The purpose of this study was to clarify the effects of differences in molding mechanisms on the lower molding temperature limit and molding time in dental thermoforming. Ethylene vinyl acetate resin mouthguard sheet and two thermoforming machines;vacuum blower molding machine and vacuum ejector/pressure molding machine were used. The molding pressures for suction molding were −0.018 MPa for vacuum blower molding and −0.090 MPa for vacuum ejector molding, and for pressure molding was set to 0.090 MPa or 0.450 MPa. Based on the manufacturer’s standard molding temperature of 95˚C, the molding temperature was lowered in 2.5˚C increments to determine the lower molding temperature limit at which no molding defects occurred. In order to investigate the difference in molding time depending on the molding mechanism, the duration of molding pressure was adjusted in each molding machine, and the molding time required to obtain a sample without molding defects was measured. The molding time of each molding machine were compared using one-way analysis of variance. The lower molding temperature limit was 90.0˚C for the vacuum blower machine, 77.5˚C for the vacuum ejector machine, 77.5˚C for the pressure molding machine at 0.090 MPa, and 67.5˚C for the pressure molding machine at 0.45 MPa. The lower molding temperature limit was higher for lower absolute values of molding pressure. The molding time was shorter for pressure molding than for suction molding. Significant differences were observed between all conditions except between the pressure molding machine at 0.090 MPa and 0.45 MPa (P < 0.01). A comparison of the differences in lower molding temperature limit and molding time due to molding mechanisms in dental thermoforming revealed that the lower molding temperature limit depends on the molding pressure and that the molding time is longer for suction molding than for pressure molding.展开更多

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA) and European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ECMWF) have released their latest reanalysis product: the modern-era retrospective analysis for research and applications, version 2(MERRA-2) and the fifthgeneration ECMWF reanalysis(ERA5), respectively. Based on the reanalysis data, we evaluate and analyze the accuracy of the surface temperature and pressure products in China using the the measured temperature and pressure data from 609 ground meteorological stations in 2017 as reference values. Then the accuracy of the two datasets and their performances in estimating GNSS PWV are analyzed. The PWV derived from the pressure and temperature products of ERA5 and MERRA-2 has high accuracy. The annual average biases of pressure and temperature for ERA5 are-0.07 hPa and 0.45 K, with the root mean square error(RMSE) of 0.95 hPa and 2.04 K, respectively. The annual average biases of pressure and temperature for MERRA-2 are-0.01 hPa and 0.38 K, with the RMSE of 1.08 h Pa and 2.66 K, respectively. The accuracy of ERA5 is slightly higher than that of MERRA-2. The two reanalysis data show negative biases in most regions of China, with the highest to lowest accuracy in the following order: the south, north, northwest, and Tibet Plateau. Comparing the GNSS PWV calculated using MERRA-2(GNSS MERRA-2 PWV) and ERA5(GNSS ERA5 PWV) with the radiosonde-derived PWV from 48 co-located GNSS stations and the measured PWV of the co-location radiosonde stations, it is found that the accuracy of GNSS ERA5 PWV is better than that of GNSS MERRA-2 PWV. These results show the different applicability of surface temperature and pressure products from MERRA-2 and ERA5 data, indicating that both have important applications in meteorological research and GNSS water vapor monitoring in China.展开更多

The results show that the microscopic porosity and permeability change and the macroscopic rock deformation are mutually constrained, both showing the trend of steep and then gentle variation. At the maximum temperature and pressure, the porosity reduces by 34%–71%, and the permeability decreases by 85%–97%. With the rising temperature and pressure, deep shale undergoes plastic deformation in which organic pores and clay mineral pores are compressed and microfractures are closed, and elastic deformation in which brittle mineral pores and rock skeleton particles are compacted. Compared with previous experiments under high confining pressure and normal temperature, the experiment under high temperature and high pressure coupling reveals the effect of high temperature on stress sensitivity of porosity and permeability. High temperature can increase the plasticity of the rock, intensify the compression of pores due to high confining pressure, and induce thermal stress between the rock skeleton particles, allowing the reopening of shale bedding or the creation of new fractures along weak planes such as bedding, which inhibits the decrease of permeability with the increase of temperature and confining pressure. Compared with the triaxial mechanical experiment at normal temperature, the triaxial compression experiment at high temperature and high pressure demonstrates that the compressive strength and peak strain of deep shale increase significantly due to the coupling of temperature and pressure. The compressive strength is up to 435 MPa and the peak strain exceeds 2%, indicating that high temperature is not conducive to fracture initiation and expansion by increasing rock plasticity. Lithofacies and mineral composition have great impacts on the porosity, permeability and rock mechanics of deep shale. Shales with different lithologies are different in the difficulty and extent of brittle failure. The stress-strain characteristics of rocks under actual geological conditions are key support to the optimization of reservoir stimulation program.展开更多

