However, fast charging exacerbates battery degradation and shortens battery lifespan. In addition, there is still a lack of tailored health estimations for fast-charging batteries;most existing methods are applicable at lower charging rates. This paper proposes a novel method for estimating the health of lithium-ion batteries, which is tailored for multi-stage constant current-constant voltage fast-charging policies. Initially, short charging segments are extracted by monitoring current switches,followed by deriving voltage sequences using interpolation techniques. Subsequently, a graph generation layer is used to transform the voltage sequence into graphical data. Furthermore, the integration of a graph convolution network with a long short-term memory network enables the extraction of information related to inter-node message transmission, capturing the key local and temporal features during the battery degradation process. Finally, this method is confirmed by utilizing aging data from 185 cells and 81 distinct fast-charging policies. The 4-minute charging duration achieves a balance between high accuracy in estimating battery state of health and low data requirements, with mean absolute errors and root mean square errors of 0.34% and 0.66%, respectively.展开更多
Stress changes due to changes in fluid pressure and temperature in a faulted formation may lead to the opening/shearing of the fault.This can be due to subsurface(geo)engineering activities such as fluid injections an...Stress changes due to changes in fluid pressure and temperature in a faulted formation may lead to the opening/shearing of the fault.This can be due to subsurface(geo)engineering activities such as fluid injections and geologic disposal of nuclear waste.Such activities are expected to rise in the future making it necessary to assess their short-and long-term safety.Here,a new machine learning(ML)approach to model pore pressure and fault displacements in response to high-pressure fluid injection cycles is developed.The focus is on fault behavior near the injection borehole.To capture the temporal dependencies in the data,long short-term memory(LSTM)networks are utilized.To prevent error accumulation within the forecast window,four critical measures to train a robust LSTM model for predicting fault response are highlighted:(i)setting an appropriate value of LSTM lag,(ii)calibrating the LSTM cell dimension,(iii)learning rate reduction during weight optimization,and(iv)not adopting an independent injection cycle as a validation set.Several numerical experiments were conducted,which demonstrated that the ML model can capture peaks in pressure and associated fault displacement that accompany an increase in fluid injection.The model also captured the decay in pressure and displacement during the injection shut-in period.Further,the ability of an ML model to highlight key changes in fault hydromechanical activation processes was investigated,which shows that ML can be used to monitor risk of fault activation and leakage during high pressure fluid injections.展开更多

However, these models based on a hybrid method require a force...A Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM) Recurrent Neural Network(RNN) has driven tremendous improvements on an acoustic model based on Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM). However, these models based on a hybrid method require a forced aligned Hidden Markov Model(HMM) state sequence obtained from the GMM-based acoustic model. Therefore, it requires a long computation time for training both the GMM-based acoustic model and a deep learning-based acoustic model. In order to solve this problem, an acoustic model using CTC algorithm is proposed. CTC algorithm does not require the GMM-based acoustic model because it does not use the forced aligned HMM state sequence. However, previous works on a LSTM RNN-based acoustic model using CTC used a small-scale training corpus. In this paper, the LSTM RNN-based acoustic model using CTC is trained on a large-scale training corpus and its performance is evaluated. The implemented acoustic model has a performance of 6.18% and 15.01% in terms of Word Error Rate(WER) for clean speech and noisy speech, respectively. This is similar to a performance of the acoustic model based on the hybrid method.展开更多

To explore new operational forecasting methods of waves,a forecasting model for wave heights at three stations in the Bohai Sea has been developed.This model is based on long short-term memory(LSTM)neural network with...To explore new operational forecasting methods of waves,a forecasting model for wave heights at three stations in the Bohai Sea has been developed.This model is based on long short-term memory(LSTM)neural network with sea surface wind and wave heights as training samples.The prediction performance of the model is evaluated,and the error analysis shows that when using the same set of numerically predicted sea surface wind as input,the prediction error produced by the proposed LSTM model at Sta.N01 is 20%,18%and 23%lower than the conventional numerical wave models in terms of the total root mean square error(RMSE),scatter index(SI)and mean absolute error(MAE),respectively.Particularly,for significant wave height in the range of 3–5 m,the prediction accuracy of the LSTM model is improved the most remarkably,with RMSE,SI and MAE all decreasing by 24%.It is also evident that the numbers of hidden neurons,the numbers of buoys used and the time length of training samples all have impact on the prediction accuracy.However,the prediction does not necessary improve with the increase of number of hidden neurons or number of buoys used.The experiment trained by data with the longest time length is found to perform the best overall compared to other experiments with a shorter time length for training.Overall,long short-term memory neural network was proved to be a very promising method for future development and applications in wave forecasting.展开更多

With the advancement of big data technology, data-driven fault diagnosis methods are being extensively used and still have considerable potential. In recent years, methods based on deep neural networks have made significant breakthroughs, and fault diagnosis methods for industrial processes based on deep learning have attracted considerable research attention. Therefore, we propose a fusion deeplearning algorithm based on a fully convolutional neural network(FCN) to extract features and build models to correctly diagnose all types of faults. We use long short-term memory(LSTM) units to expand our proposed FCN so that our proposed deep learning model can better extract the time-domain features of chemical process data. We also introduce the attention mechanism into the model, aimed at highlighting the importance of features, which is significant for the fault diagnosis of chemical processes with many features. When applied to the benchmark Tennessee Eastman process, our proposed model exhibits impressive performance, demonstrating the effectiveness of the attention-based LSTM FCN in chemical process fault diagnosis.展开更多

