This study aims to understand public physical education teachers’cognition of inclusive sports in Chinese universities,and to further explore the practical significance and theoretical enlightenment of this specific ...This study aims to understand public physical education teachers’cognition of inclusive sports in Chinese universities,and to further explore the practical significance and theoretical enlightenment of this specific cognition.This research adopted the TMATIES scale to measure,and then,based on grounded theory,selected 30 physical education teachers from six national universities(the first batch of inclusive demonstration universities),for in-depth interviews.The study found that these teachers’cognition of inclusive sports in universities mainly consists of four dimensions:the instinct and value of inclusive sports,challenges of implementing inclusive sports,teaching implementation and evaluation of inclusive sports,and improvement of teachers’skills in the process of implementing the inclusive sports.It is necessary to expand the professional talent training path of inclusive sports and build a multidimensional student safety guarantee system to promote the high-quality development of inclusive sports.展开更多
This paper reports on a LSC(Library Society of China) funded project 'Library Service Network Development' and its major findings.The primary objective of the project was to investigate the work that Chinese l...This paper reports on a LSC(Library Society of China) funded project 'Library Service Network Development' and its major findings.The primary objective of the project was to investigate the work that Chinese local governments and the library profession has devoted to consolidating regional and local library systems for equitable access since the beginning of this Millennium.The study shows that in the past few years,local governments and library professionals have proactively sought ways to establish community based libraries,build contract based main-branch relations and develop regional library service networks.The study also shows that although these endeavors have produced visible improvement to local public library systems and have accumulated valuable experience for promoting equality of access,a true and sustainable equality of public library access requires radical changes to the governing structure of Chinese public libraries:it requires a redefinition of their development agents and administrative unit.展开更多
