This paper describes a simulation-based intelligent decision support system (IDSS) for real time control of a flexible manufacturing system (FMS) with machine and tool flexibility. The manufacturing processes involved in FMS are complicated since each operation may be done by several machining centers. The system design approach is built around the theory of dynamic supervisory control based on a rule-based expert system. The paper considers flexibility in operation assignment and scheduling of multi-purpose machining centers which have different tools with their own efficiency. The architecture of the proposed controller consists of a simulator module coordinated with an IDSS via a real time event handler for implementing inter-process synchronization. Pursuing the green manufacturing (GM) of products i s very beneficial in the alleviation of environment burdens. In order to reap such benefits, green manufacturing is involved in every aspect of manufacturing proc esses. During the machining process, cutting fluid is one of the main roots of e nvironmental pollution. And how to make an optimal selection for cutting fluid f or GM is an important path to reduce the environmental pollution. The objective factors of decision-making problems in the traditional selection of cutting flu id are usually two: quality and cost. But from the viewpoint of GM, environmenta l impact (E) should be considered together. In this paper, a multi-object d ecision-making model of cutting fluid selection for GM is put forward, in which the objects of Quality (Q), Cost(C) and Environmental impact (E) are considered together. In this model, E means to minimize the environmental impact, Q means to maximize the quality and C means to minimize the cost. Each objective is anal yzed in detail too. A case study on a decision-making problem of cutting fluid selection in a gear hobbing process is analyzed, and the result shows the model is practical. 展开更多

The method is improved in the present work by integrating with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic is introduced to handle the imprecision of the human decision making process. The proposed decision making framework is practical for ranking competing software products in terms of their overall performance with respect to multiple criteria. Sustainable manufacturing for obsolete computers based on 3R engineering

The volume tendency of in-use and end-of-life computers in China were analyzed; the emerging danger of obsolete computers by incorrect treatment was summarized; the integration disposal technologies based on 3R (recycle, remanufacture and reuse) engineering aiming at monitors, electronic devices, metals, plastics materials, and overall computers were put forward; the economic and social benefits were also analyzed. The results show that the integration disposal process of obsolete computer is an optimum approach to save the resource of electromechanical products. Remanufacturing and disposal 100 thousand obsolete computers per year can create profits about RMB10million yuan and provide employment for 300 persons. It can be deduced that there are great potential opportunities for the obsolete computers disposal industry containing recycle, remanufacture and reuse engineering. 展开更多

Green manufacturing is a mode to realize environmental friendliness by considering the environmental impact and energy consumption in manufacturing process.In order to make an environmental friendly assessment for manufacturing process,a multi-criteria decision making( MCDM) model combined with fuzzy analytic hierarchy process( FAHP) and fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution( FTOPSIS) is proposed in this work.The environmental and resource criteria and manufacturing process objects are identified as the first step.Then,the weights of the criteria are calculated by FAHP.Finally,based on experts' evaluation using fuzzy words,the manufacturing process objects are ranked by FTOPSIS.The proposed methodology is applied to a gear shaft manufacturing.The sensitivity analysis and comparisons are implemented to prove its robustness and effectiveness for the ecofriendly assessment for process objects. 展开更多

One challenge is the analysis of such systems that generate huge amounts of (continuously generated) data, potentially containing valuable information useful for several use cases, such as knowledge generation, key performance indicator (KPI) optimization, diagnosis, predication, feedback to design or decision support. A holistic decision support tool for remanufacturing: end-of-life (EOL) strategy planning

Remanufacturing is a key enabler for sustainable production due to its effectiveness in closing the loop on material flows, extending product life cycle and reducing production waste and emission. In this paper, a holistic decision support tool to facilitate the product end-of-life (EOL) strategy planning, specifically using remanufactur- ing as a key strategy is presented. The proposed model incorporates checklist methods to evaluate the viability of conducting remanufactufing for a product and its compo- nents. An optimization model for determining the Pareto set of optimal EOL strategies that correspond to maximum economic profit and minimum environmental impact is presented. Since determination of this Pareto set via enu- meration of all EOL strategies is prohibitively time-con- suming, even for a product with a small number of components, genetic algorithm (GA), specifically NSGA-II has been utilized to achieve rapid calculation of the set of optimum EOL strategies. This NSGA-II method permits extensive sensitivity analysis to understand thoroughly the impact of situational variables, such as reverse logistic cost, technology and replacement part availability, etc., on the EOL decision making, i.e., Pareto front, and thus leading to improved strategy planning and better product design. The case study involving EOL treatment of two types of desktop phones is described to illustrate the utility of the proposed methodology. 展开更多

