For capturing and recycling of CO2 in the internal combustion engine, Rankle cycle engine can reduce the exhaust pollutants effectively under the condition of ensuring the engine thermal efficiency by using the techniques of spraying water in the cylinder and optimizing the ignition advance angle. However, due to the water spray nozzle need to be installed on the cylinder, which increases the cylinder head design difficulty and makes the combustion conditions become more complicated. In this paper, a new method is presented to carry out the closing inlet and exhaust system for internal combustion engines. The proposed new method uses liquid oxygen to solidify part of cooled CO2 from exhaust system into dry ice and the liquid oxygen turns into gas oxygen which is sent to inlet system. The other part of CO2 is sent to inlet system and mixed with oxygen, which can reduce the oxygen-enriched combustion detonation tendency and make combustion stable. Computing grid of the IP52FMI single-cylinder four-stroke gasoline-engine is established according to the actual shape of the combustion chamber using KIVA-3V program. The effects of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) rate are analyzed on the temperatures, the pressures and the instantaneous heat release rates when the EGR rate is more than 8%. The possibility of enclosing intake and exhaust system for engine is verified. The carbon dioxide trapping device is designed and the IP52FMI engine is transformed and the CO2 capture experiment is carried out. The experimental results show that when the EGR rate is 36% for the optimum EGR rate. When the liquid oxygen of 35.80-437.40 g is imported into the device and last 1-20 min, respectively, 21.50-701.30 g dry ice is obtained. This research proposes a new design method which can capture CO2 for vehicular internal combustion engine. 展开更多

Hydrogen production from electrochemical water splitting is a promising strategy to generate green energy,which requires the development of efficient and stable electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction and the oxygen evolution reaction(HER and OER).Ionic liquids(ILs)or poly(ionic liquids)(PILs),containing heteroatoms,metal-based anions,and various structures,have been frequently involved as precursors to prepare electrocatalysts for water splitting.Moreover,ILs/PILs possess high conductivity,wide electrochemical windows,and high thermal and chemical stability,which can be directly applied in the electrocatalysis process with high durability.In this review,we focus on the studies of ILs/PILs-derived electrocatalysts for HER and OER,where ILs/PILs are applied as heteroatom dopants and metal precursors to prepare catalysts or are directly utilized as the electrocatalysts.Due to those attractive properties,IL/PIL-derived electrocatalysts exhibit excellent performance for electrochemical water splitting.All these accomplishments and developments are systematically summarized and thoughtfully discussed.Then,the overall perspectives for the current challenges and future developments of ILs/PILs-derived electrocatalysts are provided. 展开更多

Due to the paramagnetic property of liquid oxygen,the Kelvin force can be induced in liquid oxygen under non-uniform magnetic field.Based on the volume of fluid(VOF)model,the positioning effect of the force in liquid oxygen tanks is analyzed under various Bond numbers(Bo)and magnetic Bond numbers(Bom).The results show that the magnetic field has the effect of repositioning the liquid oxygen in the tank when the gravity field is not enough or absent.Additionally,the gas-liquid interface has a periodic fluctuation during the process due to the inhomogeneous Kelvin force distribution,and more effective suppression of fluctuation can be achieved under the condition of a larger Bom.The new method of controlling gas-liquid interface of liquid oxygen tank under micro gravity condition is hoped to be developed in the future. 展开更多

Modifying solid catalysts with an ionic liquid layer is an effective approach for boosting the performance of both Pt-based and non-precious metal catalysts toward the oxygen reduction reaction. While most studies operated at room temperature it remains unclear whether the IL-associated boosting effect can be maintained at elevated temperature, which is of high relevance for practical applications in low temperature fuel cells. Herein, Fe-N-C catalysts were modified by introducing small amounts of hydrophobic ionic liquid, resulting in boosted electrocatalytic activity towards the alkaline oxygen reduction reaction at room temperature. It is demonstrated that the boosting effect can be maintained and even strengthened when increasing the electrolyte temperature up to 70℃. These findings show for the first time that the incorporation of ionic liquid is a suited method to obtain advanced noble metal-free electrocatalysts that can be applied at operating temperature condition. 展开更多

Study on fluid-structure interaction in liquid oxygen feeding pipe systems using finite volume method

