Automated terminals can significantly improve the loading and unload...The recent rapid development of China’s foreign trade has led to the significant increase in waterway transportation and automated container ports. Automated terminals can significantly improve the loading and unloading efficiency of container terminals. These terminals can also increase the port’s transportation volume while ensuring the quality of cargo loading and unloading, which has become an inevitable trend in the future development of ports. However, the continuous growth of the port’s transportation volume has increased the horizontal transportation pressure on the automated terminal, and the problems of route conflicts and road locks faced by automated guided vehicles (AGV) have become increasingly prominent. Accordingly, this work takes Xiamen Yuanhai automated container terminal as an example. This work focuses on analyzing the interference problem of path conflict in its horizontal transportation AGV scheduling. Results show that path conflict, the most prominent interference factor, will cause AGV scheduling to be unable to execute the original plan. Consequently, the disruption management was used to establish a disturbance recovery model, and the Dijkstra algorithm for combining with time windows is adopted to plan a conflict-free path. Based on the comparison with the rescheduling method, the research obtains that the deviation of the transportation path and the deviation degree of the transportation path under the disruption management method are much lower than those of the rescheduling method. The transportation path deviation degree of the disruption management method is only 5.56%. Meanwhile, the deviation degree of the transportation path under the rescheduling method is 44.44%.展开更多

It has also provided new m ethod and model for enterprise management, that is online management based on th e internet. The online management is constructed on the integration of exp ert system, database, software and other technical models. How to scientifically manage the entire system of product, precisely master the condition of quantity and quality and analyze the rules of the change of produc t quality in order to carry out the overall control of quality, guarantee the go od condition of product as well as improve product quality and prolong it’s se rvice life was discussed in this thesis. Based on the above research the thesis also discussed how to develop the study on product quality information and const ruct it’s decision making support system. The concrete measures to improve peopl e’s concept of quality are also raised. Based on the type analysis, scientific management of product quality information should start from dynamic information of quality, instruction information as we ll as the information about the use, maintain, management and conservation of pr oduct, and induce them and further propose a design scheme of feedback system on product quality information, and then set up the blueprint of the information s ystem of product quality. Many specific methods have been found to assess risk in a port area or operation. A review is presented in different approaches on human and environmental risks in port area. On the other hand, there is no specific risk management method or fi'amework to cope with threats and hazards regarding on port machines or material accidents and port assets damages or losses. This paper presents a risk management methodology, seeking to investigate a process of assessing the assets hazards and damages into the domain of port container terminal, by taking into account its different factors and their mutual influences. This methodology constitutes a decision support framework that will be used to conduct port to port risk evaluations or to assess a whole port's and terminal's risk level in the critical field of assets damages and losses, in order to facilitate improvement strategies. An empirical study is contacted for the years of 2003-2012, in order to provide evidence for risk assessment and management in an economic effective way, regarding port assets damages and losses, at the Port Container Terminal of Piraeus in Greece.展开更多

Corpus Christi, Texas, is a growing urban area with a busy port and a petrochemical industrial base that is currently in compliance with the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) National Ambient Air Quality Sta...Corpus Christi, Texas, is a growing urban area with a busy port and a petrochemical industrial base that is currently in compliance with the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for ozone. However, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has classified this urban airshed as a near non-attainment area. A comprehensive annual air emission inventory based on marine engines activity was developed for the years of 2006-2009 for the Port of Corpus Christi, Texas using recent EPA approved methodology. A regional-scale photochemical model Comprehensive Air Modeling system with extensions (CAMx) was used to evaluate the impact of these emissions on the ground level ozone concentrations by zeroing out the emissions and employing Direct Decoupled Method (DDM) for sensitivity analysis to estimate the 8-hour ozone sensitivity coefficients due to NOx and VOC emissions from marine engines. The analysis has shown a localized increase of up to 7.8 ppb in the 8-hour ozone concentration very close to the port premises and a decrease of about 1.73 ppb further downwind. Ozone sensitivity analysis using DDM on the 8-hour ozone concentrations showed a higher sensitivity to NOx emissions. Thus, any NOx related controls of marine engines will benefit local urban and regional ozone levels.展开更多