The objective of this study was to evaluate the contribution of ABPM in the diagnosis and evaluation of the level of control of hypertension under treatment at the Bel Air international clinic. Materials and Methods: This is a retrospective, cross-sectional and descriptive study, carried out at the Bel Air International Clinic in Conakry (Guinea) between January 2019 and November 30, 2022. It included a consecutive series of 180 consenting patients recruited through an ambulatory measurement of 24-hour blood pressure from a FUGADA brand device. Results: We collected 180 patients, with a male predominance (sex-ratio M/F = 2.46). The mean age of the patients was 48.48 ± 14.23 years. The most represented age group was that of 32 to 42 years with 50 cases (27.8%) followed by that of 43 to 52 years with 42 cases or 23.3%. The indication was for diagnostic purposes in 106 cases 58.9%, the therapeutic evaluation in 58 patients (32.2%). The examination was prescribed by a cardiologist in 98 cases (54.4%), a general practitioner in 71 cases (39.4%), a neurologist in 11 cases (6.1%). In the therapeutic evaluation, high blood pressure was controlled in 24 patients (13.3%) and uncontrolled in 34 cases (18.9%). In the diagnostic indication, high blood pressure was confirmed in 79 cases (43.9%) with a statistically significant link (Chi2 = 4.57 and p-value = 0.032). The nycthemeral mean was 187.27 ± 26.22 mmHg for systolic blood pressure (SBP) and 110.37 ± 19.06 mmHg for diastolic blood pressure (DBP), during the day, 151.64 ± 21.45 mmHg for SBP and 71.59 ± 8.67 mmHg for diastolic blood pressure. During the study 65 patients (36.1%) were identified as dippers and 115 patients (63.9%) were no-dipping. The antihypertensive protocol used was monotherapy in 68 cases (37.8%), dual therapy in 46 cases (25.6%), triple therapy in 17 cases (9.4%). However 39 patients or 21.7% were not taking any antihypertensive. Conclusion: This preliminary study, despite the modest sample size, showed the importance of ABPM as a tool for diagnosis, monitoring of hypertensive patients and therapeutic adaptation. A large-scale national study would be necessary for the rational use of ambulatory blood pressure measurement in our context in order to improve the management of hypertensive patients.展开更多

Attributed to the presence of additive phosphorus, the pressure and temperature condition, morphology, and color of diamond crystals change obviously. The pressure and temperature condition of diamond growth increases evidently with the increase of additive phosphorus content and results in the moving up of the V-shape region. The surfaces of the diamonds also become coarse as the additive phosphorus added in the growth system. Raman spectra indicate that diamonds grown from the Fe Ni-phosphorus-carbon system have more crystal defects and impurities. This work provides a new way to enrich the doping of diamond and improve the experimental exploration for future material applications.展开更多

Acetonitrile/water mixing resulted in temperature reduction of solutions whereas metha-nol/water mixing caused temperature increases. On the other hand, maximum recorded chromatographic pressure of acetonitrile:water mixtures occurred at a solvent ratio of 1:6 compared with methanol:water, which showed a maximum pressure at a solvent ratio of 1:1. These findings can be of use in stabilizing re-tention time shifts during HPLC-based studies associated with compound identification based on retention time such as analysis of complex mixtures.展开更多

