Current status of rural informatization construction in China,including the relatively weak rural informatization,asymmetric market information,low level of information sharing,dispersedly allocated resources and no c...Current status of rural informatization construction in China,including the relatively weak rural informatization,asymmetric market information,low level of information sharing,dispersedly allocated resources and no cross point among each other are analyzed.The importance of informatization in rural logistic system is introduced:firstly,decision making of logistics system plan is based on information.Secondly,improvement of the overall efficiency of logistics system is based on information.Thirdly,logistics transmission takes the Internet as the carrier.Necessity of rural logistics system is discussed from five aspects of increasing the employment of farmers,enhancing the income of farmers,reducing the blindness of agricultural production and circulation,sharing the risks of agricultural management,and promoting the rural economic restructuring.According to the above five steps,five countermeasures are posed in order to improve the rural logistics system.The countermeasures cover the aspects of deepening the information awareness of government,establishing a rural informatization system suited to the national condition of China,strengthening the information infrastructure in rural areas,promoting the integration of rural information resources and establishing the training system for agricultural information talents.展开更多

Particularly in the early phases of a disaster,logistical decisions are needed to be made quickly and under high pressure for the decision-makers,knowing that their decisions may have direct consequences on the affect...Particularly in the early phases of a disaster,logistical decisions are needed to be made quickly and under high pressure for the decision-makers,knowing that their decisions may have direct consequences on the affected society and all future decisions.Proactive risk reduction may be helpful in providing decision-makers with optimal strategies in advance.However,disasters are characterized by severe uncertainty and complexity,limited knowledge about the causes of the disaster,and continuous change of the situation in unpredicted ways.Following these assumptions,we believe that adequate proactive risk reduction measures are not practical.We propose strengthening the focus on ad hoc decision support to capture information in almost real time and to process information efficiently to reveal uncertainties that had not been previously predicted.Therefore,we present an ad hoc decision support system that uses scenario techniques to capture uncertainty by future developments of a situation and an optimization model to compute promising decision options.By combining these aspects in a dynamic manner and integrating new information continuously,it can be ensured that a decision is always based on the best currently available and processed information.And finally,to identify a robust decision option that is provided as a decision recommendation to the decision-makers,methods of multi-attribute decision making(MADM)are applied.Our approach is illustrated for a facility location decision problem arising in humanitarian relief logistics where the objective is to identify robust locations for tent hospitals to serve injured people in the immediate aftermath of the Haiti Earthquake 2010.展开更多
The growing interest in the material flow(MF)theory has invoked much interesting research in recent years.Although the MF theory is relatively new,a review of the related literature from a historical perspective shows...The growing interest in the material flow(MF)theory has invoked much interesting research in recent years.Although the MF theory is relatively new,a review of the related literature from a historical perspective shows that MF theory represents a new stage of the evolutionary development of interrelated subjects such as Physical Distribution(PD),Logistics,and Supply Chain Management(SCM).The purpose of this paper is to provide a summative review of the evolution of the subjects of PD,Logistics,and SCM,and their new development,MF theory.The paper aims at tracing how concepts and findings in PD,Logistics,SCM,and MF have been developed and have evolved.The study shows that PD evolved to Logistics in middle of the 1980s;starting from the late 1990s,Logistics has evolved to SCM;and today PD,Logistics,and SCM can be considered to be under the umbrella provided by a new theory called MF theory.This paper points out that MF theory is a necessity to deal with the overwhelming complexity of material flow systems in the global economy of the twenty-first century.展开更多
In the era of rapid information development,with the popularity of computers,the advancement of science and technology,and the ongoing expansion of IT technology and business,the enterprise resource planning(ERP)syste...In the era of rapid information development,with the popularity of computers,the advancement of science and technology,and the ongoing expansion of IT technology and business,the enterprise resource planning(ERP)system has evolved into a platform and a guarantee for the fulfilment of company management procedures after long-term operations.Because of developments in information technology,most manual accounting procedures are being replaced by computerized Accounting Information Systems(AIS),which are quicker and more accurate.The primary factors influencing the decisions of logistics firm trading parties are investigated in order to enhance the design of decision-supporting modules and to improve the performance of logistics enterprises through AIS.This paper proposed a novel approach to calculate the weights of each information element in order to establish their important degree.The main purpose of this research is to present a quantitative analytic approach for determining the important information of logistics business collaboration response.Furthermore,the idea of total orders and the significant degrees stated above are used to identify the optimal order of all information elements.Using the three ways of marginal revenue,marginal cost,and business matching degree,the information with cumulative weights is which is deployed to form the data from the intersection of the best order.It has the ability to drastically reduce the time and effort required to create a logistics business control/decision-making system.展开更多
