The crystal is of monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 13.765(2), b = 17.044(3), c = 10.9044(16), β= 97.112(2)°, V = 2538.5(6)3, Z = 4, C22H24BrClCuN6O5, Mr = 631.37, Dc = 1.652 g/cm3, F(000) = 1276 and μ= 2.585 mm-1. In the crystal, DPP functions as a tridentate ligand and CuII ions assume a distorted square pyramidal geometry with Br atom lying on the apex, and at the same time, there is π-π stacking between adjacent complexes, which deals with two 1,10-phenanthroline plane rings. In addition to the π-π stacking, there are C-H···Br non-classic hydrogen bonds between adjacent complexes. The theoretical calculations reveal that the π-π stacking and C-H···Br non-classic hydrogen bond result in a weak anti-ferromagnetic interaction with 2J = -5.34 cm-1 and a weak ferromagnetic 2J = 5.92 cm-1, respectively. The magnetic coupling sign from the π-π stacking could be explained with McConnell I spin-polarization mechanism.展开更多

Our emphasis is on the relationship between magnetic shear and flare shear. Flare shear is defined as the angle formed between the line connecting the centroids of the two ribbons of the flare and the line perpendicular to the magnetic neutral line. The magnetic shear is computed from vector magnetograms observed at Big Bear Solar Observatory (BBSO), while the flare shear is computed from Transition Region and Coronal Explorer (TRACE) 1700A images. By a detailed comparison, we find that; 1) The magnetic shear and the flare shear of this event are basically consistent, as judged from the directions of the transverse magnetic field and the line connecting the two ribbons' centroids. 2) During the period of the enhancement of magnetic shear, flare shear had a fast increase followed by a fluctuated decrease. 3) When the magnetic shear stopped its enhancement, the fluctuated decreasing behavior of the flare shear became very smooth. 4) Hard X-ray (HXR) spikes are well correlated with the unshearing peaks on the time profile of the rate of change of the flare shear. We give a discussion of the above phenomena.展开更多

The magnetic null point in the reconnecting current sheet, acting as a scattering center, can lead to chaotic motions of particles in the current sheet, which is one of the possible mechanisms for anomalous resistivity and is called chaos-induced resistivity. In many interest- ing cases, however, instead of the magnetic null point, there is a nonzero magnetic field perpendicular to the merging field lines, usually called the guide field, whose effect on chaos-induced resistivity has been an open problem. By use of the test particle simulation method and statistical analysis, we investigate chaos-induced resistivity in the presence of a constant guide field. The characteristics of particle motion in the reconnecting region, in particular, the chaotic behavior of particle orbits and evolving statistical features, are analyzed. The results show that as the guide field increases, the radius of the chaos region increases and the Lyapunov index decreases. However, the effective collision frequency, and hence the chaos-induced resistivity, reach their peak values when the guide field approaches half of the character- istic strength of the reconnection magnetic field. The presence of a guide field can significantly influence the chaos of the particle orbits and hence the chaos-induced resistivity in the reconnection sheet, which decides the collisionless reconnection rate. The present result is helpful for us to understand the micro- physics of anomalous resistivity in collisionless reconnection with a guide field.展开更多

However, raw photospheric magnetograms contain magnetic forces and small-scale noises, and fail to be consistent with the force-free assumption of NLFFF models. The procedure for removing the forces and noises in observed data is called preprocessing. In this paper, we extend the preprocessing code of Jiang & Feng to spherical coordinates for a full sphere. We first smooth the observed data with Gaussian smoothing, and then split the smoothed magnetic field into a potential field and a non-potential field. The potential part is computed by a numerical potential field model, and the non-potential part is prepro- cessed using an optimization method to minimize the magnetic forces and magnetic torques. Applying the code to synoptic charts of the vector magnetic field from SDO/HMI, we find it can effectively reduce the noises and forces, and improve the quality of data for a better input which will be used for NLFFF extrapolations applied to the global corona.展开更多

