Metal Chlorides Supported Solid Catalysts for F-C Acylations of Arenes

A series of metal chlorides supported solid catalysts were prepared by simple wet impregnation method. Their catalytic performances for Friedel-Crafts acylation of toluene with benzoyl chloride were evaluated and the excellent results were obtained over FeC13/SiO2. These catalysts were characterized by BET, NH3-TPD and FT-IR of pyridine adsorption to clarify the structure-activity relationship. It was found that FeC13/SiO2 has larger pore size and pore volume than other catalysts, which increased the accessibility of the catalyst. In addition, FeC13/SiO2 ex- hibited higher molar ratio of Lewis acid sites and Brtpnsted acid sites, which might be another reason for the in- crease of toluene conversion. Furthermore, the reaction parameters, including temperature, time and molar ratio, were optimized. Under the optimized conditions, 91.2% conversion and 82.0% selectivity were obtained. Mean- while, the generality of the catalyst was demonstrated by the acylations of alkyl substituted aromatics. Finally, the catalyst was reused for four runs with slight loss in catalytic activity, which attributed to the drain of the active component. 展开更多

The reactions of imidates including cyclic imidates, oxazolines and dihydrooxazine with phenoxyacetyl chloride, were investigated. The results indicate that diacylamide or acylamide was generated from N-phenoxyacetylated imidates, while cyclic imidate oxazolines underwent a ring-opening reaction to yield different amides depending on the reaction conditions. Even under non-nucleophilic conditions, no β-lactam-fused oxazoline derivative was obtained. 展开更多

The plastification modification of poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) with the long-chain linear polyester (LP) synthesized by linear dodecanedioic acid (DC12) or tetradecanedioic acid (DC14) with different diols is investigated. The processing characteristics, mechanical properties and extraction property of the PVC/LP blends in different solvents (xylene, cyclohexane, ethanol) were also studied in detail. All results were compared with that of the PVC plasticized with dioctyl phthalate (DOP). The results show that the molecular weight, molecular structure and loading of LP greatly influence the mechanical properties of the PVC/LP blends. The processability and the mechanical properties of PVC plasticized by LP are comparable to those of the corresponding PVC/DOP blends. However, the PVC/LP blends posses much better migration resistance property than the corresponding PVC/DOP blends, which makes the long-chain linear polyester become a very good plasticizer candidate for PVC industry. 展开更多

As a kind of versatile synthons, α-oxoketene dithioacetals have found their wide utilizations in organic synthesis. Owing to the interaction between two electron donating groups(RS) and an electron withdrawing group in the α position, the α-carbon atom of α-EWG ketene S,S-acetals shows a high nucleophilicity. In this paper, the reactions of α-acetyl cyclic ketendithioacetals with a series of acyl chlorides were performed and a new route to the C~C bond formation reaction at the α-carbon atom of α-oxoketene dithioacetals was described. By the above reactions, α-acetyl-α-acyl ketendithioacetals were prepared with good to high yields(55%~82%) via the acylation of α-acetyl cyclic ketendithioacetals at the α-carbon atom of α-acetyl ketendithioacetals mediated by titanium tetrachloride in dry dichloromethane at reflux temperature. The mechanism of the acylation between compound 1 and acyl chloride was proposed, which belongs to nucleophilic addition-elimination reaction. 展开更多
