Better understanding the determinants of farmers’ SFM can be a great help to the adoption of effective SFM practices. Based on a dataset of 315 plots collected from a typical rice growing area of South China, this study applied statistical method and econometric models to examine the impacts of land characteristics on farmers’ SFM practices at plot scale. Main results showed that in general land characteristics affected SFM behaviors. Securer land tenure arrangements facilitated effective practices of SFM through more diversiifed and more soil-friendly cropping pattern choices. Plot size signiifcantly reduced the intensities of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer application. Given other factors, 1 ha increase in plot size might reduce 3.0 kg ha-1 P2O5 and 1.8 kg ha-1 K2O. Plots far from the homestead were paid less attention in terms of both chemical fertilizers and manure applications. Besides, plots with better quality were put more efforts on management by applying more nitrogen and manure, and by planting green manure crops. Signiifcant differences existed in SFM practices between the surveyed villages with different socio-economic conditions. The ifndings are expected to provide important references to the policy-making incentive for improving soil quality and crop productivity.展开更多

It believes that cognitive placement might be used for talent management to determine individual performers. Cognitive methodology assumes that HR manager replaces performance grade of employees into placement line. In upper case, it is grade of employees between 0 and 100. In lower case, it is percentage of performance sub-groups. HR managers replace the top 10% of grades into placement line. That group is talent management group. It is assumed that talent management is to appoint ability professionals for management positions. In addition, this study proposes that cognitive placement by HR managers may specify top performers (professionals) in organizations. Therefore, performance appraisal process is important in talent management, because talent management in HR is related with individual performance and management positions.展开更多

This is the CPC's focus on safeguarding the fundamental interests of the majority of the people, to maximize social harmony, and to enhance the vitality of social development. The differences between governance and management are embodied in such as the governance system, legality, resource management, and comprehensive measures, etc. Compared with the way of social management, in which the government was used to controlling and ordering all social affairs, social governance pays more attention to the process of co-operations among different parties, to more emphasis on parties' co-operations and co-governance, with a continuous and interactive process of coordinated negotiations among multiple stakeholders. Social governance pays more emphasis on respect to social and political rights of members in the society, trying to stimulate the potential of social members, so that members of the community, in the process of social governance, have rights to speak, to choose and to influence; it pays more emphasis not only on maximizing autonomy of the social organizations and community, but also emphasizes the comprehensive use of a variety of means. The constructions of social governance system should mainly consist of four aspects: first, it is to improve the quality of social grassroots governance; second, it is to stimulate the vitality of social organizations; third, it tries to become an innovative and effective system to prevent and resolve social conflicts; fourth, it is to improve the public security system. To innovate the social management system, it is not only to achieve the transformation of the idea from control to service, but also to change the governance way from inflexible to flexible, thus, to finally form the social governance structure of Party leadership, government responsibility, social coordination, and public展开更多

Results of this study indicate that the debt financing of the listed companies in China can reduce the agency cost with a positive governance effect that promotes firm value. Male, better educated, short-tenured, and financially experienced managers are more likely to be overconfident and prefer debt financing. Specifically, the manager's age, level of education, and work experience can significantly promote the effect of debt financing on firm value. Compared with SOEs, private enterprises can improve their firm value more significantly through debt financing;the education and work experience of the managers of private enterprises are more positively correlated with debt financing and can more significantly improve firm value through debt financing. This paper's findings suggest that the manager's characteristics and firm ownership nature must be taken into account to reach valid conclusions on the governance effects of debt financing on firm value. Meanwhile, these conclusions help unravel the mechanism and economic implications of debt financing, and contribute to the improvement of the capital structure decisions and human resources management practices of China's listed companies. This study not only enriches the literature and empirical evidence on the correlation between managers' characteristics and firm financing, but indicate that managers' characteristics and firm ownership are important considerations for investigating the governance effects of debt financing on firm value and have a vital impact on the formulation and implementation of firm financing decisions.展开更多

[Method] Three double repre-sentative family ranches were selected in meadow steppe of Hulunber Old Barag Banner, and the study was carried out with the baseline survey. Three family ranches were selected as the demonstrative households for the corporation study, while other three family ranches with the similar conditions were looked as the non-demonstrative households for the comparison. Demonstrative households of the fami-ly ranches reduced the stocking rate, optimized the flock structure and took a winter feeding and other means to explore the different management models on plant com-munity characteristic of family ranch. [Result] The seasonal dynamic of community characteristic in family ranches showed the single-peaks curves. The seasonal dy-namics of community coverage, height and biomass in the demonstrative households showed higher compared with the non-demonstrative households, and community density in the experiment households was lower than that of the control experiment households. Community coverage, height and biomass of degraded grassland in family ranch have a great improve after optimization of management. Community coverage, height , density and biomass were increasing in fencing plot, but decreas-ing in free grazing area. Enclosure improved grassland coverage, vegetation height, density and forage yield. Leymus chinensis played an important role in plant com-munity. The important values of Leymus chinensis, Stipa baicalensis, Cleistogenes squarrosa, and Carex duriuscula were high. Leymus chinensis important value in the demonstrative households of optimal management was higher than that in the non-demonstrative households, and Carex duriuscula important value of the non-demon-strative households was significantly higher than that of the demonstrative house-holds. The indexes of Margalef richnes,Shannon-Wiener diversity, Simpson diversity and Pielou uniformity showed that the demonstrative households were higher than the non-demonstrative households. [Conclusion] The research provides theoretical ref-erences for sustainable development of pastures dominated by family ranch.展开更多

