Intrauterine Laser Therapy (LT) can be powerful in selling endometrial cell proliferation, therefore enhancing the achievement of assisted reproductive techniques (ART). The contemporary look at aimed to research the effectiveness of effective intrauterine lasers in growing endometrial thickness and the achievement of being pregnant rate. Materials and Methods: In the current clinical randomized trial (RTC) study, the infertile women (20 - 42 years old) referred to the infertility clinic in 2023-2024 who were candidates for IVF treatment with recurrent implantation failure (RIF) history were included. The patients were divided into two main groups: the intervention group;low level laser therapy (LLLT) after hormone administration) (n = 52) and the control group (hormone administration without LT) (n = 52). Conventional treatments primarily focus on the prevention of further damage to the brain parenchyma, while failing to address the already existent symptoms. Previous clinical studies have shown that Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) can significantly reduce pain and induce temporary vasodilation in capillaries, which the authors hypothesize can be used to improve the quality of life in TBI patients by treating their current symptoms, which are predominately migraine-like headaches. This case report illustrates the use of LLLT in the treatment of a patient with a TBI and the great clinical success achieved in the reduction of pain, as measured by VAS—achievable within five treatments of 10 minutes in duration. 展开更多

Low-level laser therapy( LLLT) has been shown to be a promising tool for bone neoformation. This study aimed to analyze the effect of LLLT on calvaria bone defects of ovariectomized rats using stereology. Methods : Fifty-four Wistar rats were subjected to bilateral ovariectomy, and bone defects were created in calvaria after 150 days. The animals were divided into nine groups(n = ?6 per group), and 24 hours after the bone defects were created they received three, six or 12 sessions of LLLT at 0, 20 or 30 J/cm 2, using a 780-nm low-intensity GaAlAs laser. One-way ANOVA followed by Tukey ' s post hoc test was used for data processing. A difference of P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. The parameters evaluated were osteocyte density( Nv_(ost)), total osteocyte number( Nto ost), trabecular surface density( Sv_t), and trabecular surface area( Sa_t). Results : Data obtained showed that Nto ost, Sv t, and Sa t in group G2 rats were significantly different from G1(0 J/cm^2)( P < 0.05). Compared to group G4, G5 presented higher values for the parameters Sv t and Sa t, and G6 presented significantly higher values for almost all the analyzed parameters( Nv _(ost), Nto_(ost), Sv_t, and Sa t)( P < 0.05). Compared to group G7, G8 showed a higher value only for the parameter Sa t, and G9 showed significantly higher values for parameters Nv ost, Nto ost, Sv_t, and Sa_t. Conclusion : We conclude that LLLT stimulated bone neoformation and contributed to an increase in the total number of osteocytes, especially with a laser energy density of 30 J/cm^2 given for six and 12 sessions. 展开更多

Currently, treatment options for this life-threatening disease are limited. Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) has been found to modulate biological activity. The aim of the present study was to investigate the possible beneficial effects of laser application to stem cells in the bone marrow, on the kidneys of rats that had undergone ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI). IRI was induced by occlusion of the renal artery to 3- and 7-month-old rats for 15 or 30 minutes. In an additional experiment IRI was applied to both kidneys for 20 min each in 2-3-month-old rats. Rats were then divided randomly into two groups of control and laser-treated. Laser therapy (Ga-Al-As 810 nm, 200 mW output for 2 min) was applied to the bone marrow 1 and 7 days post-IRI to the kidneys, and rats were sacrificed 2 weeks later. Histomorphometry and immunohistochemistry were performed on kidney sections and blood markers for kidney function. Quantitative histomorphometric analysis revealed a reduction in dilatation of the renal tubules, restored structural integrity of the renal tubules, and reduced necrosis in the laser-treated rats as compared to the control, non-laser-irradiated group. C-kit positive cell density in kidneys post-IRI and laser-treatment was significantly (p = 0.015) 3.2-fold higher compared to the control group. Creatinine and blood urea nitrogen content were significantly lower in the laser-treated rats as compared to control. It is concluded that LLLT application to the bone marrow (BM) causes a significant increase in the density of mesenchymal stem cells in the kidneys post-IRI, probably by induction of stem cells in the BM, which subsequently migrate to the IRI kidney, significantly reducing the pathological features of the kidney and increasing kidney function post IRI. 展开更多