All the nodes with packets to send can make rapid successful reservation in access reservation mini-slots, which is adaptively adjusted according to current traffic load and idle channel resources. A Central Control Node (CCN) coordinates channel reservation and allocates on-demand channel resources to the successfully accessed nodes on two channels. Each node can employ only one handshake to accomplish each communication session, and transmit one or multiple data packets piggybacked with acknowledgment (ACK) information to one or multiple destination nodes in each frame until the end of their communication sessions, which greatly minimizes the impact of long propagation delay caused by handshakes and improves channel efficiency. Simulation results show that the proposed protocol obviously outperforms the Centralized Scheduling-based Medium Access Control (CSMAC) protocol, especially in the presence of long propagation delay.展开更多
An accurate landslide displacement prediction is an important part of landslide warning system. Aiming at the dynamic characteristics of landslide evolution and the shortcomings of traditional static prediction models, this paper proposes a dynamic prediction model of landslide displacement based on singular spectrum analysis(SSA) and stack long short-term memory(SLSTM) network. The SSA is used to decompose the landslide accumulated displacement time series data into trend term and periodic term displacement subsequences. A cubic polynomial function is used to predict the trend term displacement subsequence, and the SLSTM neural network is used to predict the periodic term displacement subsequence. At the same time, the Bayesian optimization algorithm is used to determine that the SLSTM network input sequence length is 12 and the number of hidden layer nodes is 18. The SLSTM network is updated by adding predicted values to the training set to achieve dynamic displacement prediction. Finally, the accumulated landslide displacement is obtained by superimposing the predicted value of each displacement subsequence. The proposed model was verified on the Xintan landslide in Hubei Province, China. The results show that when predicting the displacement of the periodic term, the SLSTM network has higher prediction accuracy than the support vector machine(SVM) and auto regressive integrated moving average(ARIMA). The mean relative error(MRE) is reduced by 4.099% and 3.548% respectively, while the root mean square error(RMSE) is reduced by 5.830 mm and 3.854 mm respectively. It is concluded that the SLSTM network model can better simulate the dynamic characteristics of landslides.展开更多
There are two technical challenges in predicting slope deformation.The first one is the random displacement,which could not be decomposed and predicted by numerically resolving the observed accumulated displacement an...There are two technical challenges in predicting slope deformation.The first one is the random displacement,which could not be decomposed and predicted by numerically resolving the observed accumulated displacement and time series of a landslide.The second one is the dynamic evolution of a landslide,which could not be feasibly simulated simply by traditional prediction models.In this paper,a dynamic model of displacement prediction is introduced for composite landslides based on a combination of empirical mode decomposition with soft screening stop criteria(SSSC-EMD)and deep bidirectional long short-term memory(DBi-LSTM)neural network.In the proposed model,the time series analysis and SSSC-EMD are used to decompose the observed accumulated displacements of a slope into three components,viz.trend displacement,periodic displacement,and random displacement.Then,by analyzing the evolution pattern of a landslide and its key factors triggering landslides,appropriate influencing factors are selected for each displacement component,and DBi-LSTM neural network to carry out multi-datadriven dynamic prediction for each displacement component.An accumulated displacement prediction has been obtained by a summation of each component.For accuracy verification and engineering practicability of the model,field observations from two known landslides in China,the Xintan landslide and the Bazimen landslide were collected for comparison and evaluation.The case study verified that the model proposed in this paper can better characterize the"stepwise"deformation characteristics of a slope.As compared with long short-term memory(LSTM)neural network,support vector machine(SVM),and autoregressive integrated moving average(ARIMA)model,DBi-LSTM neural network has higher accuracy in predicting the periodic displacement of slope deformation,with the mean absolute percentage error reduced by 3.063%,14.913%,and 13.960%respectively,and the root mean square error reduced by 1.951 mm,8.954 mm and 7.790 mm respectively.Conclusively,this model not only has high prediction accuracy but also is more stable,which can provide new insight for practical landslide prevention and control engineering.展开更多
Holter usually monitors electrocardiogram(ECG)signals for more than 24 hours to capture short-lived cardiac abnormalities.In view of the large amount of Holter data and the fact that the normal part accounts for the m...Holter usually monitors electrocardiogram(ECG)signals for more than 24 hours to capture short-lived cardiac abnormalities.In view of the large amount of Holter data and the fact that the normal part accounts for the majority,it is reasonable to design an algorithm that can automatically eliminate normal data segments as much as possible without missing any abnormal data segments,and then take the left segments to the doctors or the computer programs for further diagnosis.In this paper,we propose a preliminary abnormal segment screening method for Holter data.Based on long short-term memory(LSTM)networks,the prediction model is established and trained with the normal data of a monitored object.Then,on the basis of kernel density estimation,we learn the distribution law of prediction errors after applying the trained LSTM model to the regular data.Based on these,the preliminary abnormal ECG segment screening analysis is carried out without R wave detection.Experiments on the MIT-BIH arrhythmia database show that,under the condition of ensuring that no abnormal point is missed,53.89% of normal segments can be effectively obviated.This work can greatly reduce the workload of subsequent further processing.展开更多

Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)participate in a variety of biological processes and diseases.However,the expression and function of lncRNAs after spinal cord injury has not been extensively analyzed.In this study of righ...Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)participate in a variety of biological processes and diseases.However,the expression and function of lncRNAs after spinal cord injury has not been extensively analyzed.In this study of right side hemisection of the spinal cord at T10,we detected the expression of lncRNAs in the proximal tissue of T10 lamina at different time points and found 445 lncRNAs and 6522 mRNA were differentially expressed.We divided the differentially expressed lncRNAs into 26 expression trends and analyzed Profile 25 and Profile 2,the two expression trends with the most significant difference.Our results showed that the expression of 68 lncRNAs in Profile 25 rose first and remained high 3 days post-injury.There were 387 mRNAs co-expressed with the 68 lncRNAs in Profile 25.The co-expression network showed that the co-expressed genes were mainly enriched in cell division,inflammatory response,FcγR-mediated cell phagocytosis signaling pathway,cell cycle and apoptosis.The expression of 56 lncRNAs in Profile2 first declined and remained low after 3 days post-injury.There were 387 mRNAs co-expressed with the 56 lncRNAs in Profile 2.The co-expression network showed that the co-expressed genes were mainly enriched in the chemical synaptic transmission process and in the signaling pathway of neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction.The results provided the expression and regulatory network of the main lncRNAs after spinal cord injury and clarified their co-expressed gene enriched biological processes and signaling pathways.These findings provide a new direction for the clinical treatment of spinal cord injury.展开更多
Speaker separation in complex acoustic environment is one of challenging tasks in speech separation.In practice,speakers are very often unmoving or moving slowly in normal communication.In this case,the spatial featur...Speaker separation in complex acoustic environment is one of challenging tasks in speech separation.In practice,speakers are very often unmoving or moving slowly in normal communication.In this case,the spatial features among the consecutive speech frames become highly correlated such that it is helpful for speaker separation by providing additional spatial information.To fully exploit this information,we design a separation system on Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)with long short-term memory(LSTM)which effectively learns the temporal dynamics of spatial features.In detail,a LSTM-based speaker separation algorithm is proposed to extract the spatial features in each time-frequency(TF)unit and form the corresponding feature vector.Then,we treat speaker separation as a supervised learning problem,where a modified ideal ratio mask(IRM)is defined as the training function during LSTM learning.Simulations show that the proposed system achieves attractive separation performance in noisy and reverberant environments.Specifically,during the untrained acoustic test with limited priors,e.g.,unmatched signal to noise ratio(SNR)and reverberation,the proposed LSTM based algorithm can still outperforms the existing DNN based method in the measures of PESQ and STOI.It indicates our method is more robust in untrained conditions.展开更多
BACKGROUND Because of the powerful abilities of self-learning and handling complex biological information,artificial neural network(ANN)models have been widely applied to disease diagnosis,imaging analysis,and prognos...BACKGROUND Because of the powerful abilities of self-learning and handling complex biological information,artificial neural network(ANN)models have been widely applied to disease diagnosis,imaging analysis,and prognosis prediction.However,there has been no trained preoperative ANN(preope-ANN)model to preoperatively predict the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer(GC).AIM To establish a neural network model that can predict long-term survival of GC patients before surgery to evaluate the tumor condition before the operation.METHODS The clinicopathological data of 1608 GC patients treated from January 2011 to April 2015 at the Department of Gastric Surgery,Fujian Medical University Union Hospital were analyzed retrospectively.The patients were randomly divided into a training set(70%)for establishing a preope-ANN model and a testing set(30%).The prognostic evaluation ability of the preope-ANN model was compared with that of the American Joint Commission on Cancer(8th edition)clinical TNM(cTNM)and pathological TNM(pTNM)staging through the receiver operating characteristic curve,Akaike information criterion index,Harrell's C index,and likelihood ratio chi-square.RESULTS We used the variables that were statistically significant factors for the 3-year overall survival as input-layer variables to develop a preope-ANN in the training set.The survival curves within each score of the preope-ANN had good discrimination(P<0.05).Comparing the preope-ANN model,cTNM,and pTNM in both the training and testing sets,the preope-ANN model was superior to cTNM in predictive discrimination(C index),predictive homogeneity(likelihood ratio chi-square),and prediction accuracy(area under the curve).The prediction efficiency of the preope-ANN model is similar to that of pTNM.CONCLUSION The preope-ANN model can accurately predict the long-term survival of GC patients,and its predictive efficiency is not inferior to that of pTNM stage.展开更多
Purpose–The traction cable is paralleled with the existing traction network of electrified railway through transverse connecting line to form the scheme of long distance power supply for the traction network.This pap...Purpose–The traction cable is paralleled with the existing traction network of electrified railway through transverse connecting line to form the scheme of long distance power supply for the traction network.This paper aims to study the scheme composition and power supply distance(PSD)of the scheme.Design/methodology/approach–Based on the structure of parallel traction network(referred to as“cable traction network(CTN)”),the power supply modes(PSMs)are divided into cableþdirect PSM and cableþautotransformer(AT)PSM(including Japanese mode,French mode and new mode).Taking cableþJapanese AT PSM as an example,the scheme of long distance power supply for CTN under the PSMs of co-phase and out-of-phase power supply are designed.On the basis of establishing the equivalent circuit model and the chain circuit model of CTN,taking the train working voltage as the constraint condition,and based on the power flow calculation of multiple train loads,the calculation formula and process for determining the PSD of CTN are given.The impedance and PSD of CTN under the cableþAT PSM are simulated and analyzed,and a certain line is taken as an example to compare the scheme design.Findings–Results show that the equivalent impedance of CTN under the cableþAT PSM is smaller,and the PSD is about 2.5 times of that under the AT PSM,which can effectively increase the PSD and the flexibility of external power supply location.Originality/value–The research content can effectively improve the PSD of traction power supply system and has important reference value for the engineering application of the scheme.展开更多

