A STABILITY RESULT FOR TRANSLATINGSPACELIKE GRAPHS IN LORENTZ MANIFOLDS

In this paper,we investigate spacelike graphs defined over a domain Ω⊂M^(n) in the Lorentz manifold M^(n)×ℝ with the metric−ds^(2)+σ,where M^(n) is a complete Riemannian n-manifold with the metricσ,Ωhas piecewise smooth boundary,and ℝ denotes the Euclidean 1-space.We prove an interesting stability result for translating spacelike graphs in M^(n)×ℝ under a conformal transformation.

Delineating homogeneous domains of fractured rocks using topological manifolds and deep learning

Determining homogeneous domains statistically is helpful for engineering geological modeling and rock mass stability evaluation.In this text,a technique that can integrate lithology,geotechnical and structural information is proposed to delineate homogeneous domains.This technique is then applied to a high and steep slope along a road.First,geological and geotechnical domains were described based on lithology,faults,and shear zones.Next,topological manifolds were used to eliminate the incompatibility between orientations and other parameters(i.e.trace length and roughness)so that the data concerning various properties of each discontinuity can be matched and characterized in the same Euclidean space.Thus,the influence of implicit combined effect in between parameter sequences on the homogeneous domains could be considered.Deep learning technique was employed to quantify abstract features of the characterization images of discontinuity properties,and to assess the similarity of rock mass structures.The results show that the technique can effectively distinguish structural variations and outperform conventional methods.It can handle multisource engineering geological information and multiple discontinuity parameters.This technique can also minimize the interference of human factors and delineate homogeneous domains based on orientations or multi-parameter with arbitrary distributions to satisfy different engineering requirements.

A Quantum Representation of the Homogeneous 5D Manifold and the Perelman Mappings of 5D onto Non-Homogeneous Lorentz 4D Manifolds

The expression of the Maxwell magnetic monopole was employed to correlate the space to space projection that gives rise to the Gell-Mann standard model, and space to time projection which gives the leptons;and how does it correlate to the Perelman mappings from the homogeneous 5D manifold to the Lorentz 4D manifold, together with correlating the physical consequences caused by the breaking of the Diagonal Long Range Order [DLRO] of the monopoles quantum states affected by the motion of massive particles in the Lorentz 4D boundary of the 5D manifold, which leads to gravitons and the gravity field via the General Relativity covariant Riemannian 4D curvatures metric equation.

Isometric Immersions of Lightlike Warped Product Manifolds

In this paper, we deal with isommetric immersions of globally null warped product manifolds into Lorentzian manifolds with constant curvature c in codimension k≥3. Under the assumptions that the globally null warped product manifold has no points with the same constant sectional curvature c as the Lorentzian ambient, we show that such isometric immersion splits into warped product of isometric immersions.

Lattice of Finite Group Actions on Prism Manifolds

The set of finite group actions (up to equivalence) which operate on a prism manifold M, preserve a Heegaard Klein bottle and have a fixed orbifold quotient type, form a partially ordered set. We describe the partial ordering of these actions by relating them to certain sets of ordered pairs of integers. There are seven possible orbifold quotient types, and for any fixed quotient type we show that the partially ordered set is isomorphic to a union of distributive lattices of a certain type. We give necessary and sufficent conditions, for these partially ordered sets to be isomorphic and to be a union of Boolean algebras.

Totally Umbilical Screen Transversal Lightlike Submanifolds of Semi-Riemannian Product Manifolds

We study totally umbilical screen transversal lightlike submanifolds immersed in a semi-Riemannian product manifold and obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for induced connection ▽ on a totally umbilical radical screen transversal lightlike submanifold to be metric connection. We prove a theorem which classifies totally umbilical ST-anti-invariant lightlike submanifold immersed in a semi-Riemannian product manifold.

The Manifolds with Ricci Curvature Decay to Zero

The paper quotes the concept of Ricci curvature decay to zero. Base on this new concept, by modifying the proof of the canonical Cheeger-Gromoll Splitting Theorem, the paper proves that for a complete non-compact Riemannian manifold M with Ricci curvature decay to zero, if there is a line in M, then the isometrically splitting M = R × N is true.

The Inertial Manifolds for a Class of Higher-Order Coupled Kirchhoff-Type Equations

In this paper, we mainly deal with a class of higher-order coupled Kirch-hoff-type equations. At first, we take advantage of Hadamard’s graph to get the equivalent form of the original equations. Then, the inertial manifolds are proved by using spectral gap condition. The main result we gained is that the inertial manifolds are established under the proper assumptions of M(s) and gi(u,v), i=1, 2.

On Some Recent Progress in Complex Geometry-the Area Related to Homogeneous Manifolds

In this article,we give a survey of some progress of the complex geometry,mostly related to the Lie group actions on compact complex manifolds and complex homogeneous spaces in the last thirty years.In particular,we explore some works in the special area in Di erential Geometry,Lie Group and Complex Homogeneous Space.Together with the special area in nonlinear analysis on complex manifolds,they are the two major aspects of my research interests.

