Ultrasonic guided wave is an attractive monitoring technique for large-scale structures but is vulnerable to changes in environmental and operational conditions(EOC),which are inevitable in the normal inspection of civil and mechanical structures.This paper thus presents a robust guided wave-based method for damage detection and localization under complex environmental conditions by singular value decomposition-based feature extraction and one-dimensional convolutional neural network(1D-CNN).After singular value decomposition-based feature extraction processing,a temporal robust damage index(TRDI)is extracted,and the effect of EOCs is well removed.Hence,even for the signals with a very large temperature-varying range and low signal-to-noise ratios(SNRs),the final damage detection and localization accuracy retain perfect 100%.Verifications are conducted on two different experimental datasets.The first dataset consists of guided wave signals collected from a thin aluminum plate with artificial noises,and the second is a publicly available experimental dataset of guided wave signals acquired on a composite plate with a temperature ranging from 20℃to 60℃.It is demonstrated that the proposed method can detect and localize the damage accurately and rapidly,showing great potential for application in complex and unknown EOC. 展开更多

Simultaneous localization and mapping(SLAM)is one of the most attractive research hotspots in the field of robotics,and it is also a prerequisite for the autonomous navigation of robots.It can significantly improve the autonomous navigation ability of mobile robots and their adaptability to different application environments and contribute to the realization of real-time obstacle avoidance and dynamic path planning.Moreover,the application of SLAM technology has expanded from industrial production,intelligent transportation,special operations and other fields to agricultural environments,such as autonomous navigation,independent weeding,three-dimen-sional(3D)mapping,and independent harvesting.This paper mainly introduces the principle,sys-tem framework,latest development and application of SLAM technology,especially in agricultural environments.Firstly,the system framework and theory of the SLAM algorithm are introduced,and the SLAM algorithm is described in detail according to different sensor types.Then,the devel-opment and application of SLAM in the agricultural environment are summarized from two aspects:environment map construction,and localization and navigation of agricultural robots.Finally,the challenges and future research directions of SLAM in the agricultural environment are discussed. 展开更多

Local Altruism as an Environmental Ethic in CO<sub>2</sub>Emissions Control

When considering emissions control problems associated with carbon dioxide (CO2), social planning over quite a long-term horizon is usually considered to be necessary because it takes much time for the full absorption of CO2 by oceans and forests. Sometimes the required time horizon even becomes infinite. Such a fact seems to impose patience beyond the limits of human cognition. However, this study proves that the first-best emissions scenario can be achieved only by local altruism, which is dubbed parentage. Parentage is defined as the action of applying zero social discount rate to its subsequent generation, and discounting the utility of generations thereafter infinitely. In this sense, the nearly first-best emissions scenario is feasible within the ordinal cognition and benevolence of human beings. This paper also examines the definition of egalitarian sustainability, in which the utility of every generation must be kept constant, and reveals that such a definition of sustainability possibly provokes the inefficient intergenerational allocation of CO2. This is because the vested interest of the predecessors is put much importance in the process of the planning. It is required more rigid sustainability concept, in which the utility of each generation is no less decreasing through time and at least strictly increasing locally, to achieve the efficient allocation of CO2. One will find that the intergenerational allocation by the local altruism satisfies this property. 展开更多

The local sustainable development mainly consists in two factors: one is the renovating method continually invented by European Secretariat of ICLEI, and the other is that the local authorities towards sustainability are co-operated by the European Sustainable Cities and Towns Campaign. The eco-budget method is the outcome of these factors. For our country is a big country on rapid progression of industrialization and urbanization, with a large population and scarce resources per capita, it is practically significance to study as soon as possible the methodology. By collecting the environmental target constraints in the annual government work report of prefecture-level cities,this paper studies its impact on local enterprises’OFDI.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Both direct and indirect constraints have a significant positive impact on enterprises’OFDI,and the degree of direct constraints is stronger than that of indirect constraints.(2)Environmental target constraints of local governments will affect corporate OFDI behavior by affecting production costs,local economic development level and local openness,and(3)There are regional heterogeneity and investment type heterogeneity in the impact of environmental goal constraints on corporate OFDI.The suggestions are as follows:government departments can appropriately strengthen the constraint intensity of environmental targets and formulate specific restraint rules for industries with different levels of pollution,so as to effectively make use of the technology spillover effects brought about by OFDI to promote the upgrading of domestic industrial structure.When making OFDI,enterprises should clarify the investment motivation,strengthen corporate social responsibility,and make use of technology spillover effect to promote the upgrading and development of home country industry while being beneficial to their own development. 展开更多