This property has b een known in elements such as nickel, iron and cobalt. Because the rare-ear th alloy Terfenol-D can offer much larger strains than nickel, iron, cobalt, an d other smart materials such as piezoelectric materials, it is called giant magn etostrictive material. Making use of the giant magnetostrictive material, the gi ant magnetostrictive actuator has higher bandwidth and rapider response than oth er actuators. The stru cture of the giant magnetostrictive actuator is developed after magnetic circuit and some structure parameter are calculated. According to the turning frequency , the transient and stable-state output of the giant magnetostrictive actuator is measured. The test result demonstrated that the actuator responses the input rapidly, and the actuator has perfect stable-state and transient output charact eristic. The characteristic plasma β (the ratio between gas pressure and magnetic pressure) is taken to be so small (β = 10-4) that the magnetic field is close to being force-free. The system as a whole is then let evolve quasi-statically with a slow increase of either the annular magnetic flux or the axial magnetic flux of the rope, and the total magnetic energy of the system grows accordingly. It is found that there exists an energy threshold: the flux rope sticks to the solar surface in equilibrium if the magnetic energy of the system is below the threshold, whereas it loses equilibrium if the threshold is exceeded. The energy threshold is found to be larger than that of the corresponding fully-open magnetic field by a factor of nearly 1.08 irrespective as to whether the background field is completely closed or partly open, or whether the magnetic energy is enhanced by an increase of annular or axial flux of the rope. This gives an example showing that a force-free magnetic field may have an energy larger than the corresponding open field energy if part of the field lines is allowed to be detached from the solar surface. The implication of such a conclusion in coronal mass ejections is briefly discussed and some comments are made on the maximum energy of force-free magnetic fields.展开更多

Thus, one can overcome the problem, connected with the finding of many-body wave function as solution of the Schr?dinger equation with a very tangled Hamiltonian for multi-body system. An effect of nonlocality appears. The dependence of the linear density of particles on the magnetic field and on the number of particles in the one- dimension filamentary multiparticle quantum structure is calculated.展开更多

It unambiguously shows that the RMCD signal is composed by three terms. In addition to the conventional term, which is sufficient in the absence of interference, an oscillatory term is required. Both of them are related to the imaginary part εxy of the off-diagonal element of the dielectric tensor. One also becomes aware that in this case RMCD is not actually determined only by the imaginary part εxy of the off-diagonal element of the dielectric tensor, as has been widely accepted. In fact, the real part εxy of the off-diagonal element will substantially mix into the measured RMCD results by another oscillatory cos θ form. It can even reverse the sign of RMCD, when the Gal_xMnxAs layer becomes thicker. The main aspects of these predictions were used to reasonably explain the RMCD results measured in three different types of samples. Our work will bring about a reconsideration of how to correctly explain RMCD results.展开更多

We have reprocessed the archival data from both observatories and we combined the output products with all the published observations of 31 MC pulsars with Ps 〈 100 s in an attempt to investigate the faintest X-ray emission states of these objects that occur when accretion to the polar caps proceeds at the smallest possible rates. These states determine the so-called propeller lines of the accreting pulsars and yield information about the magnitudes of their surface magnetic fields. We have found that the faintest states of the pulsars segregate into five discrete groups which obey to a high degree of accuracy the theoretical relation between spin period and X-ray luminosity. So the entire population of these pulsars can be described by just five propeller lines and the five corresponding magnetic moments (0.29, 0.53, 1.2, 2.9 and 7.3, in units of 1030 G cma).展开更多