The results indicate that in this system there are 5 major fluid phases in different pro-portions at various T and P. CH4 is the dominant phase (about 70% ) under relatively lower T and P. Its proportion obviously decreases with increasing T, P and fo2. A comparison of the differences in lower molding temperature limit and molding time due to molding mechanisms in dental thermoforming revealed that the lower molding temperature limit depends on the molding pressure and that the molding time is longer for suction molding than for pressure molding.
文摘Objective:To explore the relationships among ambient temperature, ischemic stroke severity, and blood pressure. Methods:Meteorological data(2005–2015)were collected from the Guangzhou Meteorological Data Service.Ischemic stroke patients from the Department of Neurology of the First Affiliated Hospital,Sun Yat-sen University were retrospectively evaluated, each winter from 2005 to 2015.Patient demographics, baseline measurements, and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score were evaluated. Results:Three hundred sixty-two patients were included. The median latency from symptom onset to admission was 2 d(IQR:1–3 d).During recruitment, the highest and lowest temperatures were 39℃and 1.3℃,respectively.Hypertension was the most common comorbidity(75.1%).NIHSS scores at admission and discharge were higher in the cold-exposed group than in the controls regardless of the average temperature at admission. In addition, systolic and diastolic blood pressure values at admission were higher in the cold-exposed group than in the controls. When stratified by hypertensive status, the average and minimum temperatures at admission were negatively associated with systolic and diastolic blood pressure values in hypertensive patients.Reductions in the average and minimum temperatures at symptom onset were associated with more severe stroke. Conclusion:Ischemic stroke patients with symptom onset in winter had higher systolic blood pressure values and more serious neurologic deficits upon admission.

文摘Temperature and pressure play key roles in Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) precipitable water vapor(PWV) retrieval. These results show the different applicability of surface temperature and pressure products from MERRA-2 and ERA5 data, indicating that both have important applications in meteorological research and GNSS water vapor monitoring in China.

文摘To investigate the porosity, permeability and rock mechanics of deep shale under temperature-pressure coupling, we selected the core samples of deep shale from the Lower Silurian Longmaxi Formation in the Weirong and Yongchuan areas of the Sichuan Basin for porosity and permeability experiments and a triaxial compression and sound wave integration experiment at the maximum temperature and pressure of 120 ℃ and 70 MPa. The stress-strain characteristics of rocks under actual geological conditions are key support to the optimization of reservoir stimulation program.

文摘In order to investigate the problem of long-term strength retrogression in oil well cement systems exposed to high pressure and high temperature(HPHT)curing conditions, various influencing factors, including cement sources, particle sizes of silica flour, and additions of silica fume, alumina, colloidal iron oxide and nano-graphene,were investigated. To simulate the environment of cementing geothermal wells and deep wells, cement slurries were directly cured at 50 MPa and 200?C.Mineral compositions(as determined by X-ray diffraction Rietveld refinement),water permeability, compressive strength and Young’s modulus were used to evaluate the qualities of the set cement.Short-term curing(2e30 d)test results indicated that the adoption of 6 m m ultrafine crystalline silica played the most important role in stabilizing the mechanical properties of oil well cement systems, while the addition of silica fume had a detrimental effect on strength stability.Long-term curing(2e180 d)test results indicated that nano-graphene could stabilize the Young’s modulus of oil well cement systems. However, none of the ad-mixtures studied here can completely prevent the strength retrogression phenomenon due to their inability to stop the conversion of amorphous to crystalline phases.

文摘Air channeling in the annulus between the casing and the cement sheath and/or between the cement sheath and formation is the main factor affecting the safe operation of natural gas wells at high temperatures and pressures.Prevention of this problem requires,in general, excellent anti-channeling performances of the cement sheath.Three methods to predict such anti-channeling performances are proposed here, which use the weightless pressure of cement slurry, the permeability of cement stone and the volume expansion rate of cement sheath as input parameters.Guided by this approach, the anti-channeling performances of the cement slurry are evaluated by means of indoor experiments, and the cement slurry is optimized accordingly. The results show that the dangerous transition time of the cement slurry with optimized dosage of admixture is only 76 min,the permeability of cement stone is 0.005 md,the volume shrinkage at final setting is only 0.72%,and the anti-channeling performances are therefore maximized. The effective utilization of the optimized cement slurry in some representative wells(LD10–1-A1 and LD10–1-A2 in LD10–1 gas field)is also discussed.