The product function, technical performance, greenness and economy of the remanufacturing products are no worse than those of the new products. The cost of remanufacturing products is only about 50% of new products. Remanufacturing can save energy 60%, and material 70%, so the adverse impact on the environment is significantly reduced. At present,China's remanufacturing industry is developing rapidly,and the manufacturing pilot has been in full swing.Meanwhile, the policies and regulations, basic theory,key technology, and industry standards of remanufacturing have been continuously innovated and completed. 展开更多

This paper explores a fuzzy analytic network process(FANP)approach in identifying the content of manufacturing strategy infrastructural decisions that integrates sustainability and classical manufacturing strategy framework with firm size component.The findings are as follows:(1)firms must ensure highquality product requirements with a make-to-order production system;(2)large firms must prioritize decentralization of functional areas but they must also provide higher systems integration of all production-related information to mobilize better communication channels;(3)large firms must employ highly skilled human resources in order to provide strong support on functional areas;and(4)small and medium enterprises must focus on product introduction to the market as a strategy priority area.The main contribution of this paper is the decision-making framework under uncertainty that holistically identifies the decisions that comprise a sustainable manufacturing strategy which may serve as guidelines in improving existing sustainable manufacturing practices or in creating new ones. 展开更多

针对租赁设备合作生产过程中可能会出现承租方滥用设备的现象,提出一种考虑设备保护的租赁制造系统生产决策模型与收益调整激励机制,以形成租赁制造的最优生产策略。从设备保护的角度出发,构建考虑承租方对租赁设备使用率和保护程度的... 针对租赁设备合作生产过程中可能会出现承租方滥用设备的现象,提出一种考虑设备保护的租赁制造系统生产决策模型与收益调整激励机制,以形成租赁制造的最优生产策略。从设备保护的角度出发,构建考虑承租方对租赁设备使用率和保护程度的优化模型,以租赁制造系统总收益最大化为目标,确定设备保护的努力程度、设备使用率以及维护后设备状态与如新状态偏差度,即租赁制造系统的最优生产策略。提出一套收益调整激励机制,运用补偿金对合作双方的收益进行调整,并令双方独立决策的最优策略与系统最优策略相同,得到最佳补偿金系数,从而确定收益调整方案。案例研究表明,系统决策模型存在使得总收益最大的最优努力程度和预防维护程度,且系统决策下的最大总收益总是高于独立决策下的最大总收益,提升承租方对设备保护的努力程度和出租方对设备的预防程度,可以减少租赁设备平均故障次数。 展开更多

为实现智能制造企业服务化转型下客户对产品需求实现和交付时间的更高要求,考虑数字孪生的技术成本、需求实现能力和交付时间等因素,分别建立生产型智能制造企业和基于数字孪生的服务型智能制造企业的竞争性定价决策模型,对模型均衡解... 为实现智能制造企业服务化转型下客户对产品需求实现和交付时间的更高要求,考虑数字孪生的技术成本、需求实现能力和交付时间等因素,分别建立生产型智能制造企业和基于数字孪生的服务型智能制造企业的竞争性定价决策模型,对模型均衡解及仿真结果进行对比分析。研究发现:当虚实一致程度带来的效用增益高于数字孪生技术成本时,服务型智造企业才有动力投入数字孪生,但长远看技术成本的增长会被更高的服务效用所抵消;在虚实一致程度边界内外客户对需求实现能力的敏感系数变化对两类智造企业产品定价、需求和利润会产生不同影响;随着客户对产品交付时间的敏感程度增加,数字孪生缩短产品交付时间能够改善服务型智造企业因时间而导致的定价劣势。 展开更多

当前,国际经济和技术联系的变化重构增加了全球供应链体系中高科技供应品供应中断的风险。对于正致力于数智化转型的我国智能制造企业而言,如何平衡面向国内外供应商的高科技产品供应链管理以应对不确定性和提高供应链韧性,已经成为一... 当前,国际经济和技术联系的变化重构增加了全球供应链体系中高科技供应品供应中断的风险。对于正致力于数智化转型的我国智能制造企业而言,如何平衡面向国内外供应商的高科技产品供应链管理以应对不确定性和提高供应链韧性,已经成为一个重要问题。本文构建了一个由存在科技产品品质差异的海外供应商和国内供应商,以及一个我国智能制造商组成的博弈模型,研究存在海外断供风险时,潜在的政府干预措施是否能够提升我国智能制造企业向国内供应商采购的意愿。研究结果表明,政府提供损失补偿会降低制造商对国内供应商产品科技水平的要求门槛,政府损失补偿比例越高,制造商对国内供应品的接受程度越高。进一步研究发现,当国内供应商的产品由于科技水平较低导致其潜在质量风险概率越接近海外断供风险概率时,政府对智能制造企业的损失补偿越能有效提升国内采购意愿,使智能制造企业更多地选择国内供应商。 展开更多