In this study, we investigated the hypothesis that photobiostimulation by low-energy laser therapy (LLLT) applied to the bone marrow (BM) of myocardial infarcted rats may attenuate the scarring processes that follow myocardial infarction (MI). Wistar rats underwent experimental MI. LLLT (Ga-Al-As diode laser) was applied to the BM of the exposed tibia at different time intervals post-MI (4 hrs, 48 hrs and 5 days). Sham-operated infarcted rats served as control. Infarct size was significantly reduced (55%) in the laser-treated rats as compared to the control non-treated rats, at 2 weeks post-MI. A significant 3-fold increase was observed in the density of desmin immunopositive stained cells 14 days post-MI in the infarcted area of the laser-treated rats as compared to the non-laser-treated controls. The electron microscopy from the control infarcted rat hearts revealed a typical interphase area between the intact myocardium and the infarcted area, with conspicuous fibroblasts with collagen deposition dispersed among them. In rats that were laser treated (to BM), the interphase zone demonstrated cells with different intracellular structures. There was also a significant increase in the percentage of c-kit positive cells and macrophages in the circulating blood of the laser treated rats as compared to control non treated ones. In the majority of the cells clusters of myofibrils anchored to well-developed Z-lines and structures resembling the morphological characteristics of mature intact cardiomyocytes were evident. In conclusion, LLLT to the BM of rats post-MI induces cardiogenesis mainly at the borders of the infarcted area in the heart. 展开更多

AIM: To validate the protocol described here to be used in future clinical trials related to the effect of laser therapy on dental pulp. METHODS: Histologically treated samples from eight human healthy premolar teeth obtained from the middle root level were distributed in four groups: group 1(G1) absolute control; group 2(G2) only laser irradiation; group 3(G3) exposed only to orthodontics; and group 4(G4) treated with orthodontics and laser. Laser treatment was performed at 830 nm wavelength, 100 mW(energy 80 J/cm2, 2.2 J), for 22 s in the vestibular surface and 22 s in the palatal surface, 1 mm away from the dental root mucosa. Three staining methods were performed: hematoxylin-eosin(HE), Masson's Trichrome method and Gomori's method.RESULTS: The pulp histology parameters were evaluated and the results classified in to 3 parts: an inflammatory response, soft tissue response(dental pulp) and hard tissue response(dentin and predentin). There was no inflammation(chronic or acute) in any of the evaluated groups. The zones of pulp necrosis were found in one premolar of G3 and in one of G4; in groups G2 and G4 there was higher angiogenesis than in the other two groups. G4 group presented the highest level of vascularization. A reduced nerve density was observed in G3. A G2 specimen showed increased nerve density. A higher rate of calcification was observed in G1 compared to G2. Denticles, either real or false, were observed in G1, G2 and G3. Sclerosis of dentin and focal dentin loss was observed among all the groups. Secondary dentin was present in one sample in G1 and G2. A necrosis zone was found in one sample of G3 and G4. No differences between groups were observed in the odontoblast irregularity layer but the layer was wider in the group treated with laser only. A notable difference was detected in reduction of the cell-free layer between the groups G1 and G4. The findings in pulp tissue favor its adaptative response against dental movement induced by orthodontics. No definitive conclusions may be derived as this is a pilot study. CONCLUSION: The protocol described here was shown to be an effective method to evaluate changes in dental pulp submitted to low level laser in teeth under orthodontic movement. 展开更多

Photobiomodulation with Super-Pulsed Laser Shows Efficacy for Stroke and Aphasia: Case Studies

Background: Brain disorders have become more and more common today, due to both the aging population and the ever-expanding sports community. However, a new therapeutic technology called photobiomodulation (PBM) is giving hope to thousands of individuals in need. Traumatic brain injury (TBI), dementia, post traumatic stress (PTSD) and attention deficit (ADD) disorders are in many cases quickly and safely improved by PBM. PBM employs red or near-infrared (NIR) light (600 - 1100 nm) to stimulate healing, protect tissue from dying, increase mitochondrial function, improve blood flow, and tissue oxygenation. PBM can also act to reduce edema, increase antioxidants, decrease inflammation, protect against apoptosis, and modulate the microglial activation state. All these effects can occur when light is delivered to the head, and can be beneficial in both acute and chronic brain conditions. Methods: In this case series, we used a high power, FDA-approved superpulsed laser system applied to the head to treat four chronic stroke patients. Patients received as few as three 6 - 9 minute treatments over a one-week period. The follow up time varied, but in one case was two years. Results: Patients showed significant improvement in their speech and verbal skills. Improvements were also noticed in walking ability, limb movement, less numbness, and better vision. Conclusion: The use of PBM in stroke rehabilitation deserves to be tested in controlled clinical trials, because this common condition has no approved pharmaceutical treatment at present. 展开更多