Uniform message format and communication protocols are made. Considering intensive high-frequency noises at the welding zone, a quadruple check mode, including data sum check, parameter type check, welding parameters check and Exclusive OR ( XOR ) check, is adopted to assure the reliability of communication among multiple computers. Based on disturbing circuit, common circuit and sensitive circuit, the measures are brought forward to ensure the stabilization of communication network of remote arc welding by analyzing the wiring principle of anti-high-frequency interference of system bus, signal wires and shielding twisted-pair(STP) wires. In this paper,the recurrent neural network structure of a bidirectional long shortterm memory network(Bi-LSTM)with special memory cells that store information is used to characterize the deep features of the variation...In this paper,the recurrent neural network structure of a bidirectional long shortterm memory network(Bi-LSTM)with special memory cells that store information is used to characterize the deep features of the variation pattern between logging and seismic data.A mapping relationship model between high-frequency logging data and low-frequency seismic data is established via nonlinear mapping.The seismic waveform is infinitely approximated using the logging curve in the low-frequency band to obtain a nonlinear mapping model of this scale,which then stepwise approach the logging curve in the high-frequency band.Finally,a seismic-inversion method of nonlinear mapping multilevel well–seismic matching based on the Bi-LSTM network is developed.The characteristic of this method is that by applying the multilevel well–seismic matching process,the seismic data are stepwise matched to the scale range that is consistent with the logging curve.Further,the matching operator at each level can be stably obtained to effectively overcome the problems that occur in the well–seismic matching process,such as the inconsistency in the scale of two types of data,accuracy in extracting the seismic wavelet of the well-side seismic traces,and multiplicity of solutions.Model test and practical application demonstrate that this method improves the vertical resolution of inversion results,and at the same time,the boundary and the lateral characteristics of the sand body are well maintained to improve the accuracy of thin-layer sand body prediction and achieve an improved practical application effect.展开更多

Point-of-interest(POI)recommendations in location-based social networks(LBSNs)have developed rapidly by incorporating feature information and deep learning methods.However,most studies have failed to accurately reflec...Point-of-interest(POI)recommendations in location-based social networks(LBSNs)have developed rapidly by incorporating feature information and deep learning methods.However,most studies have failed to accurately reflect different users’preferences,in particular,the short-term preferences of inactive users.To better learn user preferences,in this study,we propose a long-short-term-preference-based adaptive successive POI recommendation(LSTP-ASR)method by combining trajectory sequence processing,long short-term preference learning,and spatiotemporal context.First,the check-in trajectory sequences are adaptively divided into recent and historical sequences according to a dynamic time window.Subsequently,an adaptive filling strategy is used to expand the recent check-in sequences of users with inactive check-in behavior using those of similar active users.We further propose an adaptive learning model to accurately extract long short-term preferences of users to establish an efficient successive POI recommendation system.A spatiotemporal-context-based recurrent neural network and temporal-context-based long short-term memory network are used to model the users’recent and historical checkin trajectory sequences,respectively.Extensive experiments on the Foursquare and Gowalla datasets reveal that the proposed method outperforms several other baseline methods in terms of three evaluation metrics.More specifically,LSTP-ASR outperforms the previously best baseline method(RTPM)with a 17.15%and 20.62%average improvement on the Foursquare and Gowalla datasets in terms of the Fβmetric,respectively.展开更多

This paper proposes a novel method for estimating the health of lithium-ion batteries, which is tailored for multi-stage constant current-constant voltage fast-charging policies. Initially, short charging segments are extracted by monitoring current switches,followed by deriving voltage sequences using interpolation techniques. Subsequently, a graph generation layer is used to transform the voltage sequence into graphical data. Furthermore, the integration of a graph convolution network with a long short-term memory network enables the extraction of information related to inter-node message transmission, capturing the key local and temporal features during the battery degradation process. Finally, this method is confirmed by utilizing aging data from 185 cells and 81 distinct fast-charging policies. The 4-minute charging duration achieves a balance between high accuracy in estimating battery state of health and low data requirements, with mean absolute errors and root mean square errors of 0.34% and 0.66%, respectively.

