The rings could emerge from the icy particles moving on chaotic orbits around Saturn within protoplanetary cloud. After appearance of the magnetic field of Saturn all chaotic orbits of icy particles start to shift to the magnetic equator plane, where there is a minimum of the particles magnetic energy, due to diamagnetic force of expulsion like Meissner phenomenon. Each particle comes to the stable position preventing its own horizontal and vertical shift. Particles are locked within three-dimensional magnetic well due to Abrikosov quantum vortex phenomenon for superconductor. This mechanism is valid and it works even particles have a small fraction of superconductor. Final picture is similar to the picture of iron particles forms the same shape around a magnet on laboratory table. Any other phenomena like gravity resonances, dusty plasma and others may bring some peculiarities to the final picture of the rings. It follows that magnetic field of Saturn and low temperature around of it are the main reason for the rings origin and the rings is product of the early time of the magnetic field of Saturn appearance. Additional matter to the rings also may come from the frozen water particles generated from the Saturn sputniks geysers due to magnetic coupling between planet and satellites. The data of Cassini mission to Saturn rings are conforming suggested theory of their origin and existence.展开更多

This was achieved through adjustment of slurry pH and addition of surfactants. The results showed that at pH 8.8 with the addition of 100 g/t sodium hexametaphosphate, 4.5 L/t oleic acid, and 4.5 L/t kerosene, significant amount of fine magnetite particles adhered to the pentlandite surface, while trace amount of coating was found on serpentine surfaces. Thus, the magnetism of pentlandite was enhanced and pentlandite was well separated from serpentine by magnetic separation under the magnetic field intensity of 200 kA/m. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and zeta potential measurement were performed to characterize changes of mineral surface properties. Calculations of the extended Derjaguin-Landau-Verwey-Ocerbeek (EDLVO) theory indicated that, in the presence of surfactants the total interaction energy between magnetite and pentlandite became stronger than that between magnetite and serpentine. This enabled the selective adhesion of magnetite particles to pentlandite surfaces, thereby enhancing its magnetism.展开更多

The calculated results indicate that a transition-metal atom sub- stitution for a Ti atom produces magnetic moments, which are due to the spin-polarization of transition-metal 3d electrons. The characteristics of exchange coupling are also calculated, which shows that in Cr-/Mn-/Fe-/Co- doped Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 system, the antiferromagnetic coupling is favorable. The results can successfully explain the experimental phenomenon that, in Mn-/Fe- doped Nao.sBio.sTiO3 system, the ferromagnetism disappears at low tem- perature and the paramagnetic component becomes stronger with the increase of doping concentration of Mn/Fe/Co ions. Unexpectedly, we find the Na0.5Bi0.5Ti0.67V0.33iO3 sys- tem with ferromagnetic coupling is favorable and produces a magnetic moment of 2.00 P-B, which indicates that low temperature ferromagnetism materials could be made by intro- ducing V atoms in Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3. This may be a new way to produce low temperature multiferroic materials.展开更多

It is found that the magnetic moment of Fe atom for the Fe(nw)/Cu(001) is 2.99#B, which is slightly smaller than that (3.02μB) for the Fe(nw)/Ag(001) but much larger than that (2.22μB) for the bcc iron. The great enhancement of magnetic moment in the Fe nanowires can be explained by the Fe d-band narrowing and enhancement of the spin-splitting due to a reduction in coordination number, From the calculated spin-polarized layer-projected density of states, it is found that the Fe 3d-states are strongly hybridized with the adjacent Cu 3d-states in the Fe(nw)/Cu(001), and there exists a strong hybridization between the Fe sp-and the adjacent Ag 4d-states in the Fe(nw)/Ag(001).展开更多