Objective: The aim of this survey is to evaluate the effect of a new developed laser pen as a home care device for patients’ pain reduction with recurrent aphthous stomatitis. Background data: Recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS) is one of the most common and painful ulcers in the oral cavity. Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) has been used successfully for reducing pain and healing time in comparison with corticosteroids and placebo in some studies. But these treatments are done in the clinics and it seems that there is no report of the laser treatment as a home care device up to this study. Methods: This was a prospective, randomized trial pilot study. Thirty patients with RAS were divided into three similar groups. The group one (n = 10) was treated with a diode laser, 660 nm, 40 mw, continuous wave, 1.2 J, 6 J/cm2, for five consecutive days (twice per day, 30 seconds each session). The second group (n = 10) was treated with a topical triamcinolone (adcortyl in orabase) ointment four times per day and the third group (n = 10) was treated with placebo (red light pen) the same way as Group 1. All the patients were evaluated with a Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) before and after treatment on the consecutive days. The data was analysed by one way ANOVA and PostHoc tests. Results: The results show that the laser pen and triamcinolon in orabase ointment have similar results and both have better results than placebo in the control of the recurrent aphthous stomatitis pain (p value: 0.001). Conclusion: In this clinical pilot study the laser pen as a home care device seems to be useful for the treatment of RAS. 展开更多

背景:针对骨缺损传统修复方法的局限性,干细胞广泛应用于再生医学的研究。化学性因子是当前的研究热点,但是近年来的研究证实,国内外应用物理因素调控干细胞分化的研究不断深入,物理因子联合生物支架在骨组织工程中为解决骨缺损修复难... 背景:针对骨缺损传统修复方法的局限性,干细胞广泛应用于再生医学的研究。化学性因子是当前的研究热点,但是近年来的研究证实,国内外应用物理因素调控干细胞分化的研究不断深入,物理因子联合生物支架在骨组织工程中为解决骨缺损修复难题提供了一种新的思路和方法,具有良好的发展前景。目的:就物理因子如电磁场、超声等对干细胞成骨分化的分子机制以及信号通路的调控、在骨组织工程中应用的可行性等方面做一总结。方法:应用计算机检索中国知网和PubMed数据库中近20年的相关文献,在标题和摘要中以“干细胞,骨缺损,成骨分化,电磁场,超声,冲击波,低强度激光,机械力,骨组织工程”或“stem cell,osteoporosis,osteogenic differentiation,Electromagnetic Fields,Ultrasound,Bone Tissue Engineering”为检索词进行检索,对相关文章94篇进行综述分析。结果与结论:(1)物理因子作为一种无创、非接触的辅助疗法对骨组织工程有着显著影响,在调控干细胞的成骨分化、促进细胞的增殖以及在骨工程支架内的生存能力方面有着积极作用。(2)除了激活信号通路和成骨基因转录外,物理因子还可以改善血管化、增加支架中形成的骨的体积、面积和厚度,可以促进骨整合,提高骨支架再生健康骨组织的成功率。(3)然而,将物理因子用于骨组织工程的研究均采用不同的实验条件,如支架类型、细胞类型及干预条件等,无法直接进行比较以确定最佳参数设置,在临床应用中,这些不同干预对促进骨折愈合的有效性研究结果也缺乏一致性,因此未来还需要进一步确定物理因子用于骨组织工程的最佳参数。(4)总体而言,物理因子作为一种理想的辅助疗法,在与各种生物材料结合并应用于骨组织工程方面具有巨大的潜力。 展开更多