Then, we present a collusion-free centralized multicast key management scheme based on characteristic values of members. The re-keying method that other group members calculate new keys when a member is joining or leaving is also designed. It achieves forward secrecy and backward secrecy. Compared with typical existing centralized schemes, the storage of Group Key Controller (GKC) in our scheme halves the storage overhead of others, and communication overhead of GKC is 2 in case of joining re-keying. Especially, the leaving re-keying overhead is and the overall performance is excellent.展开更多

The research was conducted in the public health institutions in Montenegro. The objectives of the research were to investigate whether leaders affect the motivation of employees in order to implement changes in the health system. The study was implemented through the interview method on the representative sample of 603 employees in public health institutions. The factor analysis revealed the latent characteristics of the organizational leader and the factors that motivate employees in public health institutions. The result of study indicates that employees in public health perceive organizational leadership to have a good quality. Result also exposes that the strongest motivation factor is a financial incentive. Financial incentive is the main motivator for employees in the public health sector, while the participation in decision-making was the least important motivational factor. The results obtained indicate that employees are primarily focused on individual goals, which influence the acceptance of change within the health system. The role of organizational leaders in motivating is poor because obtained factor scores are not correlated. The research has shown that organizational leaders do not have a great impact on the motivation of employees in the public health sector. This has effect on the process of accepting changes, where the roles of leaders are very important, especially in providing support to employees.展开更多

文摘Based on the behavioral finance theory and the upper echelons theory, this paper employs the data of China's A-share listed companies from 2008 to 2013 as research samples, and empirically tests the effects of managers with different characteristics on debt financing and firm value for enterprises of different ownership nature. This study not only enriches the literature and empirical evidence on the correlation between managers' characteristics and firm financing, but indicate that managers' characteristics and firm ownership are important considerations for investigating the governance effects of debt financing on firm value and have a vital impact on the formulation and implementation of firm financing decisions.
文摘China's price fluctuations increasingly exhibit significant structural characteristics, and since 2003,there have been several rounds of significant structural price rise. The degree of structural rise in the prices of industrial and agricultural products in China is not only higher than in the general developed countries and developing countries, but also more prominent than in other transition economies. And the structural rise in the prices of Chinese industrial and agricultural products exhibits significant economic zone differences:the structural fluctuations are the greatest in the central and western regions, significantly higher than in the eastern regions as well as the national average. From the perspective of causes of structural rise in the prices of Chinese industrial and agricultural products, the government must aim to coordinate the industrial and agricultural investments and bridge the gap in the industrial and agricultural technologies and supply capacity.

文摘[Objective] The aim was to explore the management mode on optimal re-sources al ocation of family ranch in meadow steppe. [Conclusion] The research provides theoretical ref-erences for sustainable development of pastures dominated by family ranch.
文摘In this letter, the communication transmitter transient signals are analyzed based on the time-variant hierarchy exponents of multifractal analysis. The species of optimized sample set is selected as the template of transmitter identification, so that the individual communication transmitter identification can be realized. The turn-on signals of four transmitters are used in the simulation. The experimental results show that the multifractal character of transmitter transient signals is an effective character of individual transmitter identification.
文摘A new collusion attack on Pour-like schemes is proposed in this paper. Especially, the leaving re-keying overhead is and the overall performance is excellent.
文摘The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of organizational leaders in the health system and the factors that motivate health workers, in order to improve health care. This has effect on the process of accepting changes, where the roles of leaders are very important, especially in providing support to employees.

文摘Promoting women’s employment is not only the need of social and economic development, but also the historical mission of liberating women. This paper uses data from the 1%Population Sample Survey, taken in Guangdong Province in 2015,to explore how women’s marital status, education, and family environment affect the female non-agricultural employment rate(FNAER)on a county scale using a spatial-lag model. The results show that:1)The female non-agricultural employment rate in counties of Guangdong Province is low, with more than three-quarters of counties having female non-agricultural employment rate less than 50%.Moreover,the spatial distribution of FNAER is uneven, with the high-value areas concentrated in the southeast and the low-value areas mainly distributed in the central and western parts of Guangdong Province.2)From the perspective of industry, there are significant spatial differences among women. In the southeast, women are mainly engaged in the secondary industry, while in the central and western regions, women are mainly engaged in the tertiary industry.3)Women having better skills and more effective support from the elderly can improve the FNAER.Women having lower skills,smaller-scale families,a higher fertility rate, and households with two or more elderly members have a negative effect on the FNAER.4)Public policies suggest that improving women’s education and their family environment, building social welfare facilities, and repairing the family environment will increase the FNAER.
文摘Lack of preventive measure is currently the problem that implicates poor building maintenance performance and issue on sustainability of buildings in Malaysia. Whereby, preventive maintenance is an effective approach to enhance the reliability and quality of a system and its components. This study seeks to investigate the characteristics of preventive maintenance towards the overall performance in building maintenance. Case study approach is adopted to identify the maintenance characteristics and aspects that lead to good performance. The research findings demonstrate that the most significant maintenance characteristics towards overall performance are skill and knowledge of maintenance labour, quality of spare parts and materials, length of predetermined maintenance interval, skill and knowledge of maintenance manager, capability to adopt maintenance equipment and technique, budget allocation for acquisition of maintenance data, reliability of maintenance data, as well as frequency of monitoring and inspection. As a conclusion, the significant maintenance characteristics must be taken into consideration to achieve optimal maintenance performance.
