We compute the characteristic parameters of the magneto-dipole radiation of a neutron star undergoing torsional seismic vibrations under the action of Lorentz restoring force about an axis of a dipolar magnetic field experiencing decay. After a brief outline of the general theoretical background of the model of a vibration-powered neutron star, we present numerical estimates of basic vibration and radiation characteristics, such as frequency, lifetime and luminosity, and investigate their time dependence on magnetic field decay. The presented analysis suggests that a gradual decrease in frequencies of pulsating high-energy emission detected from a handful of currently monitored AXP/SGR-like X-ray sources can be explained as being produced by the vibration-powered magneto-dipole radiation of quaking magnetars. 展开更多

A disk-corona model for fitting the low/hard(LH)state of the associated steady jet in black hole X-ray binaries(BHXBs)is proposed based on the large-scale magnetic field configuration that arises from the coexistence of the Blandford-Znajek(BZ)and Blandford-Payne(BP)processes,where the magnetic field configuration for the BP process is determined by the requirement of energy conversion from Poynting energy flux into kinetic energy flux in the jet.It is found that corona current is crucial to guarantee the consistency of the jet launching from the accretion disk. The relative importance of the BZ and BP processes in powering jets from black hole accretion disks is discussed, and the LH state of several BHXBs is fitted based on our model. In addition,we suggest that magnetic field configuration can be regarded as the second parameter for governing the state transition of BHXBs. 展开更多

Prticle-in-cell(PIC) simulations demonstrated that, when the relativistic magnetron with diffraction output(MDO) is applied with a 410 kV voltage pulse,or when the relativistic magnetron with radial output is applied with a 350 kV voltage pulse, electrons emitted from the cathode with high energy will strike the anode block wall. The emitted secondary electrons and backscattered electrons affect the interaction between electrons and RF fields induced by the operating modes, which decreases the output power in the radial output relativistic magnetron by about 15%(10%for the axial output relativistic magnetron),decreases the anode current by about 5%(5%for the axial output relativistic magnetron),and leads to a decrease of electronic efficiency by 8%(6%for the axial output relativistic magnetron). The peak value of the current formed by secondary and backscattered current equals nearly half of the amplitude of the anode current, which may help the growth of parasitic modes when the applied magnetic field is near the critical magnetic field separating neighboring modes. Thus, mode competition becomes more serious. 展开更多