The fluid-structure interaction may occur in space launch vehicles,which would lead to bad performance of vehicles,damage equipments on vehicles,or even affect astronauts' health.In this paper,analysis on dynamic behavior of liquid oxygen (LOX) feeding pipe system in a large scale launch vehicle is performed,with the effect of fluid-structure interaction (FSI) taken into consideration.The pipe system is simplified as a planar FSI model with Poisson coupling and junction coupling.Numerical tests on pipes between the tank and the pump are solved by the finite volume method.Results show that restrictions weaken the interaction between axial and lateral vibrations.The reasonable results regarding frequencies and modes indicate that the FSI affects substantially the dynamic analysis,and thus highlight the usefulness of the proposed model.This study would provide a reference to the pipe test,as well as facilitate further studies on oscillation suppression. 展开更多

Dry-spun Carbon Nanotube(CNT)fibers were surface-modified by atmospheric pressure oxygen plasma functionalization using a well controlled and continuous process.The fibers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Raman spectroscopy,and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy(XPS).It was found from the conducted electrochemical measurements that the functionalized fibers showed a 132.8% increase in specific capacitance compared to non-functionalized fibers.Dye-adsorption test and the obtained Randles-Sevcik plot demonstrated that the oxygen plasma functionalized fibers exhibited increased surface area.It was further established by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)measurements that the surface area of the CNT fibers was increased from 168.22 m^2/g to 208.01 m^2/g after plasma functionalization.The pore size distribution of the fibers was also altered by this processing.The improved electrochemical data was attributed to enhanced wettability,increased surface area,and the presence of oxygen functional groups,which promoted the capacitance of the fibers.Fiber supercapacitors were fabricated from the oxygen plasma functionalized CNT fiber electrodes using different electrolyte systems.The devices with functionalized electrodes exhibited excellent cyclic stability(93.2% after 4000 cycles),flexibility,bendability,and good energy densities.At 0.5 m A/cm^2,the EMIMBF4 device revealed a specific capacitance,which is 27% and 65%greater than the specific capacitances of devices using EMIMTFSI and H2SO4 electrolytes,respectively.The practiced in this work plasma surface processing can be employed in other applications where fibers,yarns,ribbons,and sheets need to be chemically modified. 展开更多

Liquid chemical looping technology is an innovation of chemical looping conversion technology.Using liquid metal oxide as the oxygen carrier during gasification process could prolong the service life of oxygen carrier and improve the process efficiency.In this paper,based on Gibbs minimum free energy method,the thermodynamic characteristics of biomass liquid chemical looping gasification were studied.Cellulose and lignin,the main components of biomass,were taken as the research objects.Bismuth oxide and antimony oxide were selected as liquid oxygen carriers.The results showed that when the temperature increased from 600℃to 900℃,the output of H_(2)and CO in the products of cellulose gasification increased from 0.5 and 0.3 kmol to 1.3 and 2.6 kmol respectively.Different ratios of oxygen carriers to gasification raw materials had the best molar ratio.The addition of steam in the system was beneficial to the increase of H_(2)content and the increase of H_(2)/CO molar ratio.Bi_(2)O_(3)and Sb_(2)O_(3)with different mass ratios were used as mixed oxygen carriers.The simulation results showed that the gasification temperature of biomass with different mixed oxygen carriers had the same equilibrium trend products.It could be seen from the results of product distribution that the influence of the mixing ratio of Bi_(2)O_(3)and Sb_(2)O_(3)on gas product distribution could be neglected.These results could provide simulation reference and data basis for subsequent research on liquid chemical looping gasification. 展开更多

This paper reviews the status of the gas-to-liquids (GTL) industry-including current commercial plants, announced projects and the technologies that are likely to be implemented in these future projects. Today, only 35,000 B/D of GTL products (0.1% of market) are manufactured from commercial gas-based plants. Advances in technology have lowered the cost of plants to the point where GTL plants can be profitable at crude oil prices of $16/B. The advanced stage of development of several proposed GTL projects and attractive integrated economics, for both the gas field and plant, show that GTL can be a significant alternative for monetizing natural gas in the 21st century. GTL technologies includes more than Fischer-Tropsch technology and extends to other liquid fuels, especially in the oxygenate family (methanol, dimethyl ether, etc.). 展开更多

