Thinking on Improving Presentation Teaching-Based on the Empirical Analysis of Presentation in College English Classes of Junior Non-English Majors in Universities of Science and Engineering

Based on the empirical investigation of presentation in college English classes for junior non-English majors in science and engineering universities,the author explains her own thinking on how to improve presentation teaching from four aspects:setting teaching objectives,selecting teaching contents,using teaching methods,and evaluating and implementing methods.

Analysis of the Impact of Inductive Reasoning on the Mathematical Thinking Style of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Students

In this paper,we combine the teaching and learning situation of deaf and hard-of-hearing students in the Linear Algebra course of the Computer Science and Technology major at the Nanjing Normal University of Special Education.Based on the cognitive style of deaf and hard-of-hearing students,we apply example induction,exhaustive induction,and mathematical induction to the teaching of Linear Algebra by utilizing specific course content.The aim is to design comprehensive teaching that caters to the cognitive style characteristics of deaf and hard-of-hearing students,strengthen their mathematical thinking styles such as quantitative thinking,algorithmic thinking,symbolic thinking,visual thinking,logical thinking,and creative thinking,and enhance the effectiveness of classroom teaching and learning outcomes in Linear Algebra for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

Integration of Ideological and Political Education into the Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics Course:A Teaching Design Based on Estimation and Hypothesis Testing

With the rapid development of higher education in China,colleges and universities are facing new challenges and impacts in talent training.Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics is one of the important courses in higher education for science and engineering majors and economics and management majors.Its critical role in cultivating students’thinking skills and improving their problem-solving skills is self-evident.Course ideological and political education construction is an important link in college talent training work.Combining ideological and political education with course teaching can help students establish correct value concepts and play a certain role in improving their comprehensive ability and quality.At present,the construction of ideological and political education in the Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics course still faces some problems,mainly manifested in the lack of attention paid by teachers to course ideological and political education,insufficient exploitation of ideological and political elements,and the simplification of ideological and political education implementation methods.In order to comprehensively deepen the construction of course ideological and political education in line with the actual needs of Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics course teaching,we should strengthen the construction of teacher teams,improve teachers’ability to carry out course ideological and political education,integrate educational resources,develop educational resources for ideological and political education,and innovate teaching methods to improve the overall effect of ideological and political education integration.

A Study on the Application of Audible Thinking Combined with Case Teaching Method in the Teaching of Nursing Room Visits for Trained Nurses

Objective:To investigate the effect of using audible thinking combined with the case teaching method in the teaching of nursing checkups for regulation nurses.Methods:The period was April 2023–April 2024,and a randomized controlled group study was carried out in which 76 regulation nurses in our hospital were randomly divided into a research group and a control group,with 38 regulation nurses in each group.The control group used conventional teaching methods,and the research group used audible thinking combined with the case teaching method,comparing the two groups’independent learning ability scores,assessment scores,and teaching satisfaction.Results:Independent learning ability score:after teaching,the research group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05);Assessment results:the research group was considerably higher than the control group(P<0.05);Teaching satisfaction:the research group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The use of audible thinking combined with the case teaching method in the teaching of nursing room visits for trained nurses can improve independent learning ability and assessment results and increase teaching satisfaction.

Teaching Mode of Basic Computer Courses Using Theories and Methods of Computational Thinking

In view of the university computer culture foundation of college course,it is proposed that learners use efficient thinking methods to think.They must get rid of the prejudice of traditional teaching"narrow tool theory",based on computing thinking and university computer culture foundation.This paper proposed how to guide learners to use computing thinking to solve related problems in classroom teaching,introduced the application of computing thinking in computer classroom teaching,and proposed a curriculum with"computing thinking"as the core.The teaching method provides a new model for the university computer basic education with the goal of improving students'thinking ability.

A Study of a Moral Dilemma Stories Teaching Model Focusing on the Development of Higher-Order Thinking --"Synthetic polymers" as an example

Cultivating students'higher-order thinking is one of the important goals of modern education,and innovative teaching model is an effective way to achieve this goal.Aiming at the inadequacy of the existing moral dilemma stories approach in the transformation of knowledge and behavior,this research constructs a new Project Based Learning-Ethical Dilemma Stories(PBL-EDS)Teaching Model applicable to China's secondary education stage based on the innovative features of the moral dilemma stories approach on the core competencies,taking the chemistry subject as an example to carry out practice,and puts forward suggestions for the implementation of the teaching model.Chemistry as an example to carry out the practice,and suggestions are made for the implementation of the teaching model.

Research on the Comparison of Critical Thinking and Logical Expression

With the advancement of globalization,university students need not only to master English language skills but also to develop critical thinking and logical expression skills,both of which are crucial for academic and professional success.As an interactive and structured learning activity,English debates provide an effective platform for enhancing these cognitive and linguistic skills.This study investigates the impact of English debates on students’critical thinking and logical expression skills by analyzing pre-and post-debate assessments,survey data,and in-depth interviews with debate participants.The results indicate significant improvements in critical thinking skills,including argumentation logic,rebuttal techniques,and problem awareness.Students also demonstrated notable progress in organizing and expressing complex ideas logically in English.These findings offer valuable insights for English teaching in higher education,suggesting that debates can serve as an effective pedagogical tool for fostering both language and cognitive development in university students.