It is the matter for achievement of the low carbon transport system that the excessive use of private vehicles can be controlled appropriately.Not only improvement of service level of modes except private vehicle,but also consciousness for environmental problem of individual trip maker is important for eco-commuting promotion.On the other hand,consciousness for environment would be changed by influence of other person.Accordingly,it is aimed in the study that the structure of decision-making process for modal shift to the eco-commuting mode in the local city is described considering environmental consciousness and social interaction.For the purpose,the consciousness for the environment problem and the travel behavior of the commuter at the suburban area in the local city are investigated by the questionnaire survey.The covariance structure about the eco-consciousness is analyzed with the database of the questionnaire survey by structural equation modeling.As the result,it can be confirmed with the structural equation model that the individual environmental consciousness is strongly related with the intention of self-sacrifice and is influenced with the local interaction of the individual connections.On the other hand,the intention of modal shift for the commuting mode is analyzed with the database of the questionnaire survey.It can be found out that the environmental consciousness is not statistically significant for commuting mode choice with the present poor level of service of public transport.However,the intention of self-sacrifice for the prevention of the global warming is statistically confirmed as the factor of modal shift with the operation of eco-commuting bus service with the RP/SP integrated estimation method.As the result,the multi-agent simulation system with social interaction model for eco consciousness is developed to measure the effect of the eco-commuting promotion.For the purpose,the carbon dioxide emission is estimated based on traffic demand and road network condition in the traffic environment model.On the other hand,the relation between agents is defined based on the small world network.The proposed multi-agent simulation is applied to measure the effect of the eco-commuting promotion such as improvement of level of service on the public transport or education of eco-consciousness.The effect of the promotion plan can be observed with the proposed multi-agent system.Finally,it can be concluded that the proposed multi-agent simulation with social interaction for eco-consciousness is useful for planning of eco-commuting promotion. 展开更多

Wireless sensor network(WSN)positioning has a good effect on indoor positioning,so it has received extensive attention in the field of positioning.Non-line-of sight(NLOS)is a primary challenge in indoor complex environment.In this paper,a robust localization algorithm based on Gaussian mixture model and fitting polynomial is proposed to solve the problem of NLOS error.Firstly,fitting polynomials are used to predict the measured values.The residuals of predicted and measured values are clustered by Gaussian mixture model(GMM).The LOS probability and NLOS probability are calculated according to the clustering centers.The measured values are filtered by Kalman filter(KF),variable parameter unscented Kalman filter(VPUKF)and variable parameter particle filter(VPPF)in turn.The distance value processed by KF and VPUKF and the distance value processed by KF,VPUKF and VPPF are combined according to probability.Finally,the maximum likelihood method is used to calculate the position coordinate estimation.Through simulation comparison,the proposed algorithm has better positioning accuracy than several comparison algorithms in this paper.And it shows strong robustness in strong NLOS environment. 展开更多