The current detection methods mostly are used after casing damage, which is not very effective. With the rapid development of China's offshore oil industry, the number of offshore oil wells is becoming larger and larger. Because the cost of offshore oil well is very high, the casing damage will cause huge economic losses. What's more, it can also bring serious pollution to marine environment. So the effective methods of detecting casing damage are required badly. The accumulation of stress is the main reason for the casing damage. Magnetic anisotropy technique based on counter magnetostriction effect can detect the stress of casing in real time and help us to find out the hidden dangers in time. It is essential for us to prevent the casing damage from occurring. However, such technique is still in the development stage. Previous studies mostly got the relationship between stress and magnetic signals by physical experiment, and the study of physical mechanism in relative magnetic permeability connecting the stress and magnetic signals is rarely reported. The present paper uses the ANSYS to do the three-dimensional finite element numerical simulation to study how the relative magnetic permeability works for the oil casing model. We find that the quantitative relationship between the stress' s variation and magnetic induction intensity's variation is: Δδ =K* ΔB, K = 8.04×109, which is proved correct by physical experiment.展开更多

The ...We predict that the recently discovered quasi-one-dimensional superconductors, A2 Cr3As3 (A=K, Rb), possess strong frustrated magnetic fluctuations and are nearby a novel in-out co-planar magnetic ground state. The frustrated magnetism is very sensitive to the c-axis lattice constant and can thus be suppressed by increasing pressure. Our results qualitatively explain strong non-Fermi liquid behaviors observed in the normal state of the superconductors as the intertwining between the magnetism and superconductivity can create a large quantum critical region in quasi-one-dimensional systems and also suggest that the materials share similar phase diagrams and superconducting mechanism with other unconventional superconductors, such as cuprates and iron-based superconductors.展开更多

The results show that there is no strict linear relation between 4πσ and Co content, and the 4πσ was affected by alloy composition and binder structure. Consequently, there is no one to one correspondence of 4πσ vs carbon content and, therefore, examining carbon content by 4πσ is conditional.展开更多

The data of Cassini mission to Saturn rings are conforming suggested theory of their origin and existence.
文摘The question of what magnetism is vital to quantum physics. We know what all other quantum phenomenon is, but we did not know what magnetism is. It is not enough to say it is a force because of a charge. That force must be something, for consistencies sake it had to be tested. This paper was written in order to confirm the results that were received in the experiments that took place that led to the paper “Magnetism: Insights from the Thomas Young Experiment” where it was concluded the magnetic phenomenon is both a particle and a wave. Will different interference patterns confirm a khumalon and wave like behaviour? The khumalon is the name of the particle associated with magnetic phenomenon. This paper concludes by confirming what was discovered in mentioned paper. Magnetism organizes into a wave no matter the interference. Understanding this reality, it allows us to understand what is happening with simple magnetic interactions. When like poles meet because they can not occupy the same space they push each other. Opposite poles are antiparticles to each other and annihilate each other. South pole scientifically speaking is not attracted to the north pole, the reason why the magnets slam each other is because they are closing a magnetic vacuum caused by the particles annihilating each other. We can now start theorizing on why a lodestone attracts iron because we now know we are dealing with a particle.

文摘The quantum phenomenological model has been proposed to investigate the magnetic property of nanometer magnetic granular film in an applied magnetic field. The magnetoresistance of the granular films with two distinct magnetic phases has been calculated by using Born approximation. The results show that the average scattering cross section of the magnetic cluster decreases with the increasing number n of the atom. The origin of the giant magnetoresistance comes from the spin dependent scattering between conduction electrons and magnetic granules and the field dependence of magnetoresistance and the quadratic relation of magnetoresistance on the rate of magnetic moment are in good agreement with the experiments reported.

文摘The magnetism of pentlandite surface was enhanced through the selective precipitation of micro-fine magnetite fractions on pentlandite surfaces. This enabled the selective adhesion of magnetite particles to pentlandite surfaces, thereby enhancing its magnetism.

