Under the background of“Internet plus”rapid development,the agricultural logistics industry should apply information technology to every link of the agricultural product logistics industry chain.By making full use of the decision making module of the agricultural logistics information system,we can realize the full sharing of information and data resources,which makes the decision-making scheme of the agricultural logistics information system more optimized.In real economic society,the uncertainty and mismatch between the customer’s logistics service demand and the logistics service capability that the logistics service function provider can provide,that is,when the two information are asymmetric,how to use the third-party contract to coordinate the income and profit distribution of the two,to make the information system decision making more reasonable?This paper mainly studies the coordination scheme of agricultural logistics information system decision making under uncertain output and demand information by introducing the spot market.A joint coordination strategy based on revenue sharing and penalty feedback contracts proposes decentralized decision making based on game theory.Experiments show that the flexible ordering strategy proposed in this paper can reduce the logistics service supply chain’s uncertainty and significantly improve the logistics service supply chain’s overall income level through coordination contracts. 展开更多

At the same time, the online shopping could not be successfully completed without logistics service. Logistics service quality (LSQ) has significant impact on revenue and profitability. This paper presents the issue from the perspective of the customer, and explores the initial factors of LSQ based on the online shopping through in-depth interview and the Delphi method. The survey uses a standard 7-point Likert-type scale to measure the LSQ. Empirical research results are shown in detail to confirm seven LSQ dimensions with Chinese characteristics, including timeliness quality, personal contact quality, order quality, order discrepancy handling, order condition and convenience. Statistical analyses of the investigation were conducted to test the reliability and validity of the LSQ evaluation model. 展开更多

Survival Analysis of Logistics Service Providers: An Empirical Study of Chengdu, Area in China

This paper worked on a sample of 6791 logistics establishments registered in Chengdu, China over the period 1984-2016 to understand the survival status of </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">logistics service providers (LSPs) by non-parametric Kaplan-Meier estimation, together with Cox proportional hazard regression model, to identify factors affecting the failure of LSPs. In particular, it studies the interaction effect between LSPs’ size and entry timing and location. The empirical results show that: 1) Regarding the survival time, 1365 of the 6791 sample LSPs exited from the market by 2017. The exit rate is 20.1%, and the average life of the 6791 LSPs is about 6 years. 2) The survival of LSPs depends on their typology, ownership structure. And there is no significant difference in the probability of survival for both independent LSPs and logistics branches after controlling the effects of other variables. 3) Location and entry timing also play an important role in the survival of small-scale LSPs, but these factors cannot explain large-scale LSPs’ failure. 展开更多

The research dealt with assessment of logistics service providers' capabilities in SECs (supporting subsea engineering companies) on the Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme (TEN) project in Ghana. SECs need logistics service providers who offer consolidated services for project optimization and fulfillment of local content requirements of the project. Relevant Staffof7 SECs and 10 logistics service providers in Ghana formed part of the target group. The weighted scoring model was used in selecting a logistics service provider based on certain criteria. The selection criteria included Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) policies [Q], Compliance to regulations (GRA, Work permit, petroleum regulation) [C], Delivery of goods on time and response rate to deliver [D], Vessel, Cargo attendance and transportation (sea freight and air freight) [V], and Logistics (Personal logistics and Logistics base facilities) [L]. The study concluded Consolidated Shipping Agency (Conship) was the best Logistics Service Provider to offer the best consolidated services for project optimization under the TEN project. 展开更多

Scheduling is one of the most difficult issues in t he planning and operations of the aircraft services industry. In this paper, t he various scheduling problems in ground support operation of an aircraft mainte nance service company are addressed. The authors developed a set of vehicle rout ings to cover each schedule flights; the objectives pursued are the maximization of vehicle and manpower utilization and minimization of operation time. To obta in the goals, an integer-programming model with genetic algorithm is formulated . It is found that the company can produce an effective and efficient schedules to deploy the manpower and equipment resources. Simulation is used to verify the method and a MATLAB program is used to code the genetic algorithm. This model i s further illustrated by a case study in Hong Kong and the benefit elaborated. F inally, a conclusion is made to summarize the experience of this project and pro vide further improvement. 展开更多

