Due to the existence of radiation-induced conductivity, it decays fast in the...Surface potential decay of polymers for electrical insulation can help to determine the dark conductivity for spacecraft charging analysis. Due to the existence of radiation-induced conductivity, it decays fast in the first few hours after irradiation and exponentially slowly for the remaining time. The measurement of dark conductivity with this method usually takes the slow part and needs a couple of days. Integrating the Fowler formula into the deep dielectric charging equations, we obtain a new expression for the fast decay part. The experimental data of different materials, dose rates and temperatures are fitted by the new expression. Both the dark conductivity and the radiation-induced conductivity are derived and compared with other methods. The result shows a good estimation of dark conductivity and radiation-induced conductivity in high-resistivity polymers, which enables a fast measurement of dielectric conductivity within about 600 rain after irradiation.展开更多

However, if we use moving range sensors, the obtained data have some distortions due to the movement of...To measure the 3D shape of large objects, scanning by a moving range sensor is one of the most efficient methods. However, if we use moving range sensors, the obtained data have some distortions due to the movement of the sensor during the scanning process. In this paper, we propose a method for recovering correct 3D range data from a moving range sensor by using the multiple view geometry under projective projections in space-time. We assume that range sensor radiates laser beams in a raster scan order, and they are observed from two cameras. We first show that we can deal with range data as 2D images, and show that the extended multiple view geometry can be used for representing the relationship between the 2D image of range data and the 2D image of cameras. We next show that the extended multiple view geometry can be used for rectifying 3D data obtained by the moving range sensor. The method is implemented and tested in synthetic images and range data. The stability of the recovered 3D shape is also evaluated.展开更多

An optical probe suitable for measuring the diffuse reflectance spectrum of human palm and a non-invasive blood glucose detection system using NIR spectroscopy are designed. Based on this system, oral glucose tolerance tests are performed to measure the blood glucose concentrations of two young healthy volunteers. The partial least square calibration model is then constructed by all individual experimental data. The final result shows that correlation coefficients of the two experiments between the predicted blood glucose concentrations and the reference blood glucose concentrations are 0.9870 and 0.9854, respectively. The root mean square errors of prediction of full cross validation are 0.54 and 0.52 mmol/1, respectively.展开更多

The measurement accuracy of the aberration is improved and the local error of the lens can be got. In the method, no change of the Hartmann screen is needed for measuring the lenses of different aperture sizes. Due to an acoustic force acts on the surface of piezoelectric ceramic plate, the piezoelectric response was obtained by means of electromechanical analogy, which was composed of voltage response caused by forced vibration and high frequency attenuation response caused by natural vibration. The conversion relationship between output signal of piezoelectric ceramic plate and acoustic power of transducer was analyzed. The envelope of output piezoelectric signal was extracted in twice, and a voltage amplitude curve with sinusoidal distribution that could describe the changes of acoustic power was obtained. Under different drive voltage of transducer, the maximum peak voltage of envelope curve was found respectively. Their squared values were made a linear fitting with acoustic power measured by acoustic power meter, and then the proportional coefficient of theoretical relational expression was calibrated. The experimental results are in good agreement with the theory. The relative error between calibrated theoretical acoustic power and that measured by acoustic power meter was less than 8.7%. The paper can provide a guideline for measuring acoustic power of transducer by using piezoelectric signal.展开更多

After the sampling period,in which the partial pressure of dissolved oxygen in test solution becomes in equilibrium with that in the gas chamber,the TLGE is polarized with square wave or linear potential signal.Then the Faradaic charge (Q) consumed in depletion of the oxygen contained in pores of TLGE is measured.The main merits of this system are good linearity between the partial pressure of dissolved oxygen in test solution and Q,low zero-reading,negligible liquid-gas difference,con- venient calibration and very low temperature coefficient(ca.0.5%/℃).This technique can also be applied to the measurement of oxygen partial pressure in gas phases.展开更多