After collection, semen samples are generally processed for storage (liquid storage or cryoconservation) before being used for insemination or </span><i><i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">in vitro</span></i><span></span></i><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> embryo production. During the liquid storage process, sperm cells are exposed to artificial conditions which lead to oxidative stress—the imbalance between pro-oxidants and antioxidants (AO), following overproduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS)</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">—resulting in ultrastructural, biochemical and functional damages of spermatozoa. Especially, viability, motility, mitochondrial activity, membrane integrity, and</span><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">acrosome integrity are reduced while morphological abnormalities, DNA fragmentation, and lipid peroxidation (LPO) are increased, affecting the fertilizing ability and subsequent early embryonic development when using standard extenders. Indeed, an optimal semen extender must not only regulate and support an environment of adequate pH and buffering capacity to protect spermatozoa from osmotic and cooling stresses, but, also prevent the generation and/or scavenge excess ROS. To improve ram semen liquid storage, several methods have been developed with the supplementation of extenders with antioxidants or antioxidant like-compounds (enzymes, amino-acids, vitamins, plant extracts), seminal plasma, sugars, fatty acids, and nanoparticles being a relevant approach. Promising results have been registered with the supplementation of extenders with these compounds, confirming they can be used to preserve ram semen quality and fertility. Therefore, the present review provides an updated overview of the damages and associated mechanisms that ram spermatozoa undergo during liquid storage. Interfacial engineering of heterogeneous molecular electrocatalysts using ionic liquids towards efficient hydrogen peroxide production 被引量:1

Efficient and selective oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalysts are critical to realizing decentralized H_(2)O_(2)production and utilization.Here we demonstrate a facile interfacial engineering strategy using a hydrophobic ionic liquid(IL,i.e.,[BMIM][NTF2])to boost the performance of a nitrogen coordinated single atom cobalt catalyst(i.e.),cobalt phthalocyanine(CoPc)supported on carbon nanotubes(CNTs).We find a strong correlation between the ORR performance of CoPc/CNT and the thickness of its IL coatings.Detailed characterization revealed that a higher O_(2)solubility(2.12×10^(−3)mol/L)in the IL compared to aqueous electrolytes provides a local O2 enriched surface layer near active catalytic sites,enhancing the ORR thermodynamics.Further,the hydrophobic IL can efficiently repel the as‐synthesized H_(2)O_(2)molecules from the catalyst surface,preventing their fast decomposition to H_(2)O,resulting in improved H_(2)O_(2)selectivity.Compared to CoPc/CNT without IL coatings,the catalyst with an optimal~8 nm IL coating can deliver a nearly 4 times higher mass specific kinetic current density and 12.5%higher H2O2 selectivity up to 92%.In a two‐electrode electrolyzer test,the optimal catalyst exhibits an enhanced productivity of 3.71 molH2O2 gcat^(–1)h^(–1),and robust stability.This IL‐based interfacial engineering strategy may also be extended to many other electrochemical reactions by carefully tailoring the thickness and hydrophobicity of IL coatings. 展开更多

The equilibrium products began to contain the compound NbC with the increase of Nh concentration in the condition of trace carbon.The formation of NbC is discussed in this work.The standard free energy of formation of NbC in liquid iron at 1600℃ have been de- termined as ΔG_(NbC)=-87.111 kJ·mol^(-1). 展开更多

In this work,a one-pot strategy is presented to directly synthesize amorphous Fe_(x)Ni_(y) hydroxide nanoclusters(denoted as ANC-Fe_(x)Ni_(y),<2 nm)with oxygen vacancies induced by ionic liquids.The ANC-Fe_(x)Ni_(y) catalyst presents abundant catalytic sites and high intrinsic conductivity.As such,the optimized ANC-Fe_(1)Ni_(2) exhibits high activity in oxygen evolution reaction(OER)with a Tafel slope of 39 m V dec^(–1) and an overpotential of 266 m V at 10 m A cm^(-2).Notably,the optimized ANC-Fe_(1)Ni_(2) shows an extraordinarily large mass activity of 3028 Ag_(FeNi)^(–1) at the overpotential of 300 m V,which is~24-fold of commercial RuO_(2) catalyst.The superior activity of these Fe_(x)Ni_(y) hydroxide nanoclusters is ascribed to(i)the amorphous and distorted structure with abundant oxygen vacancies,and(ii)enhanced active site density by downsizing the ANC-FexNiyclusters.This strategy provides a novel route for enhancing OER electrocatalytic performance and highly encouraging for the future application of amorphous metal hydroxides in catalysis. 展开更多