The Integration Strategy of Class Teacher Management and Mathematics Teaching

The professional and moral education of high school mathematics teachers will make classroom management work better,but their work pressure will also lead to classroom management problems.To do a good job in high school class teacher management and organically integrate it with mathematics teaching,we need to start from two aspects:mathematics teaching class teachers and class teacher work teaching,and penetrate mathematical thinking into daily classroom management,moral education,and classroom culture construction.Based on the attributes of the subject,we guide high school students to reflect after class to stimulate their self-management initiative through the cultivation of qualified class representatives.In addition,it is necessary to skillfully resolve classroom generative problems,change the roles of teachers and students,and integrate classroom management with mathematics teaching.

A Study on High School Mathematics Teaching Design Based on Teaching for Robust Understanding: Taking the Cosine Theorem as an Example

Teachers’teaching behavior plays a crucial role in students’development,and there are problems in the current teaching behavior of mathematics teachers such as ignoring students’cognitive needs,lack of equal opportunities for students’classroom performance as well as lack of formative evaluation of students.In order to solve the phenomenon,this paper analyzes and explains how to promote teaching based on the Teaching for Robust Understanding(TRU)evaluation framework with the goal of focusing on the development of all students,taking the teaching design of The Cosine Theorem as an example,and provides ideas and methods for first-line high school mathematics teachers.

The Ways of Thinking in a Sample of the Student Community of the Subjects of Structured Programming and Numerical Methods in Engineering of the UAM-Azcapotzalco within the Emerging Remote Teaching Project (PEER)

Due to the pandemic that is currently being experienced worldwide, educational institutions (HEIs) have had to reinvent and innovate the mode of teaching, in order to continue the process of training students at all educational levels. Higher education has not been immune to this situation, the institutions of this educational level face various challenges in remote teaching: one of them, perhaps the most important, was to answer the question: How to get the student to continue their undergraduate studies remotely? In this sense, it was necessary, on the part of the students and the teachers, a preparation to go from the face-to-face to the virtual mode. This paper addresses the specific case of the analysis of the teaching-learning process of the Teaching-Learning Unit (UEA for its acronym in Spanish) of Structured Programming and Numerical Methods for Engineering at the undergraduate level, at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Unidad Azcapotzalco (UAM-A) and its relation to the student’s way of thinking. Likewise, the analysis will be carried out if the way of thinking of the students of the sample influences their academic performance when studying the subject of Structured Programming and Numerical Methods for Engineering.

Exploration and Thinking of teaching supervision in higher vocational colleges

Investigation of Critical Thinking Tendency of Engineering Students and Analysis of Teaching Countermeasures

“New Engineering”construction puts forward higher requirements for the critical thinking ability of engineering talents in the future.With“California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory Chinese Revision”,the critical thinking tendency of engineering majors in local engineering colleges was investigated and analyzed.The results showed that the critical thinking level of the engineering students was obviously lower.According to the findings and teaching practice,this paper gives some teaching countermeasures to strengthen the cultivation of critical thinking of engineering students.

Negative Cultural Transfer in English Teaching and Its Alleviating Principles

Teaching English as a foreign language is not tantamount to elaborating on syntactic structures or learning new vocabulary and expressions, but should incorporate some cultural elements which are intertwined with the language itself. The main premise of the paper is that effective communication is more than a matter of linguistic proficiency and the learner's pragmatic competence is more or less arrested by the negative cultural transfer from the mother tongue, and based on that premise, the paper analyses the reasons behind negative cultural transfer from the lexical dimension, the speech act dimension, and the psychological dimension, and concludes with a tripartite toolkit of alleviating principles respectively corresponding to the classroom instruction, the teachers, and the students.

Research and Practice of Moral Education in Higher Mathematics Teaching in the New Era

This paper first analyses the reasons for the low effectiveness of moral education in the current higher mathematics teaching,and then puts forward the contents,methods,and approaches of integrating moral education into higher mathematics teaching in the new era on this basis,and finally finds out the points for attention in the integration of moral education in higher mathematics teaching in the new era.Theoretically,the moral education content is innovated.We should set up the moral education idea of students as the foundation and moral education as the first,establish the attainable goals of moral education in different stages and levels,excavate the moral education resources contained in the current real life and social hot spots,and pay attention to the inheritance and enlightenment of Chinese excellent traditional culture,especially the mathematical culture and history in moral education.In practice,the moral education methods are improved and the moral education approaches are broadened.Moral education methods should be close to reality and life,should adapt to students’personality and hobbies,and should be diversified.Moral education can be carried out by improving the working mechanism of moral education management,publicity,and so on,strengthening the construction of moral education team and creating an atmosphere of full staff education.

Critical Thinking II: Teaching Strategies to Foster Critical Thinking in Undergraduate Nursing Students: A Case Analysis Approach

Due to increasingly complex issues,challenging and acutely ill patients,advancing technology and ethical dilemmas it is important that nurses are able to think critically to improve patient outcomes.Therefore,nurse educators continually seek to identify effective learning strategies that foster critical thinking in their undergraduate students to make theoretical and clinical teaching seamless.Therefore,the purpose of this article is to describe the role of the nurse educator in helping nursing students to think critically.We will examine a case analysis and describe various teaching strategies that support critical thinking,can increase student learning,and aid in the provision of nursing care.

Teaching Reform and Practice on Course Construction of Discrete Mathematics

Discrete mathematics studies the respective structures,laws and interrelationships of different discrete quantities,which has a wide range of applications in computer science and software engineering.It has the characteristics of research,practice and innovation.The teaching goals of the course of discrete mathematics include not only the understanding and mastery of knowledge,but also the study of methodology.However,current teaching mechanism has limitations in outdated course contents,rare real project examples and nonscientific scoring modes.This paper attempts to think about the course construction of discrete mathematics to improve the teaching effects and cultivate students’practical ability.
