Our results demonstrated that the accessory preoperative transcatheter arterial embolization with gelfoam for vascular malformations could effectively decrease blood loss and blood transfusion, keep the operative feild clear, shorten operative time, Facilitate radical resection of the lesion and improve the successful rate of operation.