背景:间充质干细胞是从多种组织中分离出来的多能基质细胞,能够在特定的条件下分化为成骨细胞,光生物调节作为一种外部刺激能够单独或与其他诱导物联合使用加速间充质干细胞成骨分化的进程,从而为解决系列骨疾病提供新的思路。目的:综... 背景:间充质干细胞是从多种组织中分离出来的多能基质细胞,能够在特定的条件下分化为成骨细胞,光生物调节作为一种外部刺激能够单独或与其他诱导物联合使用加速间充质干细胞成骨分化的进程,从而为解决系列骨疾病提供新的思路。目的:综述光生物调节诱导间充质干细胞成骨分化的相关研究及机制,旨在为选用间充质干细胞作为种子细胞的骨组织工程奠定理论基础,并提出一些发展方向的建议。方法:检索中国知网、PubMed及Wed of Science数据库近年来发表的相关文献,中文检索词为“光生物调节,低功率激光,低水平激光,发光二极管,间充质干细胞,成骨分化,生物材料”;英文检索词为“Photobiomodulation,low level laser(light),light-emitting diode(LED),mesenchymal stem cell,osteogenic differentiation,Biomaterials”,最终纳入88篇文献进行分析。结果与结论:①以低水平激光和发光二极管为代表的光生物调节对于促进间充质干细胞的增殖与分化有着积极的影响。②光生物调节诱导间充质干细胞成骨分化的可行性已在细胞实验、动物实验中得到验证,一方面,光生物调节能够通过激活相关信号通路、上调成骨标志物的表达促进干细胞在体外扩增与分化;另一方面,光生物调节可以提高系统移植的干细胞体内存活率及归巢效应,缩短骨缺损愈合时间。但是光生物调节存在双相剂量效应,各项研究中激光参数、实验环境及细胞类型等要素参差不齐,使得研究结果缺乏一致性,难以推广。③光生物调节可以与生物材料、其他物理因子及药物联合使用加速干细胞成骨分化的进程。④总之,光生物调节因其无创、高效且无明显副反应等优势在医疗领域的应用逐渐广泛;近年来,其在骨组织工程中的作用也逐渐凸显,为骨缺损等疾病的治疗提供了新策略,后续研究应进一步探索光生物调节的标准化治疗参数。 展开更多

背景:激光疗法是一种无创、无痛的治疗手段,由于它操作简单和非侵入性的特点,被认为是治疗骨关节炎的适用方法。目前,激光疗法对组织的作用机制尚不明确,并且其临床应用的研究结果仍存在争议。目的:回顾总结激光疗法治疗膝骨关节炎在细... 背景:激光疗法是一种无创、无痛的治疗手段,由于它操作简单和非侵入性的特点,被认为是治疗骨关节炎的适用方法。目前,激光疗法对组织的作用机制尚不明确,并且其临床应用的研究结果仍存在争议。目的:回顾总结激光疗法治疗膝骨关节炎在细胞水平、动物实验和临床疗效方面的最新研究进展,探讨激光介导多途径生物效应的可能机制,从而为进一步研究激光治疗膝骨关节炎提供理论基础。方法:在中国知网、万方数据、维普和PubMed数据库对2018-2023年发表的有关激光疗法治疗膝骨关节炎的文献进行检索,以“激光疗法,低强度激光疗法,高强度激光疗法,光生物调节,膝关节骨关节炎,软骨细胞”为中文检索词,以“laser therapy,low level laser therapy,high level laser therapy,photobiomodulation,knee osteoarthritis,chondrocytes”为英文检索词。加上手工检索的14篇文献,最终纳入70篇文献进行综述。结果与结论:(1)激光疗法治疗膝骨关节炎主要分为高强度激光和低强度激光两种类型,激光参数和治疗方案的不同会对激光疗效产生直接影响;在使用适当的参数时,低强度激光在细胞实验、动物模型以及临床疗效方面都显示出积极的作用;高强度激光在膝骨关节炎治疗中的研究较少,但一些初步的临床研究结果显示出积极的效果;(2)细胞实验表明,低强度激光可促进软骨细胞增殖和软骨基质合成,从而降低炎症反应;(3)动物实验表明,低强度激光可以减少促炎症因子的释放,促进软骨基质合成,抑制基质降解,有效改善软骨组织的修复过程;低强度激光还能减轻膝骨关节炎过程中的氧化应激损伤,缓解疼痛;(4)在临床试验中,低强度激光和高强度激光均可以减轻患者疼痛,改善功能活动;激光疗法与运动治疗方式联合使用可能会提高治疗效果;(5)激光可能通过光生物效应或热力学效应影响细胞内的信号传导和细胞功能,为激光促进关节软骨再生提供了直接证据。 展开更多

