意境”同样存在于岭南传统园林的空间组构中。利用软件Depthmap比对四个岭南广府地区的传统园林,包括顺德清晖园、东莞可园、番禺余荫山房和佛山梁园等的空间组构的“空间可理解度”值的变化趋势,得出结论:当空间拓扑步数超过6步后,其空间可理解度值皆低于0.5,此时空间理解的模糊性是产生“意境”的空间组构特点。数据化的结论可为新时代岭南园林的营造提供明确的指引,若其他类型的空间组构具有相同特点时,其中的空间感受将与传统岭南园林相类似。量化性的空间关系分析和空间秩序内在逻辑的推理具有清晰的可见性和操作性,使在当代建构模式下营造传统文化意境的空间行为成为一种可把握的肯定性设计活动,为新时代的建筑空间延续传统岭南园林文化内涵提供了理论依据。

现代岭南针灸传承教学三要素

通过梳理现代岭南代表性针灸名家司徒铃、靳瑞、张家维、赖新生等多位教授的针灸传承教学经验,提取出现代岭南针灸传承教学的三大要素,并从教师古典针灸理论要求,学生针灸临床思维、操作培养,以及岭南针灸传承教学评判准则三个方面,介绍岭南传统针法传承教学的特色及要点,从而促进岭南中医药特色针灸人才培养经验的推广。

岭南武艺五郎八卦棍历史与技艺探说

五郎八卦棍体现了岭南社会群体在清末民初时对明王朝的思考,通过特定文学人物的名讳来塑造民族主义的语境,这既体现了其文化内涵,也表达了时代背景下的政治意义。五郎八卦棍的指导思想与《易经》密切相关,强调身体、意念和内功的统一,涵盖了身体、心理和哲学层面的技术体系,有其内涵和深度。此外,八卦棍包含的棍歌诀的内容与闽南一带的棍法有高度同源性,技术强调的“枪棍合一”证明它是南北武艺融合的产物,体现了岭南武术的多元性和包容性。

岭南中医妇科课程标准化教学改革

地域特色课程是中医药院校的新兴课程,是我国发展中医药事业和高等中医药教育教学改革的重要组成部分,课程质量是培育人才的基石。文章基于岭南中医妇科课程标准化建设研究,通过分析目前的中医人才的培育要求及中医院校课程标准化的现状,指出该课程教学改革的必要性,从教材编写、教学设计、教学比例、教师队伍、教学形式、教学方法及考评方式等方面提出思考及实践总结,强调思政立德树人,跟师守正创新。以期为同类课程设置及教学实践提供参考。

基于岭南传统建筑元素的文化创意产品设计研究

文章以设计的角度研究岭南传统建筑的创新转化,旨在为岭南传统建筑的“活态化”应用提供新的途径。岭南传统建筑是岭南文化的瑰宝,是地域性的文物,承载着该地区的历史记忆。文章论述了岭南传统建筑的三种形式,提出以原型式设计、情景式设计两种思路去创意开发岭南传统建筑文化创意产品,并以镬耳墙与茶具相结合进行设计实践。结果表明,现代设计能够赋能传统建筑文化,将静态的岭南建筑文化以可移动、可消费的实体产品融入日常的生活中,以期赋予传统建筑新的生命力和时代价值,达到文化传承传播与经济效益的双赢。

从“岭南罗氏妇科诊法”谈中医药的文化传承与学术传播

“岭南罗氏妇科诊法”为广东省、广州市的非物质文化遗产项目(简称非遗项目),具有文化属性与学术属性。“岭南罗氏妇科诊法”源于岭南罗氏妇科流派,带有岭南文化的基因与岭南医学的印记。中医药非遗项目与中医流派的文化传承与学术传播各有侧重。非遗项目由文化部门组织评定,其传播主要面向公众,以外展型传播为主;而流派是由中医药管理部门评定,其传播则以行业内为主,外展为辅。中医流派的文化传承与学术传播,既要在中医理论方面深入发掘,又要以理论指导临床,提高疗效;流派团队建设尤需注重学科文化传承,可通过工作站建设等形式,在行业内进行学术传播,让更多的从业者了解和掌握流派的学术经验,从而使民众获益。与中医流派相比,中医药非遗项目的文化属性更为突出,非遗传承人不仅要传承技艺,更需要在社会层面进行文化与技艺推广,让民众了解中医药非遗项目,自觉以中医药保健防病。中医药非遗项目与学术流派的传播均应坚定文化自信,充分利用信息化、网络化技术,多层次、多维度传播中医药文化。

岭南乡村居民中医药文化认知需求现状问题与对策——基于广州市从化区江埔街道科普调研的思考

党的十八大以来,习近平总书记高度重视中医药发展,党中央把中医药发展上升为国家战略。岭南乡村作为中医药文化根植的沃土,也是新时代背景下反映农村居民在中医药文化背景、认知、情感、行为方面现状与问题的缩影。为全面了解当前中医药文化认知需求现状,发掘其面临的突出问题与成因,提升中医药基层科普的活力与发展前景,该项目组通过现场问卷调查、知识竞赛、深度访谈,对岭南地区的中医药文化乡村传承发展现状进行了深入的调查。结果显示,乡村居民对中医药文化的认知度较低,而需求度较高。文章针对上述问题,提出因人、因地、因时制宜的对策与建议。

信仰、秩序与权益表达——岭南善会类型及其管理制度(1840—1949)

第一次鸦片战争之后,岭南民间举办善会蔚然成风。善会初始于以血缘为纽带的宗族,后逐渐拓展到以地域为基础的村落,再进一步发展为以业缘为纽带的工商业,这就形成了办会宗旨繁多的各类善会组织。民国时期的善会组织,受西方文化制度的影响,从名称到组织架构,越发呈现出现代公司制的特点。善会蕴含了祖先崇拜和鬼神信仰,是传统儒家文化的延续;其孕育的平等守约意识,推动了近代工商业的兴起与发展;善会通过规条的制定形成对会员权益的保护,而对个人权利的维护推动了民间个体权益的觉醒,有助于为构建现代国家奠定公民意识。

以宗统族——明代岭南地区宗子主祭的礼制实践

宗子主祭作为宗法制的重要原则,为宋明理学家所重视与强调。明代是岭南地区宗族发展的重要时期,部分士大夫尝试运用宗子主祭原则来推动宗族建设,实现以宗统族的理想。以嘉靖初年“大礼议”为界,此前的宗子主祭实践只有何真、湛若水寥寥两例。此后,霍韬、湛若水、黄佐、冼桂奇等相继倡导并践行宗子主祭原则,但在运作过程中很快出现了坚持宗子主祭原则所带来的困境,因此都陆续于万历以后不再坚持这一原则。明代岭南地区宗子主祭的礼制实践,主要依靠强势的族内高官显宦通过其政治与经济实力来推动,一旦相关推动者本人故去,这一原则就很快被后代所抛弃。在这一过程中,理学家所坚持的大宗小宗祭祀原则,逐渐被“始祖—房支”祭祀原则所取代。