文摘Stress changes due to changes in fluid pressure and temperature in a faulted formation may lead to the opening/shearing of the fault.This can be due to subsurface(geo)engineering activities such as fluid injections and geologic disposal of nuclear waste.Such activities are expected to rise in the future making it necessary to assess their short-and long-term safety.Here,a new machine learning(ML)approach to model pore pressure and fault displacements in response to high-pressure fluid injection cycles is developed.The focus is on fault behavior near the injection borehole.To capture the temporal dependencies in the data,long short-term memory(LSTM)networks are utilized.To prevent error accumulation within the forecast window,four critical measures to train a robust LSTM model for predicting fault response are highlighted:(i)setting an appropriate value of LSTM lag,(ii)calibrating the LSTM cell dimension,(iii)learning rate reduction during weight optimization,and(iv)not adopting an independent injection cycle as a validation set.Several numerical experiments were conducted,which demonstrated that the ML model can capture peaks in pressure and associated fault displacement that accompany an increase in fluid injection.The model also captured the decay in pressure and displacement during the injection shut-in period.Further,the ability of an ML model to highlight key changes in fault hydromechanical activation processes was investigated,which shows that ML can be used to monitor risk of fault activation and leakage during high pressure fluid injections.

文摘A Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM) Recurrent Neural Network(RNN) has driven tremendous improvements on an acoustic model based on Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM). However, these models based on a hybrid method require a forced aligned Hidden Markov Model(HMM) state sequence obtained from the GMM-based acoustic model. Therefore, it requires a long computation time for training both the GMM-based acoustic model and a deep learning-based acoustic model. In order to solve this problem, an acoustic model using CTC algorithm is proposed. CTC algorithm does not require the GMM-based acoustic model because it does not use the forced aligned HMM state sequence. However, previous works on a LSTM RNN-based acoustic model using CTC used a small-scale training corpus. In this paper, the LSTM RNN-based acoustic model using CTC is trained on a large-scale training corpus and its performance is evaluated. The implemented acoustic model has a performance of 6.18% and 15.01% in terms of Word Error Rate(WER) for clean speech and noisy speech, respectively. This is similar to a performance of the acoustic model based on the hybrid method.

文摘Focusing on the networked control system with long time-delays and data packet dropout,the problem of observerbased fault detection of the system is studied.According to conditions of data arrival of the controller,the state observers of the system are designed to detect faults when they occur in the system.When the system is normal,the observers system is modeled as an uncertain switched system.Based on the model,stability condition of the whole system is given.When conditions are satisfied,the system is asymptotically stable.When a fault occurs,the observers residual can change rapidly to detect the fault.A numerical example shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.

文摘To explore new operational forecasting methods of waves,a forecasting model for wave heights at three stations in the Bohai Sea has been developed.This model is based on long short-term memory(LSTM)neural network with sea surface wind and wave heights as training samples.The prediction performance of the model is evaluated,and the error analysis shows that when using the same set of numerically predicted sea surface wind as input,the prediction error produced by the proposed LSTM model at Sta.N01 is 20%,18%and 23%lower than the conventional numerical wave models in terms of the total root mean square error(RMSE),scatter index(SI)and mean absolute error(MAE),respectively.Particularly,for significant wave height in the range of 3–5 m,the prediction accuracy of the LSTM model is improved the most remarkably,with RMSE,SI and MAE all decreasing by 24%.It is also evident that the numbers of hidden neurons,the numbers of buoys used and the time length of training samples all have impact on the prediction accuracy.However,the prediction does not necessary improve with the increase of number of hidden neurons or number of buoys used.The experiment trained by data with the longest time length is found to perform the best overall compared to other experiments with a shorter time length for training.Overall,long short-term memory neural network was proved to be a very promising method for future development and applications in wave forecasting.
文摘A correct and timely fault diagnosis is important for improving the safety and reliability of chemical processes. With the advancement of big data technology, data-driven fault diagnosis methods are being extensively used and still have considerable potential. In recent years, methods based on deep neural networks have made significant breakthroughs, and fault diagnosis methods for industrial processes based on deep learning have attracted considerable research attention. Therefore, we propose a fusion deeplearning algorithm based on a fully convolutional neural network(FCN) to extract features and build models to correctly diagnose all types of faults. We use long short-term memory(LSTM) units to expand our proposed FCN so that our proposed deep learning model can better extract the time-domain features of chemical process data. We also introduce the attention mechanism into the model, aimed at highlighting the importance of features, which is significant for the fault diagnosis of chemical processes with many features. When applied to the benchmark Tennessee Eastman process, our proposed model exhibits impressive performance, demonstrating the effectiveness of the attention-based LSTM FCN in chemical process fault diagnosis.