文摘Silicon carbide(SiC)is a high-performance structural ceramic material with excellent comprehensive properties, and is unmatched by metals and other structural materials. In this paper, raw SiC powder with an average grain size of 5μm was sintered by an isothermal-compression process at 5.0 GPa and 1500?C;the maximum hardness of the sintered samples was31.3 GPa.Subsequently, scanning electron microscopy was used to observe the microscopic morphology of the recovered SiC samples treated in a temperature and extended pressure range of 0-1500?C and 0-16.0 GPa,respectively.Defects and plastic deformation in the SiC grains were further analyzed by transmission electron microscopy.Further,high-pressure in situ synchrotron radiation x-ray diffraction was used to study the intergranular stress distribution and yield strength under non-hydrostatic compression. This study provides a new viewpoint for the sintering of pure phase micron-sized SiC particles.
文摘The mechanical behavior of the test string in deep wells is generally relatively complex as a result of the high temperature and high pressure, severe dogleg and buckling effects, which in some circumstances can even lead to string failure.Traditional computational methods for the analysis of these behaviors are often inaccurate. For this reason, here a more accurate mechanical model of the test string is introduced by considering variables such as temperature, pressure, wellbore trajectory, and buckling,as well as combining them with the deformation and string constraint conditions brought in by changes in temperature and pressure during the tripping, setting, and test operations. The model is validated by applying it to a specific high-pressure gas well(located in Northeast Sichuan).

文摘Introduction: Ambulatory Blood Pressure Measurement (ABPM) is a non- invasive examination recommended for subjects at high cardiovascular risk, and those requiring a nocturnal drop in BP such as elderly and obese subjects, those with secondary hypertension or resistant, diabetics, subjects with metabolic syndrome or sleep apnea syndrome. A large-scale national study would be necessary for the rational use of ambulatory blood pressure measurement in our context in order to improve the management of hypertensive patients.
文摘Aiming at deep roadway anchorage solids, laboratory similar model tests were used to reveal the mechanical properties of anchorage solids with different anchorage lengths under the coupling effect of temperature and pressure, and SPSS statistical analysis software was used to conduct linear regression analysis of the ultimate anchorage force obtained from the tests. The results show that: through multiple linear regression analysis, the influence degree of temperature and pressure coupling on the ultimate anchorage force is arranged in order of anchoring length > surrounding rock strength > temperature > side pressure coefficient, and the linear regression equation of the model is obtained. Compared with the linear regression equation of simulation results, the model has a high explanatory ability.

文摘This paper reports the crystal growth of diamond from the Fe Ni–Carbon system with additive phosphorus at high pressures and high temperatures of 5.4–5.8 GPa and 1280–1360°C. This work provides a new way to enrich the doping of diamond and improve the experimental exploration for future material applications.
文摘The mechanical properties, such as the elastic constants C11, C12, C44, and bulk, Young's, and shear moduli, of a Ga x In1-x As y P1-y alloy lattice matching to a Ga As substrate are calculated for various As concentrations. The calculations are based on the pseudo-potential method within the virtual crystal approximation containing the effective disorder potential. The variations of the studied properties with pressure and temperature are investigated. A comparison between the calculated results and the available published data for binary parent compounds shows that they have good agreement, while the calculated results for the quaternary alloys at various temperature and pressure may be taken as a reference.
文摘Temperature and pressure were shown to vary significantly with solvent mixing, showing maxima at differ-ent solvent ratios. These findings can be of use in stabilizing re-tention time shifts during HPLC-based studies associated with compound identification based on retention time such as analysis of complex mixtures.

To demonstrate the capabilities of the system for condensed matter research, the emergence of some pressure-induced phenomena and physics related to superconductivity found previously is also introduced, and then a perspective for such an advanced high-pressure system is presented.
文摘Based on the fluid phase equilibrium of the C-O-H system, the compositions of var-ious fluid phases under high temperatures and pressures have been calculated in terms of the available thermodynamic data and new P-V-T data and on the assumption of PT = ΣPi in this paper. The results indicate that in this system there are 5 major fluid phases in different pro-portions at various T and P. CH4 is the dominant phase (about 70% ) under relatively lower T and P. Its proportion obviously decreases with increasing T, P and fo2. The results pro-vide sufficient theoretical grounds for discussing the possibility of CH4 formation and the physical-chemical conditions of its stable occurrence and proportion in the geological environment.