Tin dioxide (SnO2) has attracted broad interest due to its particular gas-sensor property. Nano- or atom-scale SnO2 material has always been the aim in order to ultimately improve the sensitivity. However, until now, ... Tin dioxide (SnO2) has attracted broad interest due to its particular gas-sensor property. Nano- or atom-scale SnO2 material has always been the aim in order to ultimately improve the sensitivity. However, until now, it remains difficult to synthesize SnO2 nanoclusters by using traditional methods. In the present work, we have achieved the preparation of SnO2 nanoclusters by using the cluster beam deposition technique. The obtained nanoclusters were well characterized by high resolution transmission electron microscope HR-TEM. Results indicated the formation of the well-dispersed SnO2 nanoclusters with uniform size distribution (5-7 nm). Furthermore, an obvious metal insulator transition was observed by gating with ionic liquid. Combined with theory calculation, the corresponding mechanism was systematically analyzed from oxygen vacancy induced electron doping. 展开更多

Objective:To study the effect of reactive oxygen species of inducing apoptosis on the heptocacinoma tissues following ischemia and reperfusion and perfusion hyperoxia liquid of hepatocarcinoma. Methods: The hepatocarcinoma animal models ware established by implantation of VX2 tumor constitution mass into the left middle lobe of liver of rabbits. The animals were subjected to 60 min clamp-induced ischemia of hepatic artery distributing in the left middle lobe followed by reperfusion at 1 h, 1 d, 3 d and 7 d, respectively, and perfusion hyperoxia liquid (partial pressure of oxygen, PO2>80 kPa) at the same time with reperfusion beginning. The concentration of MDA and NO ware tested. Apoptotic changes in the hepatocarcinoma and normal hepatic tissues were observed by means of HE staining and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end-labeling (TUNEL). Results:The concentration of MDA in normal hepatic tissues and hepatocarcinoma tissue increased followed ischemia and reperfusion especially for reperfusion 1 h (4.61±0.40, 3.10±0.23) and restored to normal level at reperfusion 7 d in normal hepatic tissues but still kept high concentration in the hepatocarcinoma tissue. Even though concentration of MDA in normal hepatic tissues is higher than that of before ischemia and reperfusion, no difference have been found after perfusion of hyperoxia liquid, and in the hepatocarcinoma tissue, the increasing of concentration of MDA was obvious after simply ischemia and reperfusion at reperfusion 1 d (4.25±0.45). The concentration of NO in normal hepatic tissues increased for reperfusion 3 d and 7 d(18.17±0.13, 17.45±0.23),while that of hepatocarcinoma tissue decreased at reperfusion 3 d(15.95±043). After perfusion of hyperoxia liquid, the concentration of NO in normal hepatic tissues kept increasing and that decreased in the hepatocarcinoma tissues in all time point and reached the lowest level at reperfusion 1 d(14.62±0.45).The result demonstrated the changes of concentration of NO and MDA in the hepatocarcinoma tissues ware more obvious than that of normal hepatic tissues(P<0.01). Conclusion:Perfusion of hyperoxia liquid from hepatic portal vein can intensify ischemia and reperfusion injury but less so for normal hepatic tissues. 展开更多

[目的]AIP潜艇携带巨量液氧,在液氧消耗过程中冷量往往未被充分利用,而潜艇密闭空间二氧化碳清除方式存在缺点。针对长期困扰AIP潜艇的两大痛点,提出将AIP潜艇液氧冷量回收利用与潜艇二氧化碳清除两者有机结合的一体化的解决方案。[方法]将液氧作为冷源处理舱室空气,依据空气各组分相变点温度不同的特性,在常压下将空气中二氧化碳冻结(凝华)分离出来。[结果]通过数据量化分析,论证了在潜艇自持力范围内液氧储存的能量基本上能满足冻结艇员呼吸代谢产生的二氧化碳对冷量的需求,并提出了三级工作流程与实施方案。[结论]所提出的技术方案可回收利用占比5%的低温冷量,是一种符合综合集成、节能降噪和总体资源充分融合思想的解决方案,可用于以AIP系统作动力的潜艇、潜器和深海空间站等密闭空间的空气净化和二氧化碳清除。 展开更多