This paper discusses one of the contemporary challenging issues for Vietnam--how to improve value chain through efficient port logistics. The objective of this research is to review literature issue of value chain, analyse the situation of Vietnam logistics sector, especially in port logistics and provide some recommendations to improve value chain of Vietnam export goods. The surveyed issues of both sides of logistics service providers (LSPs) and beneficial cargo owners (BCOs) will be taken into consideration. Assuming that the realized demand is determined by the inventory level,a two-part revenue sharing contract of one supplier and one retailer is analyzed under the circumstance of demand disruption(the disruption cost occurs at the supplier).Based on the centralized optimization,the profits of the two members are maximized in sequential optimization though a two-part revenue-sharing contract.The result shows that when the demand disruption occurs,if the degree of disruption is within some range,the ordering and manufacturing plans need not be changed,while only the revenue sharing fraction for the retailer should be diminished;if not,both the plan and the revenue sharing fraction should be changed for the possible coordination of the supply chain.Finally,numerical illustrations of the contract for various scenarios are given. 展开更多

As an integrated part in supply chain,third-party logistics(3PL)has intrinsic connections with upstream manufacturer and downstream retailer.Using a Stackelberg game model consisting of a manufacturer,a retailer and a 3PL to explicitly capture the interaction of firms’operations decisions,this paper attempts to better understand the role of integrated logistics and procurement service(ILPS)provided by a 3PL firm in supply chain management.Compared with a supply chain without ILPS,a Pareto region,in which all the supply chain members benefit from working with a 3PL firm offering ILPS,is disclosed.We also show that the Pareto region is more likely to occur with higher demand uncertainty.Finally,we reveal that the manufacturer obtains the highest profit in the Pareto region,and that the retailer can improve his profit share as the standard deviation of demand increases. 展开更多

A global enterprise must continuously improve the efficiency of logistic operations between supply chain collaborators. Integrating logistic services, resources, and necessary information flows in the supply chain to ensure efficiency and efficacy is critically important to these companies. Global logistic service companies face challenges from their clients to provide logistic services that are cost effective, accurate, and seamlessly integrate material, information and cash flows. In this research, an improved framework for one-stop logistic services is systematically designed, analyzed, and evaluated. The one-stop logistic service framework, defmed in four models, is developed to provide enterprises with integrated and comprehensive services within the global supply chain context. The levels of service importance are assessed using a four categories questionnaire. This research provides a case study of the implementation of one-stop logistic services in the distribution industry and demonstrates the framework operating under different demand conditions. Finally, system dynamics causal evaluation is used to evaluate the advantages of the logistic service framework. 展开更多

The quality of logistics services affects the performance and competitiveness of express logistics companies.Conventional evaluation methods of service quality are based on constructing a rating index system and then comprehensively evaluating the associated questionnaires and interviews.Such methods are often subjective,time-consuming,and include a limited sample size(data).On the other hand,customers'opinions concerning logistics services can now be deciphered using online customer reviews.Therefore,this study proposes a method combining the models of latent Dirichlet allocation and long-short term memory(LDA-LSTM)to overcome the limitations of conventional evaluation methods.The main contributions include four aspects.First,the LDA-LSTM model can extract comprehensive aspects and opinions to develop evaluation indexes and scores for logistics service quality,and the reviews of a logistics firm can be examined to verify the effectiveness of this method.Second,the LDA-LSTM model can handle a situation in which several aspects and opinions express one topic or sentiment,and it outperforms the joint sentiment topic model(JST)and naive Bayes classification(NB).Third,positive and negative ratings can reflect a firm's overall service quality,with an excellent rating highlighting the best service quality,which can provide a multi-dimensional evaluation.Fourth,we also identify the indicators of logistics service quality on which customers focus,and we compare the service quality among express enterprises in China. 展开更多
