Thirty patients were randomly divided into two groups : the group treatedwith routine therapy ( routine group) and the group treated with routine therapy plus CSI (CSI group) . The 4parameters mentioned abave have been measured in patients of the two groups and in 22 healthy subjects forcontrol. The results showed: ( 1 ) Before treatment, both the treatment groups had significantly higher LPOand SOD and markedly lower GSH-Px and CAT level than those of the healthy control ( P < 0 . 001 ) . (2) Aftertreatment the 4 parameters have been normalized in CSI group. (3 ) In the routine group, the parameterswere still abnormal, that is, the increased levels of GSH-Px and CAT and the decreased LPO were singifi-cantly greater in CSI group than that in routine group. These results indicated that CSI could obviously lowerthe enhanced lipid peroxidation and adjust the imbalance of antioxidant enzymes.展开更多

The test group had a 65% rate of general efficiency, while thecontrol group had only 25%. There is a significant difference (P<0. 01) between the two groups. There-fore the method of treatment for such patients is thought to be worthy of being further studied.展开更多