文摘The ability to navigate long distances is essential for many animals to locate shelter, food, and breeding grounds.Magnetic sense has evolved in various migratory and homing species to orient them based on the geomagnetic field.A highly conserved ironsulfur cluster assembly protein IscA is proposed as an animal magnetoreceptor(MagR).Iron-sulfur cluster binding is also suggested to play an essential role in MagR magnetism and is thus critical in animal magnetoreception. In the current study,we provide evidence for distinct iron binding and iron-sulfur cluster binding in MagR in pigeons,an avian species that relies on the geomagnetic field for navigation and homing.Pigeon MagR showed significantly higher total iron content from both iron-and ironsulfur binding.Y65 in pigeon MagR was shown to directly mediate mononuclear iron binding, and its mutation abolished iron-binding capacity of the protein.Surprisingly, both iron binding and iron-sulfur binding demonstrated synergistic effects, and thus appear to be integral and indispensable to pigeon MagR magnetism. These results not only extend our current understanding of the origin and complexity of MagR magnetism, but also imply a possible molecular explanation for the huge diversity in animal magnetoreception.
文摘The origins of magnetism in transition-metal doped Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 system are investigated by ab initio calculations. This may be a new way to produce low temperature multiferroic materials.
文摘The electronic structures and magnetism of Fe nanowires along the [110] direction on Cu(001) and Ag(001) [Fe(nw)/Cu(001) and Fe(nw)/Ag(001)] are investigated by using the all-electron full-potential linearized augmented plane wave method in the generalized gradient approximation. It is found that the magnetic moment of Fe atom for the Fe(nw)/Cu(001) is 2.99#B, which is slightly smaller than that (3.02μB) for the Fe(nw)/Ag(001) but much larger than that (2.22μB) for the bcc iron. The great enhancement of magnetic moment in the Fe nanowires can be explained by the Fe d-band narrowing and enhancement of the spin-splitting due to a reduction in coordination number, From the calculated spin-polarized layer-projected density of states, it is found that the Fe 3d-states are strongly hybridized with the adjacent Cu 3d-states in the Fe(nw)/Cu(001), and there exists a strong hybridization between the Fe sp-and the adjacent Ag 4d-states in the Fe(nw)/Ag(001).

文摘The casing damage has been a big problem in oilfield production. We find that the quantitative relationship between the stress' s variation and magnetic induction intensity's variation is: Δδ =K* ΔB, K = 8.04×109, which is proved correct by physical experiment.

文摘We predict that the recently discovered quasi-one-dimensional superconductors, A2 Cr3As3 (A=K, Rb), possess strong frustrated magnetic fluctuations and are nearby a novel in-out co-planar magnetic ground state. The frustrated magnetism is very sensitive to the c-axis lattice constant and can thus be suppressed by increasing pressure. Our results qualitatively explain strong non-Fermi liquid behaviors observed in the normal state of the superconductors as the intertwining between the magnetism and superconductivity can create a large quantum critical region in quasi-one-dimensional systems and also suggest that the materials share similar phase diagrams and superconducting mechanism with other unconventional superconductors, such as cuprates and iron-based superconductors.

文摘Heavily Mn-doped SiGe thin films were grown by radio frequency magnetron sputtering and then treated by postgrowth thermal annealing.Structural characterizations reveal the coexistence of Mn-diluted SiGe crystals and Mn-rich nanoclusters in the annealed films.Magnetic measurements indicate the ferromagnetic ordering of the annealed samples above room temperature. The data suggest that the ferromagnetism is probably mainly contributed by the Ge-rich nanoclusters and partially contributed by the tensile-strained Mn-diluted SiGe crystals. The results may be useful for room temperature spintronic applications based on group IV semiconductors.
文摘The experimental regularity and the mechanism affecting the specific saturation magnetization (4πσ) of WC-Co cemented carbides were studied by varying alloy composition (W and C) and quenching treatment. The results show that there is no strict linear relation between 4πσ and Co content, and the 4πσ was affected by alloy composition and binder structure. Consequently, there is no one to one correspondence of 4πσ vs carbon content and, therefore, examining carbon content by 4πσ is conditional.