Two-dimensional(2D)melting is a fundamental research topic in condensed matter physics,which can also provide guidance on fabricating new functional materials.Nevertheless,our understanding of 2D melting is still far from being complete due to existence of possible complicate transition mechanisms and absence of effective analysis methods.Here,using Monte Carlo simulations,we investigate 2D melting of 60°rhombs which melt from two different surface-fullycoverable crystals,a complex hexagonal crystal(cHX)whose primitive cell contains three rhombs,and a simple rhombic crystal(RB)whose primitive cell contains one rhomb.The melting of both crystals shows a sequence of solid,hexatic in molecular orientation(Hmo),and isotropic phases which obey the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless-Halperin-Nelson-Young(BKTHNY)theory.However,local polymorphic configuration(LPC)based analysis reveals different melting mechanisms:the cHX-Hmotransition is driven by the proliferation of point-like defects during which defect-associated LPCs are generated sequentially,whereas the RB-Hmotransition is driven by line defects where defect-associated LPCs are generated simultaneously.These differences result in the observed different solid-Hmotransition points which areφA=0.812 for the cHX-HmoandφA=0.828 for the RB-Hmo.Our work will shed light on the initial-crystal-dependence of 2D melting behavior. 展开更多

Integrating WSN and Laser SLAM for Mobile Robot Indoor Localization

Localization plays a vital role in the mobile robot navigation system and is a fundamental capability for the following path planning task.In an indoor environment where the global positioning system signal fails or becomes weak,the wireless sensor network(WSN)or simultaneous localization and mapping(SLAM)scheme gradually becomes a research hot spot.WSN method uses received signal strength indicator(RSSI)values to determine the position of the target signal node,however,the orientation of the target node is not clear.Besides,the distance error is large when the indoor signal receives interference.The laser SLAM-based method usually uses a 2D laser Lidar to build an occupancy grid map,then locates the robot according to the known grid map.Unfortunately,this scheme only works effectively in those areas with salient geometrical features.The traditional particle filter always fails for areas with similar structures,such as a long corridor.To solve their shortcomings,this paper proposes a novel coarse-to-fine paradigm that uses WSN to assist mobile robot localization in a geometrically similar environment.Firstly,the fingerprints database is built in the offline stage to get reference distance information.The distance data is determined by the statistical mean value of multiple RSSI values.Secondly,a hybrid map with grid cells and RSSI values is constructed when the mobile robot moves from a starting point to the ending place.Thirdly,the RSSI values are thought of as a basic reference to get a coarse localization.Finally,an improved particle filteringmethod is presented to achieve fine localization.Experimental results demonstrate that our approach is effective and robust for global localization.The localization success rate reaches 97.0%and the average moving distance is only 0.74 meters,while the traditional method always fails.In addition,the method also works well when the mobile robot is kidnapped to another position in the environment. 展开更多

For swarm robots moving in a harsh or uncharted outdoor environment without GPS guidance and global communication,algorithms that rely on global-based information are infeasible.Typically,traditional gene regulatory networks(GRNs)that achieve superior performance in forming trapping pattern towards targets require accurate global positional information to guide swarm robots.This article presents a gene regulatory network with Self-organized grouping and entrapping method for swarms(SUNDER-GRN)to achieve adequate trapping performance with a large-scale swarm in a confined multitarget environment with access to only local information.A hierarchical self-organized grouping method(HSG)is proposed to structure subswarms in a distributed way.In addition,a modified distributed controller,with a relative coordinate system that is established to relieve the need for global information,is leveraged to facilitate subswarms entrapment toward different targets,thus improving the global multi-target entrapping performance.The results demonstrate the superiority of SUNDERGRN in the performance of structuring subswarms and entrapping 10 targets with 200 robots in an environment confined by obstacles and with only local information accessible. 展开更多

Local climate zones(LCZs)are an effective nexus linking internal urban structures to the local climate and have been widely used to study urban thermal environment.However,few studies considered how much the temperature changed due to LCZs transformation and their synergy.This paper quantified the change of urban land surface temperature(LST)in LCZs transformation process by combining the land use transfer matrix with zonal statistics method during 2000–2019 in the Xi’an metropolitan.The results show that,firstly,both LCZs and LST had significant spatiotemporal variations and synchrony.The period when the most LCZs were converted was also the LST rose the fastest,and the spatial growth of the LST coincided with the spatial expansion of the built type LCZs.Secondly,the LST difference between land cover type LCZs and built type LCZs gradually widened.And LST rose more in both built type LCZs transferred in and out.Finally,the Xi’an-Xianyang profile showed that the maximum temperature difference between the peaks and valleys of the LST increased by 4.39℃,indicating that localized high temperature phenomena and fluctuations in the urban thermal environment became more pronounced from 2000 to 2019. 展开更多