Conventional and Enhanced Canonical Quantizations, Application to Some Simple Manifolds

It is well known that the representations over an arbitrary configuration space related to a physical system of the Heisenberg algebra allow to distinguish the simply and non simply-connected manifolds [arXiv:quant-ph/9908.014, arXiv:hep-th/0608.023]. In the light of this classification, the dynamics of a quantum particle on the line is studied in the framework of the conventional quantization scheme as well as that of the enhanced quantization recently introduced by J. R. Klauder [arXiv:quant-ph/1204.2870]. The quantum action functional restricted to the phase space coherent states is obtained from the enhanced quantization procedure, showing the coexistence of classical and quantum theories, a fundamental advantage offered by this new approach. The example of the one dimensional harmonic oscillator is given. Next, the spectrum of a free particle on the two-sphere is recognized from the covariant diffeomorphic representations of the momentum operator in the configuration space. Our results based on simple models also point out the already-known link between interaction and topology at quantum level.

Some Properties of <i>CR</i>-Submanifolds of a Nearly Trans-Sasakian Manifold with a Semi Symmetric Non-Metric Connection

This paper deals with the study of CR-submanifolds of a nearly trans-Sasakian manifold with a semi symmetric non-metric connection. Nijenhuis tensor, integrability conditions for some distributions on CR-submanifolds of a nearly trans-Sasakian manifold with a semi symmetric non- metric connection are discussed.

Stratified Convexity &Concavity of Gradient Flows on Manifolds with Boundary

As has been observed by Morse [1], any generic vector field v on a compact smooth manifold X with boundary gives rise to a stratification of the boundary by compact submanifolds , where . Our main observation is that this stratification re-flects the stratified convexity/concavity of the boundary ?with respect to the ?v-flow. We study the behavior of this stratification under deformations of the vector field v. We also investigate the restrictions that the existence of a convex/concave traversing ?v-flow imposes on the topology of X. Let be the orthogonal projection of on the tangent bundle of . We link the dynamics of theon the boundary with the property of in X being convex/concave. This linkage is an instance of more general phenomenon that we call “holography of traversing fields”—a subject of a different paper to follow.

Algorithm for Fast Calculation of Hirzebruch-Jung Continued Fraction Expansions to Coding of Graph Manifolds

We present a new algorithm for the fast expansion of rational numbers into continued fractions. This algorithm permits to compute the complete set of integer Euler numbers of the sophisticate tree graph manifolds, which we used to simulate the coupling constant hierarchy for the universe with five fundamental interactions. Moreover, we can explicitly compute the integer Laplacian block matrix associated with any tree plumbing graph. This matrix coincides up to sign with the integer linking matrix (the main topological invariant) of the graph manifold corresponding to the plumbing graph. The need for a special algorithm appeared during computations of these topological invariants of complicated graph manifolds since there emerged a set of special rational numbers (fractions) with huge numerators and denominators;for these rational numbers, the ordinary methods of expansion in continued fraction became unusable.

SOME CONVERGENCE PROBLEMS REGARDING THE FRACTIONAL SCHRODINGER PROPAGATOR ON NONCOMPACT MANIFOLDS

Let L be the Laplace-Beltrami operator.On an n-dimensional(n≥2),complete,noncompact Riemannian manifold M,we prove that if 0<α<1,s>α/2 and f∈Hs(M),then the fractional Schr?dinger propagator e(it|L|α/2)(f)(x)→f(x)a.e.as t→0.In addition,for when M is a Lie group,the rate of the convergence is also studied.These results are a non-trivial extension of results on Euclidean spaces and compact manifolds.

HERMITIAN-EINSTEIN METRICS FOR HIGGS BUNDLES OVER COMPLETE HERMITIAN MANIFOLDS

In this paper,we solve the Dirichlet problem for the Hermitian-Einstein equations on Higgs bundles over compact Hermitian manifolds.Then we prove the existence of the Hermitian-Einstein metrics on Higgs bundles over a class of complete Hermitian manifolds.

Volume of Geodesic Balls in Finsler Manifolds of Hyperbolic Type

Let ?be a compact Finsler manifold of hyperbolic type, and ?be its universal Finslerian covering. In this paper we show that the growth function of the volume of geodesic balls of ?is of purely exponential type.

On Generalized <i>φ</i>-Recurrent Sasakian Manifolds

The object of the present paper is to introduce the notion of generalized φ-recurrent Sasakian manifold and study its various geometric properties with the existence of such notion. Among others we study generalized concircularly φ-recurrent Sasakian manifolds. The existence of generalized φ-recurrent Sasakian manifold is given by a proper example.

Algebraicity of Induced Riemannian Curvature Tensor on Lightlike Warped Product Manifolds

Lightlike warped product manifolds are considered in this paper. The geometry of lightlike submanifolds is difficult to study since the normal vector bundle intersects with the tangent bundle. Due to the degenerate metric, the induced connection is not metric and it follows that the Riemannian curvature tensor is not algebraic. In this situation, some basic techniques of calulus are not useable. In this paper, we consider lightlike warped product as submanifold of semi-Riemannian manifold and establish some remarkable geometric properties from which we establish some conditions on the algebraicity of the induced Riemannian curvature tensor.

Geodesic Lightlike Submanifolds of Indefinite Sasakian Manifolds

In this paper, we study geodesic contact CR-lightlike submanifolds and geodesic screen CR-lightlike (SCR) submanifolds of indefinite Sasakian manifolds. Some necessary and sufficient conditions for totally geodesic, mixed geodesic, -geodesic and -geodesic contact CR-lightlike submanifolds and SCR submanifolds are obtained.