Extensive research has now been conducted and published for the treatment of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other brain disorders using photobiomodulation (PBM), also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT). However, minimal information is available regarding the use of LLLT for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). We have been using LLLT in our practice for over 15 years addressing chronic pain and injury issues. However, our work with brain injuries is more recent, and we have published three case studies, one describing a serious traumatic brain injury and two describing our success with dementia/Alzheimer’s disease and PTSD. Currently, there is very little published evidence regarding efficacious therapy for ADHD. The case studies presented here, suggest that LLLT can provide alleviation of these symptoms, with some improvement reported after just a single treatment, without any need for pharmaceutical intervention. 展开更多

低强度激光通过Wnt/β-catenin信号通路对RKO结直肠癌细胞的影响

Wnt/β-catenin信号通路的正常表达是调控正常细胞生长、分化的重要通路,对Wnt/β-catenin信号通路中靶点的研究也是当前肿瘤靶向治疗的热点。本文旨在探究低强度激光(LLLI)通过Wnt/β-catenin信号通路对RKO结直肠癌细胞的影响。利用632.8 nm波长的红外激光照射RKO细胞,应用半定量聚合酶链式反应(RTPCR)法筛选梯度低强度激光对RKO细胞Wnt/β-catenin信号通路中的APC、β-catenin、DVL基因表达的影响。RT-PCR结果显示:15 J/cm2能量密度的低强度激光可以降低RKO细胞中β-catenin基因的表达,可以增强APC及DVL基因的表达,且有随能量密度的递增而递增的趋势,差异有统计学意义。通过实时荧光定量聚合酶链式反应(qRT-PCR)法及蛋白质印迹(Western blot)法检测15 J/cm2能量密度的低强度激光照射后的RKO细胞相关指标的变化。qRT-PCR结果显示,Wnt5A、LRP5、TCF-4的基因表达均有不同程度的降低,差异有统计学意义。Western blot结果显示,β-catenin蛋白表达的下降相对于空白对照组的差异有统计学意义。qRT-PCR及Western blot的结果表明,15 J/cm^2能量密度的低强度激光短时间照射仍能对RKO细胞Wnt/β-catenin信号通路的过度表达起抑制作用。活细胞/死细胞试剂盒染色观察15 J/cm^2能量密度的低强度激光照射下,试验组RKO死细胞较对照组多。综上所述,15 J/cm^2能量密度的低强度激光照射能通过抑制Wnt/β-catenin信号通路过度表达以延缓RKO结直肠癌细胞的增殖,有剂量依赖性及时间累积效应,并可能额外激活细胞凋亡途径导致细胞凋亡。本研究可为结直肠癌的治疗提供一种新的思路。 展开更多

This study aimed to assess the systemic effect of LLLT on thyroid gland functioning and consequently on calcium regulation through Triiodothyronine (T3) and Thyroxine (T4) measurements in rabbits’ serum. A total of thirty two New Zealand male rabbits were randomly distributed in four groups with eight animals each: control group C (nonirradiated animals), group EI (5 J/cm2 per session), group EII (10 J/cm2 per session) and group EIII (20 J/cm2 per session). All animals underwent lower left incisor extraction followed by immediate insertion of an osseintegrated implant, providing an equality of initial clinical condition between the groups. The experimental groups were irradiated with aluminium gallium arsenide diode laser (GaAlAs, λ = 830 nm, 50 mW, CW), during 13 days at each 48 hours, totalizing 7 sessions. Laboratorial T3 and T4 measurements were done in four distinct moments (before surgical procedure, immediately after surgical procedure, after the first LLLT session and after the last LLLT session) in all animals. The results obtained showed statistically significant differences in Triiodothyronine values between the groups throughout the experiment. It was concluded that the LLLT, in the protocol of irradiation used in this study, promoted a significantly alteration on rabbits’ serum hormonal levels. 展开更多