文摘A multiple access protocol is proposed to greatly improve multiple access performance of wireless networks with long propagation delay. All the nodes with packets to send can make rapid successful reservation in access reservation mini-slots, which is adaptively adjusted according to current traffic load and idle channel resources. A Central Control Node (CCN) coordinates channel reservation and allocates on-demand channel resources to the successfully accessed nodes on two channels. Each node can employ only one handshake to accomplish each communication session, and transmit one or multiple data packets piggybacked with acknowledgment (ACK) information to one or multiple destination nodes in each frame until the end of their communication sessions, which greatly minimizes the impact of long propagation delay caused by handshakes and improves channel efficiency. Simulation results show that the proposed protocol obviously outperforms the Centralized Scheduling-based Medium Access Control (CSMAC) protocol, especially in the presence of long propagation delay.

文摘An accurate landslide displacement prediction is an important part of landslide warning system. Aiming at the dynamic characteristics of landslide evolution and the shortcomings of traditional static prediction models, this paper proposes a dynamic prediction model of landslide displacement based on singular spectrum analysis(SSA) and stack long short-term memory(SLSTM) network. The SSA is used to decompose the landslide accumulated displacement time series data into trend term and periodic term displacement subsequences. A cubic polynomial function is used to predict the trend term displacement subsequence, and the SLSTM neural network is used to predict the periodic term displacement subsequence. At the same time, the Bayesian optimization algorithm is used to determine that the SLSTM network input sequence length is 12 and the number of hidden layer nodes is 18. The SLSTM network is updated by adding predicted values to the training set to achieve dynamic displacement prediction. Finally, the accumulated landslide displacement is obtained by superimposing the predicted value of each displacement subsequence. The proposed model was verified on the Xintan landslide in Hubei Province, China. The results show that when predicting the displacement of the periodic term, the SLSTM network has higher prediction accuracy than the support vector machine(SVM) and auto regressive integrated moving average(ARIMA). The mean relative error(MRE) is reduced by 4.099% and 3.548% respectively, while the root mean square error(RMSE) is reduced by 5.830 mm and 3.854 mm respectively. It is concluded that the SLSTM network model can better simulate the dynamic characteristics of landslides.
文摘There are two technical challenges in predicting slope deformation.The first one is the random displacement,which could not be decomposed and predicted by numerically resolving the observed accumulated displacement and time series of a landslide.The second one is the dynamic evolution of a landslide,which could not be feasibly simulated simply by traditional prediction models.In this paper,a dynamic model of displacement prediction is introduced for composite landslides based on a combination of empirical mode decomposition with soft screening stop criteria(SSSC-EMD)and deep bidirectional long short-term memory(DBi-LSTM)neural network.In the proposed model,the time series analysis and SSSC-EMD are used to decompose the observed accumulated displacements of a slope into three components,viz.trend displacement,periodic displacement,and random displacement.Then,by analyzing the evolution pattern of a landslide and its key factors triggering landslides,appropriate influencing factors are selected for each displacement component,and DBi-LSTM neural network to carry out multi-datadriven dynamic prediction for each displacement component.An accumulated displacement prediction has been obtained by a summation of each component.For accuracy verification and engineering practicability of the model,field observations from two known landslides in China,the Xintan landslide and the Bazimen landslide were collected for comparison and evaluation.The case study verified that the model proposed in this paper can better characterize the"stepwise"deformation characteristics of a slope.As compared with long short-term memory(LSTM)neural network,support vector machine(SVM),and autoregressive integrated moving average(ARIMA)model,DBi-LSTM neural network has higher accuracy in predicting the periodic displacement of slope deformation,with the mean absolute percentage error reduced by 3.063%,14.913%,and 13.960%respectively,and the root mean square error reduced by 1.951 mm,8.954 mm and 7.790 mm respectively.Conclusively,this model not only has high prediction accuracy but also is more stable,which can provide new insight for practical landslide prevention and control engineering.
文摘Holter usually monitors electrocardiogram(ECG)signals for more than 24 hours to capture short-lived cardiac abnormalities.In view of the large amount of Holter data and the fact that the normal part accounts for the majority,it is reasonable to design an algorithm that can automatically eliminate normal data segments as much as possible without missing any abnormal data segments,and then take the left segments to the doctors or the computer programs for further diagnosis.In this paper,we propose a preliminary abnormal segment screening method for Holter data.Based on long short-term memory(LSTM)networks,the prediction model is established and trained with the normal data of a monitored object.Then,on the basis of kernel density estimation,we learn the distribution law of prediction errors after applying the trained LSTM model to the regular data.Based on these,the preliminary abnormal ECG segment screening analysis is carried out without R wave detection.Experiments on the MIT-BIH arrhythmia database show that,under the condition of ensuring that no abnormal point is missed,53.89% of normal segments can be effectively obviated.This work can greatly reduce the workload of subsequent further processing.
文摘In dense pedestrian tracking,frequent object occlusions and close distances between objects cause difficulty when accurately estimating object trajectories.In this study,a conditional random field tracking model is established by using a visual long short term memory network in the three-dimensional(3D)space and the motion estimations jointly performed on object trajectory segments.Object visual field information is added to the long short term memory network to improve the accuracy of the motion related object pair selection and motion estimation.To address the uncertainty of the length and interval of trajectory segments,a multimode long short term memory network is proposed for the object motion estimation.The tracking performance is evaluated using the PETS2009 dataset.The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves better performance than the tracking methods based on the independent motion estimation.
文摘Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)participate in a variety of biological processes and diseases.However,the expression and function of lncRNAs after spinal cord injury has not been extensively analyzed.In this study of right side hemisection of the spinal cord at T10,we detected the expression of lncRNAs in the proximal tissue of T10 lamina at different time points and found 445 lncRNAs and 6522 mRNA were differentially expressed.We divided the differentially expressed lncRNAs into 26 expression trends and analyzed Profile 25 and Profile 2,the two expression trends with the most significant difference.Our results showed that the expression of 68 lncRNAs in Profile 25 rose first and remained high 3 days post-injury.There were 387 mRNAs co-expressed with the 68 lncRNAs in Profile 25.The co-expression network showed that the co-expressed genes were mainly enriched in cell division,inflammatory response,FcγR-mediated cell phagocytosis signaling pathway,cell cycle and apoptosis.The expression of 56 lncRNAs in Profile2 first declined and remained low after 3 days post-injury.There were 387 mRNAs co-expressed with the 56 lncRNAs in Profile 2.The co-expression network showed that the co-expressed genes were mainly enriched in the chemical synaptic transmission process and in the signaling pathway of neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction.The results provided the expression and regulatory network of the main lncRNAs after spinal cord injury and clarified their co-expressed gene enriched biological processes and signaling pathways.These findings provide a new direction for the clinical treatment of spinal cord injury.