企业绿色创新是人与自然和谐现代化的基础和托底,是企业实施绿色转型战略的必然路径。基于机器学习和文本分析法从经济价值导向维度和生态价值导向维度衡量企业绿色创新,并以2007年开始陆续在全国各地设置专门环境法庭为背景,将地方环... 企业绿色创新是人与自然和谐现代化的基础和托底,是企业实施绿色转型战略的必然路径。基于机器学习和文本分析法从经济价值导向维度和生态价值导向维度衡量企业绿色创新,并以2007年开始陆续在全国各地设置专门环境法庭为背景,将地方环境立法与环境司法纳入同一分析框架,利用2004-2020年中国A股上市公司数据,研究地方环境立法与环境司法协同对企业绿色创新的影响。研究发现,环境立法和环境司法具有促进企业绿色创新的协同作用,这一结论在进行一系列稳健性检验后仍然成立;机制检验结果表明,环境司法协同环境立法能够通过增加企业环境成本和促进企业主动进行绿色战略调整来驱动企业进行绿色创新;通过进一步分析发现,相较于经济价值导向绿色创新,企业更加倾向选择生态价值导向绿色创新,并且在国有企业、成本转嫁能力低的企业、处于经济上行期的企业、处于官员绿色政绩考核时期的企业以及管制行业企业中,协同作用更加显著。研究结果拓展了企业绿色创新的驱动因素,对政府推进环境治理、加速企业绿色转型提供了重要启示。 展开更多

地方政府的有效执行是中国式分权下提升中央发展战略实施绩效的关键,而中央政府对地方政府治理行为的有效监督则是其中至关重要的环节。本文基于2007—2019年中国微观工业用地供应以及中央环保督察的通报结果数据,采用广义双重差分法实... 地方政府的有效执行是中国式分权下提升中央发展战略实施绩效的关键,而中央政府对地方政府治理行为的有效监督则是其中至关重要的环节。本文基于2007—2019年中国微观工业用地供应以及中央环保督察的通报结果数据,采用广义双重差分法实证考察中央环保督察对地方政府选择性供地策略的影响及其机制。研究表明,中央环保督察促使地方政府降低污染密集型工业用地供应,增加清洁型工业用地供应,从而推动地区产业结构的绿色转型。机制分析发现,中央环保督察通过地方领导人职业发展激励机制以及产业转型能力机制对不同特征的城市工业土地供应结构策略产生异质性影响。本文结论对高质量发展背景下的央地互动关系与地方利用土地偏向性供给推动产业结构绿色转型具有政策启示。 展开更多

基于20个中央生态环保督察典型案例,采用定性比较分析方法(csQCA),透视地方生态环境治理形式主义行为的多种组态,以解释地方生态环境治理何以发生与再生产形式主义。研究发现:任何单一因素均无法构成形式主义问题产生的必要条件或充分条... 基于20个中央生态环保督察典型案例,采用定性比较分析方法(csQCA),透视地方生态环境治理形式主义行为的多种组态,以解释地方生态环境治理何以发生与再生产形式主义。研究发现:任何单一因素均无法构成形式主义问题产生的必要条件或充分条件,地方生态环境治理形式主义的产生实为“多重复杂并发因果”;六条路径、三类条件组态构成了地方环境治理形式主义产生的主要驱动机制,即“经济约束”驱动型,“注意力兑现悬浮”驱动型与“避责思维”驱动型,各因素的有效结合以“殊途同归”的方式引发形式主义的发生与再生产等。为了防范地方生态环境治理形式主义的产生,厚植高质量发展的绿色底色,提升人民群众的生态环境福祉,当前亟需在推动产业转型以促进“经济”“环保”目标的平衡、内外协同以兑现政府环境注意力,以及精准问责以疏解官员“避责”情结等方面下大功夫。 展开更多
