One of the main reasons the company is favored by global investors is due to its unique business pattern-a pattern that sets manufacturing as its base and is active in exploring industrial chain downstream links and establishing its own individual retail channels. Ever since its first inception in the stock market, Belle has set out to acquire several upstream manufacturing companies, indicating its desire for increasing channel terminals. Using a vertically integrated competition strategy, Belle stands out amongst its rivals as being particularly successful in the non-mainstream manufacturing sector. We have collected data on China's 22 main trading partners for 1984-2012 and used System GMM to study the influence of "Made in China" on the "Great Moderation" of the global economy. Our research shows that alth...We have collected data on China's 22 main trading partners for 1984-2012 and used System GMM to study the influence of "Made in China" on the "Great Moderation" of the global economy. Our research shows that although trade scale, real effective exchange rate, oil prices, fixed capital investment and other variables have significantly expanded global economic volatility, "Made in China" has markedly restrained output growth rate fluctuations in countries around the world and price fluctuations in developed countries, helping the global economy develop with "high growth, low volatility." "Made in China" is a long-term variable in the context of the global value chain. China needs to take advantage of global value chain restructuring to further upgrade and develop processing and manufacturing industry and expand its presence in the international market. It could choose to adopt a "mirror strategy" and launch trade sanctions targeting counterpart industries or enterprises to counter irrational trade sanctions from the developed countries. At the same time, however, it is important for China to make its own contribution to improve global economic governance and building a new international economic order in the era of global value chains by strengthening its policy coordination with other countries.展开更多

Using the OECD STAN Bilateral Trade Database by Industry and End-use Categor...This paper aims to examine the specific ways in which China's exports of manufactured goods to the United States boost the U.S. job market. Using the OECD STAN Bilateral Trade Database by Industry and End-use Category to calculate the share of U.S. intermediate products used in the manufactured goods China exports to the U.S., this paper finds that the "U.S. content" in China's exports of manufactured goods to the U.S. increases with the technology content of the goods and shows a decreasing trend over time. From 2006 to 2010, the average "US. content" in China's exports of manufactured goods to the U.S. was 1%, and such content in China's exports of high-end manufactured goods was 1.6%. On this basis and using the employment-output ratio in the U.S. Employment Demand Matrix, this paper concludes that as many as 1.71 million jobs have been created by the U.S. intermediate products used in China's exports of manufactured goods to the U.S. during the same period. Thus, the development of Sino-U.S. trade has a positive impact on the job market in the U.S.. By contrast, instead of improving the employment situation in the U.S., the RMB appreciation proposed by the U.S. might even have a negative effect.展开更多