文摘Speaker separation in complex acoustic environment is one of challenging tasks in speech separation.In practice,speakers are very often unmoving or moving slowly in normal communication.In this case,the spatial features among the consecutive speech frames become highly correlated such that it is helpful for speaker separation by providing additional spatial information.To fully exploit this information,we design a separation system on Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)with long short-term memory(LSTM)which effectively learns the temporal dynamics of spatial features.In detail,a LSTM-based speaker separation algorithm is proposed to extract the spatial features in each time-frequency(TF)unit and form the corresponding feature vector.Then,we treat speaker separation as a supervised learning problem,where a modified ideal ratio mask(IRM)is defined as the training function during LSTM learning.Simulations show that the proposed system achieves attractive separation performance in noisy and reverberant environments.Specifically,during the untrained acoustic test with limited priors,e.g.,unmatched signal to noise ratio(SNR)and reverberation,the proposed LSTM based algorithm can still outperforms the existing DNN based method in the measures of PESQ and STOI.It indicates our method is more robust in untrained conditions.

文摘BACKGROUND Because of the powerful abilities of self-learning and handling complex biological information,artificial neural network(ANN)models have been widely applied to disease diagnosis,imaging analysis,and prognosis prediction.However,there has been no trained preoperative ANN(preope-ANN)model to preoperatively predict the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer(GC).AIM To establish a neural network model that can predict long-term survival of GC patients before surgery to evaluate the tumor condition before the operation.METHODS The clinicopathological data of 1608 GC patients treated from January 2011 to April 2015 at the Department of Gastric Surgery,Fujian Medical University Union Hospital were analyzed retrospectively.The patients were randomly divided into a training set(70%)for establishing a preope-ANN model and a testing set(30%).The prognostic evaluation ability of the preope-ANN model was compared with that of the American Joint Commission on Cancer(8th edition)clinical TNM(cTNM)and pathological TNM(pTNM)staging through the receiver operating characteristic curve,Akaike information criterion index,Harrell's C index,and likelihood ratio chi-square.RESULTS We used the variables that were statistically significant factors for the 3-year overall survival as input-layer variables to develop a preope-ANN in the training set.The survival curves within each score of the preope-ANN had good discrimination(P<0.05).Comparing the preope-ANN model,cTNM,and pTNM in both the training and testing sets,the preope-ANN model was superior to cTNM in predictive discrimination(C index),predictive homogeneity(likelihood ratio chi-square),and prediction accuracy(area under the curve).The prediction efficiency of the preope-ANN model is similar to that of pTNM.CONCLUSION The preope-ANN model can accurately predict the long-term survival of GC patients,and its predictive efficiency is not inferior to that of pTNM stage.