From the photospheric magnetic field observed by SDO/HMI, we find there are indeed magnetic BPs on the polarity inversion lines (PILs) which match parts of the flare ribbons. From the 3D coronal magnetic field derived from an MHD relaxation model constrained by the vector magnetograms, we find strikingly good agreement of the BP separatrix surface (BPSS) footpoints with the flare ribbons, and the BPSS itself with the hot flaring loop system. Moreover, the triggering of the BP flare can be attributed to a small flux emergence under the lobe of the BPSS, and the relevant change of coronal magnetic field through the flare is reproduced well by the pre-flare and post-flare MHD solutions, which match the corresponding pre- and post-flare AIA observations, respectively. Our work contributes to the study of non-typical flares that constitute the majority of solar flares but which cannot be explained by the standard flare model.展开更多

This method has the advantage that the divergence-free condition is automatically satisfied, which is a sticky issue for many other algorithms, and we can take advantage of modern high resolution algorithms to process the force-free magnetic field. Several tests have been made based on the well-known analytic solution proposed by Low & Lou. The numerical results are in satisfactory agreement with the analytic ones. It is suggested that the newly proposed method is promising in extrapolating the active region or the whole sun magnetic fields in the solar atmosphere based on the observed vector magnetic field on the photosphere.展开更多

文摘As a combination device for a step-up pulse transformer and a magnetic switch, the saturable pulse transformer is widely used in pulsed-power and plasma technology.A fractional-turn ratio saturable pulse transformer is constructed and analyzed in this paper.Preliminary experimental results show that if the primary energy storage capacitors are charged to 300 V,an output voltage of about 19 kV can be obtained across the capacitor connected to the secondary windings of a fractional-tum ratio saturable pulse transformer.Theoretical and experimental results reveal that this kind of pulse transformer is not only able to integrate a step-up transformer and a magnetic switch into one device, but can also lower the saturable inductance of its secondary windings, thus leading to the relatively high step-up ratio of the pulse transformer.Meanwhile, the application of the fractional-turn ratio saturable pulse transformer in a μs range pulse modulator as a voltage step-up device and main switch is also included in this paper. The demonstrated experiments display that an output voltage with an amplitude of about 29 kV,and a 1.6 μs pulse width can be obtained across a 3500 Ω resistive load, based on a pulse modulator,if the primary energy storage capacitors are charged to 300 V.This compact fractional-turn ratio saturable pulse transformer can be applied in many other fields such as surface treatment, corona plasma generation and dielectric barrier discharge.

文摘To acquire Stokes profiles from observations of a simple sunspot with the Video Vector Magnetograph at Huairou Solar Observing Station (HSOS), we scanned the FeI λ5324.19 A line over the wavelength interval from 150mA redward of the line center to 150mA blueward, in steps of 10mA. With the technique of analytic inversion of Stokes profiles via nonlinear least-squares, we present the calibration coefficients for the HSOS vector magnetic magnetogram. We obtained the theoretical calibration error with linear expressions derived from the Unno-Becker equation under weak-field approximation.

文摘One of the most puzzling problems in astrophysics is to understand the anomalous resistivity in collisionless magnetic reconnection that is believed extensively to be responsible for the energy re- lease in various eruptive phenomena. The present result is helpful for us to understand the micro- physics of anomalous resistivity in collisionless reconnection with a guide field.

文摘Nonlinear force-free magnetic field (NLFFF) extrapolation based on the observed photo- spheric magnetic field is the most important method to obtain the coronal magnetic field nowadays. Applying the code to synoptic charts of the vector magnetic field from SDO/HMI, we find it can effectively reduce the noises and forces, and improve the quality of data for a better input which will be used for NLFFF extrapolations applied to the global corona.

Single-crystal structure analysis shows that complex 1 exhibits a three-dimensional 2-fold interpenetrating pillared helical-layer open framework of a-Po topology based upon binuclear paddlewheel units. Moreover, its magnetic properties have also been investigated.
文摘Magnetostriction is a phenomenon in which a magneti c field is used to produce a change in size of some materials. So it is widely used in active vibration control, especially in lo w frequency stage. In this paper, a turning vibration control system is develope d. The system has an actuator clamped in a flexor that is rigid in the feed and main cutting force directions, yet is flexible in the radial direction. The characteristic includes the stable-state output linearity, repeata bility and transient delay between output displacement and input current.

