METHODS: A monoclonal antibody against AM developed by our laboratory was used to detect the localization of AM protein in rat kidney tissue by avidin-biotin complex immunohistochemistry. The expressions of AM and its receptor CRLR mRNA on cultured glomerular epithelial cells (GEC) and MsC were investigated by Northern blot assay, and the possible effect of AM secreted by GEC on MsC proliferation was observed using [3H]thymidine incorporation as an index. RESULTS: A specific monoclonal antibody against AM was succesfully developed. AM was immunohistochemically localized mainly in glomeruli (GEC and endothelial cells), some cortical proximal tubules, medullary collecting duct cells, interstitial cells, vascular smooth muscle cells and endothelial cells. Northern blot assay showed that AM mRNA was expressed only on cultured GEC, but not on MsC, however, AM receptor CRLR mRNA was only expressed on MsC. GEC conditioned medium containing AM can inhibit MsC growth and AM receptor blocker CGRP8-37 may partially decreased this inhibitory effect. CONCLUSION: AM produced by GEC inhibits the proliferation of MsC, which suggests that AM as an important regulator is involved in glomerular normal physiological functions and pathologic processes.展开更多

We estimated that the demand of Japanese sake, which is luxury grocery item, was high. The freshwater layer that is abundant in mineral water to a depth of approximately 10 m is formed in coastal sand dunes. The fresh water layer is hard water, in which the concentrations of minerals such as calcium and magnesium are high. When the fresh water layer is used as the preparation water, the working rice malt and yeast in the sake brewing process become active. Japanese sake trends to be dry with a full-bodied taste. In addition, the main ingredients of local cuisines are fish and shellfish;many local cuisines are seasoned using soy sauce, miso and salt, and these local cuisines pair well with the type of Japanese sake described above. The local cuisines have been nurtured in harmony with the region’s rich nature and heritage. In the future, we need to conserve the rich natural environment of the tidal flat, coast, seaweed beds, and marine, which have been producing the main local cuisine in Chiba Prefecture, and the water source area (a successive environment on the plateau from the coast, which was previously called the coastal dune area) of the preparation water for making Japanese sake. We also need to proactively develop local production for local consumption activities. Thus, we hypothesize that if the Japanese food life is secured and the traditional food culture is continued, the region will become revitalized by the development of the exchanges in the region.展开更多

It can be either internal (addressed to the inhabitants of the unit) or external (aimed at people who are not residents of the unit). The subject of the presented studies will be culture promotion of the region. One of the areas of promotion, little appreciated in Poland so far, is culture and culture heritage which are of greater and greater importance for the regional development. Culture heritage can be a resource to strengthen the region and improve the conditions for economic growth. Culture goods constitute an important factor in the development of socio-economic region. They increase tourist attractiveness contributing to the development of tourism and agro-tourism in the area. The rich history, multi-layered and diverse culture heritage, both tangible and intangible, can be one of the main assets of raising the competitiveness of the given region in the country and the European Union (EU). It should be assumed that in a market economy town or municipality operate in a manner similar to enterprise, they produce products and services offered to the internal market (municipality) as well as to external one (surrounding of the municipality). Competitive conditions require the use of all tools to increase the effectiveness of the operation, including marketing tools. Being a marketing issue a product, which is offered by a city/town, can be considered in two aspects: first as a mega-product (i.e., a city/town as a whole), second as a distribution of a mega-product for individual municipal sub-products. Presented concept of a product offered by a city in its two distinctions can be also applied to a municipality. Market-based approach in relation to territorial units is usually called "territorial marketing". Alternatively, they can be also called "spatial marketing" and "area marketing". Depending on the type of territorial units and the scope of marketing activities various concepts are used (e.g., urban marketing and municipal marketing). Currently in Poland these concepts are generally related to basic units of the administrative division of the country namely to urban and rural municipalities. Therefore, for this type of activities one can suggest the term "municipal marketing".展开更多

Religion structure and family value are reshaping TNCs' operational practices in production as well as distribution spheres. The location-specific consumption patterns are transforming TNCs' operations, deepening their territorial embeddedness,or even exposing them to the danger of overlocalization.展开更多

Following the vein of regional exploration, this paper explores the case of Konkan, along the west coast of India, for the vernacular religious traditions. The mythic hero Parshurama mentioned in the text of Sahyadri Khanda features as a prominent hero along the Konkan coast and numerous places and performative traditions have retained the mythical base of this narrative as a part of local history. Ritual significance of naming certain sites and the connection between temples and other archaeological material sources with a narrative thread form the crux of this discussion on local culture in Konkan. The aspect of orality in the narrative scheme is often overlooked in the study of regional culture, and this exploration makes a case for the interdisciplinary approach of textual sources, ethnographic and oral accounts along with the data pertaining to material culture in such a study. The paper offers an entry point into the examination of religious texts and local performative tradition hinged on narratives of space that have shaped the vernacular culture to this day. This exploration will offer a case-study for an interdisciplinary investigation into local cultures that in turn enrich the knowledge on popular socio-religious currents.展开更多

Therefore, for this type of activities one can suggest the term "municipal marketing".
文摘As an increasing number of firms are exercising transnational operations to occupy markets and exploit location-specific factors, some scholars claimed that 'the world is flat' and the local particularities no longer matter for the 'invincible' transnational corporations(TNC).But I argue that there exist some socio-cultural factors in the host countries influencing the actions of TNCs.I point out six local factors which include social norms, local attitudes, class formation, family structure, religion, and consumption pattern.Social norms are regulating TNCs' activities and local attitudes in varying contexts are encouraging or resisting against the transnational operators.Class formation generates new demands benefiting TNCs ' expansion. Religion structure and family value are reshaping TNCs' operational practices in production as well as distribution spheres. The location-specific consumption patterns are transforming TNCs' operations, deepening their territorial embeddedness,or even exposing them to the danger of overlocalization.
文摘As the literary pride from the black land of northeast China,Xiao hong’s works show the unique regional culture of northeast China. With her meticulous brush strokes, she showed us the distinct geographical environment of the four seasons in north China, the strong local flavor and people’s sentiment,as well as the servility and ferocity of the people in the northeast.Xiao hong’s criticism of callous and ignorant servile characters and his praise of the consciousness of resistance and the indomitable life form, prompts us to think about the“national character”of northeast China and makes us feel the tragedy of society, the philosophy of life and the spirit of poets.
文摘The return to the study of localized aspects of culture and tradition is unravelling the various layers of a regional cultural milieu in academic study. This exploration will offer a case-study for an interdisciplinary investigation into local cultures that in turn enrich the knowledge on popular socio-religious currents.