文摘Purpose–The traction cable is paralleled with the existing traction network of electrified railway through transverse connecting line to form the scheme of long distance power supply for the traction network.This paper aims to study the scheme composition and power supply distance(PSD)of the scheme.Design/methodology/approach–Based on the structure of parallel traction network(referred to as“cable traction network(CTN)”),the power supply modes(PSMs)are divided into cableþdirect PSM and cableþautotransformer(AT)PSM(including Japanese mode,French mode and new mode).Taking cableþJapanese AT PSM as an example,the scheme of long distance power supply for CTN under the PSMs of co-phase and out-of-phase power supply are designed.On the basis of establishing the equivalent circuit model and the chain circuit model of CTN,taking the train working voltage as the constraint condition,and based on the power flow calculation of multiple train loads,the calculation formula and process for determining the PSD of CTN are given.The impedance and PSD of CTN under the cableþAT PSM are simulated and analyzed,and a certain line is taken as an example to compare the scheme design.Findings–Results show that the equivalent impedance of CTN under the cableþAT PSM is smaller,and the PSD is about 2.5 times of that under the AT PSM,which can effectively increase the PSD and the flexibility of external power supply location.Originality/value–The research content can effectively improve the PSD of traction power supply system and has important reference value for the engineering application of the scheme.
文摘According to the characteristics of remote welding, including multiple parameters, real-time, and reliability of long wire transmitting, a distributing computer control scheme is adopted. A serial communication network between the master and the slavery computers is constructed. A synchro-control network among slavery computers is designed. Uniform message format and communication protocols are made. Considering intensive high-frequency noises at the welding zone, a quadruple check mode, including data sum check, parameter type check, welding parameters check and Exclusive OR ( XOR ) check, is adopted to assure the reliability of communication among multiple computers. Based on disturbing circuit, common circuit and sensitive circuit, the measures are brought forward to ensure the stabilization of communication network of remote arc welding by analyzing the wiring principle of anti-high-frequency interference of system bus, signal wires and shielding twisted-pair(STP) wires. The results provide the theoretical and practical references for the manufacture of remote welding robot and the quality of remote welding.
文摘The approach of traffic abnormality detection of network resource allocation attack did not have reliable signatures to depict abnormality and identify them. However, it is crucial for us to detect attacks accurately. The technique that we adopted is inspired by long range dependence ideas. We use the number of packet arrivals of a flow in fixed-length time intervals as the signal and attempt to extend traffic invariant “self-similarity”. We validate the effectiveness of the approach with simulation and trace analysis.

文摘In this paper,the recurrent neural network structure of a bidirectional long shortterm memory network(Bi-LSTM)with special memory cells that store information is used to characterize the deep features of the variation pattern between logging and seismic data.A mapping relationship model between high-frequency logging data and low-frequency seismic data is established via nonlinear mapping.The seismic waveform is infinitely approximated using the logging curve in the low-frequency band to obtain a nonlinear mapping model of this scale,which then stepwise approach the logging curve in the high-frequency band.Finally,a seismic-inversion method of nonlinear mapping multilevel well–seismic matching based on the Bi-LSTM network is developed.The characteristic of this method is that by applying the multilevel well–seismic matching process,the seismic data are stepwise matched to the scale range that is consistent with the logging curve.Further,the matching operator at each level can be stably obtained to effectively overcome the problems that occur in the well–seismic matching process,such as the inconsistency in the scale of two types of data,accuracy in extracting the seismic wavelet of the well-side seismic traces,and multiplicity of solutions.Model test and practical application demonstrate that this method improves the vertical resolution of inversion results,and at the same time,the boundary and the lateral characteristics of the sand body are well maintained to improve the accuracy of thin-layer sand body prediction and achieve an improved practical application effect.

文摘To address the shortcomings of single-step decision making in the existing deep reinforcement learning based unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)real-time path planning problem,a real-time UAV path planning algorithm based on long shortterm memory(RPP-LSTM)network is proposed,which combines the memory characteristics of recurrent neural network(RNN)and the deep reinforcement learning algorithm.LSTM networks are used in this algorithm as Q-value networks for the deep Q network(DQN)algorithm,which makes the decision of the Q-value network has some memory.Thanks to LSTM network,the Q-value network can use the previous environmental information and action information which effectively avoids the problem of single-step decision considering only the current environment.Besides,the algorithm proposes a hierarchical reward and punishment function for the specific problem of UAV real-time path planning,so that the UAV can more reasonably perform path planning.Simulation verification shows that compared with the traditional feed-forward neural network(FNN)based UAV autonomous path planning algorithm,the RPP-LSTM proposed in this paper can adapt to more complex environments and has significantly improved robustness and accuracy when performing UAV real-time path planning.

文摘Point-of-interest(POI)recommendations in location-based social networks(LBSNs)have developed rapidly by incorporating feature information and deep learning methods.However,most studies have failed to accurately reflect different users’preferences,in particular,the short-term preferences of inactive users.To better learn user preferences,in this study,we propose a long-short-term-preference-based adaptive successive POI recommendation(LSTP-ASR)method by combining trajectory sequence processing,long short-term preference learning,and spatiotemporal context.First,the check-in trajectory sequences are adaptively divided into recent and historical sequences according to a dynamic time window.Subsequently,an adaptive filling strategy is used to expand the recent check-in sequences of users with inactive check-in behavior using those of similar active users.We further propose an adaptive learning model to accurately extract long short-term preferences of users to establish an efficient successive POI recommendation system.A spatiotemporal-context-based recurrent neural network and temporal-context-based long short-term memory network are used to model the users’recent and historical checkin trajectory sequences,respectively.Extensive experiments on the Foursquare and Gowalla datasets reveal that the proposed method outperforms several other baseline methods in terms of three evaluation metrics.More specifically,LSTP-ASR outperforms the previously best baseline method(RTPM)with a 17.15%and 20.62%average improvement on the Foursquare and Gowalla datasets in terms of the Fβmetric,respectively.