文摘Using an axisymmetrical ideal MHD model in spherical coordinates, we present a numerical study of magnetic configurations characterized by a levitating flux rope embedded in a bipolar background field whose normal field at the solar surface is the same or very close to that of a central dipole. The implication of such a conclusion in coronal mass ejections is briefly discussed and some comments are made on the maximum energy of force-free magnetic fields.

文摘It is shown that a single-particle wave function Ψ, obtained (Landau, 1930) as a solution of the Schr?dinger equation (for a charged particle in a homogeneous magnetic field), and an operator relation of?(or equation?) lead to the dynamic description of one-dimensional many-particle quantum filamentary states. Thus, one can overcome the problem, connected with the finding of many-body wave function as solution of the Schr?dinger equation with a very tangled Hamiltonian for multi-body system. An effect of nonlocality appears. The dependence of the linear density of particles on the magnetic field and on the number of particles in the one- dimension filamentary multiparticle quantum structure is calculated.

文摘An explicit expression of reflection magnetic circular dichroism (RMCD) has been derived, taking into account the interference effect that arises from multiple internal reflections in an air/Ga1-xMnxAs/GaAs dielectric layered system. Our work will bring about a reconsideration of how to correctly explain RMCD results.
文摘The 80 high-mass X-ray binary (HMXB) pulsars that are known to reside in the Magellanic Clouds (MCs) have been observed by the XMM-Newton and Chandra X-ray telescopes on a regular basis for 15 years, and the XMM-Newton and Chandra archives contain nearly complete information about the duty cycles of the sources with spin periods Ps 〈 100 s. So the entire population of these pulsars can be described by just five propeller lines and the five corresponding magnetic moments (0.29, 0.53, 1.2, 2.9 and 7.3, in units of 1030 G cma).

文摘With SDO observations and a data-constrained magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) model, we identify a confined multi-ribbon flare that occurred on 2010 October 25 in solar active region 11117 as a magnetic bald patch (BP) flare with strong evidence. Our work contributes to the study of non-typical flares that constitute the majority of solar flares but which cannot be explained by the standard flare model.

文摘A new mono-nuclear Mn(Ⅱ) complex [Mn(MPT)2(NCS)(HOCH3)]ClO4(MPT = 2-methoxyl-1,10-phenanthroline) has been synthesized with 2-methoxyl-1,10-phenanthroline and thiocyanate anion as ligands,and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray crystallography.The crystal data:monoclinic system,space group P21/c with a = 12.8849(17),b = 15.684(2),c = 14.2703(19) ,β = 92.126(2)°,V = 2881.9(7) 3,Z = 4,C28H24ClMnN5O7S,Mr = 664.97,Dc = 1.533 g/cm3,F(000) = 1364 and μ = 0.679 mm-1.In the crystal,MPT functions as a bidentate ligand and Mn(Ⅱ) ion assumes a distorted octahedral geometry.In the crystal there are two types of π-π stacking interactions among the adjacent complexes,which involves 1,10-phenanthroline rings.The theoretical calculations reveal that the two types of π-π stacking resulted in a weak anti-ferromagnetic coupling with 2J =-14.68 cm-1 and a weak ferromagnetic coupling with 2J = 0.70 cm-1,respectively.The theoretical calculations also reveal that there are both spin polarization and spin delocalization in the two π-π stacking systems,and the magnetic coupling signs are unable to explain with McConnell I spin-polarization mechanism.

文摘Inspired by the analogy between the magnetic field and velocity field of incompressible fluid flow, we propose a fluid dynamics approach for computing nonlinear force-free magnetic fields. It is suggested that the newly proposed method is promising in extrapolating the active region or the whole sun magnetic fields in the solar atmosphere based on the observed vector magnetic field on the photosphere.
