Taking the wireless enamel(wireless enamel refers to make enamel works without filigree)production technique in jewelry practice course as the research object,combined with years of enamel teaching experience in the Gemmological Institute of China University of Geosciences(Wuhan),this study expounds the theoretical class,design preparation,creative idea and technique practice application from the course teaching objectives and the implementation,which also emphasizes the practical improvability of students’design practice ability and innovative thinking ability.During the period,it focuses on the core processes,such as wireless enamel glaze method,object correction,firing time,composite application and system integration,to help students solve the key and difficult problems in the wireless enamel firing process.

Multi-Dimensional Thoughts on English Classroom Teaching Techniques

English Language teaching involves various English teaching techniques in terms of listening,speaking,reading,writ ing and the like skills.Traditional teaching ways are mostly discussed from that standpoint.Here,some new English classroom teaching techniques are introduced and evaluated in a dimensional perspective,which relate to such elements as the students,the teacher,classroom organization and management,and instructional strategies,etc.It makes English classroom teaching more effec tive,thus improve English classroom teaching results.So,it’s advisable for English teachers to reconsider and reevaluate their teaching strategy and result in language classroom from a new multi-dimensional angle in order to improve English teaching effi ciency.

The Effective Techniques of Dictation-based Vocabulary Teaching in English Classes

Dictation is a traditional but still widely applied method to teach language vocabulary,grammar structures and other language skills.Because of the teachers’negative opinions on dictation and improper ways of dictation conduction,dictation hasn’t received a satisfying expectation in English vocabulary teaching in China.This research attempts to find out some innovative dictation activities and some effective techniques which can help English teachers in China conduct dictation in these activities to promote the efficiency of language vocabulary teaching.

Development of a Sourcebook Using Neuro-Linguistic Programming Technique in Teaching English as a Second Language

This paper is an analysis of a sourcebook using Neuro-Linguistic Programming technique. The main objective is to determine the effectiveness of the sourcebook in teaching English as a second language. Specifically, it aimed to know the visual materials, aural presentations, and semi-abstract thoughts that would encourage the learners to actively participate in classroom discussions; the methods to be adapted; and the steps involved in the preparation of the sourcebook. It was found that most student-respondents strongly react to pictures, to feelings and sensations, and to ideas. The sourcebook must be prepared in the form of a content-based instructional material. It must include drills that would give ample approaches to develop among the learners good sense of collaborative learning, integrative global language proficiency, and contextual communicative competence in meaningful situations. Moreover, the sourcebook must use both print and non-print teaching aids as supporting materials.

How to Apply Student-centered Teaching Techniques in a Large Class

It is very common to have a class of 50 or more students in Chinese schools, and teaching a foreign language effectively to a large class is really hard work. In order to change the teacher-centered teaching model into the student-centered one, Teachers should keep students' needs, interests, and learning styles in mind, apply several kinds of teaching techniques, organize different classroom activities and encourage, praise and appreciate both students' success and learning process all the time. If teachers place more responsibility in the hands of students, serve as "presenter or facilitator of knowledge" instead of "source of all knowledge", they can greatly motivate students to learn the language in a very active, cooperative and effective way. After all, people learn by doing, not only by watching and listening.

Innovative Teaching Approach Based on Finite Element Technique in Material Mechanics for Vocational Education

This paper proposed an innovative teaching approach based on finite element technique(FET)to improve the understanding of material mechanics.A teaching experiment was conducted using pure bending deformation of a beam as an example,and the deformation and stress distribution of the beam were analyzed using FET.The results showed that using color stress nephograms and color U nephograms can improve students’learning outcomes in mechanics classroom.The high levels of satisfaction and interest in incorporating new techniques into the classroom suggest that there is a need to explore and develop innovative teaching methods in mechanics and related fields.This approach may inspire educators to develop more effective ways of teaching material mechanics,and our research can contribute to the advancement of mechanics education.

The Relationship between Interchangeability Standards and Precision Design in Teaching a Course on Interchangeability and Measurement Techniques

This article discusses some views on the relationship between carrying out and applying standards and precision design and the teaching of a course on interchangeability and measurement techniques. It points out that while emphasizing precision design, we should not underrate the significance of interchangeability and standardization. Although there are presently many teaching models available for such courses, each course should be designed separately to preserve its systematic character and integrality. As well, the development of students' abilities in precision design and the application of standards should be strengthened in experimental lessons within each course.

Comparative Approaches in Translation Teaching

In order to pursue the ideal criterion of ＂faithfulness, expressiveness, and elegance＂ initiated by the famous translator YAN-fu in translation and ＂accuracy, smoothness, and quickness＂ in interpretation in China, people have summarized some techniques to help the process. And generally speaking, trainers or teachers will introduce those techniques to the students respectively. Yet in this paper firstly, by taking examples from some of the text books and a few famous conferences in China, it makes a comparative analysis of the different techniques in translation and interpretation. The comparative analysis explores the most three common techniques： amplification, omission, and repetition in translation and interpretation, and draws the conclusion that translation is more formal, more rigorous, while interpretation is comparetively simple and flexiable. Based on the above analysis, then the paper suggests that the comparative analysis approaches should be used during the teaching process instead of the traditional one-way teaching.

Teaching Large Classes： Problems and Prospects

There is no global definition of what constitutes a large class. The literature, for example, shows large classes as ranging between 25-30 learners in the United Kingdom, more than 35 learners in the US, and 60 or more learners in developing countries. The current study attempted to establish what instructional strategies could be introduced for improvement of teaching learning in the prevailing large classes. A review of research on teaching of large classes highlighted challenges that both teachers and students experience. Effective teaching and learning throughout the study was conceptualized as that situated within a social constructivist framework. This is a descriptive study in design. The literature component of the study utilized a content analysis methodology with a view to identifying strategies of practical application and potential to facilitate learning in large classes, such as Active Learning, Collaborativb Learning, Cooperative Learning, Inductive Teaching Methods, and novel practices including issues on environment for change are suggested. The empirical data indicated that teachers had devised strategies to cope with the large classes, but these needed further development. The implication for these findings is the need for teacher professional development through reflective practice.
