However, the elements produced by conventional FEM are easily inaccurate andunstable when applied. Therefore, developing new elements within the framework of the generalized variationalprinciple is of great significance. In this paper, an 8-node plane hybrid finite element with 15 parameters (PHQ8-15β) is developed for structural mechanics problems based on the Hellinger-Reissner variational principle.According to the design principle of Pian, 15 unknown parameters are adopted in the selection of stress modes toavoid the zero energy modes.Meanwhile, the stress functions within each element satisfy both the equilibrium andthe compatibility relations of plane stress problems. Space time describes strength of fundamental force. In this paper, Einstein’s general relativity equation has been described in terms of contraction and expansion forces of space time. According to this, the space time with Planck diameter is a flat space time. This is the only diameter of space time that can be used as signal transformation in special relativity. This space time diameter defines the fundamental force which belongs to that space time. In quantum mechanics, this space time diameter is only the quantum of space which belongs to that particular fundamental force. Einstein’s general relativity equation and Planck parameters of quantum mechanics have been written in terms of equations containing a constant “K”, thus found a new equation for transformation of general relativity space time in to quantum space time. In this process of synchronization, there is a possibility of a new fundamental force between electromagnetic and gravitational forces with Planck length as its space time diameter. It is proposed that dark matter is that fundamental force carrying particle. By grand unification equation with space-time diameter, we found a coupling constant as per standard model “αs” for that fundamental force is 1.08 × 10-23. Its energy calculated as 113 MeV. A group of experimental scientists reported the energy of dark matter particle as 17 MeV. Thorough review may advance science further.展开更多

SI units also violate the principle of general covariance—the general rule for defining continuous coordinates and units in mathematics and mathematical physics. After 30+ years of wrestling with these problems, the ultimate authority on units of measure has declared that Newton–meter and Joule are not equivalent in rotational mechanics, as they are in the rest of physics. This article proposes a simple modification to SI units called “Nonstandard International units” (“NI units”) until a better name is agreed upon. NI units yield correct numerical results and physically correct units of measure, and they satisfy the principle of general covariance. The main obstacle to the adoption of NI units is the consensus among users that the radius of rotation should have the unit meter because the radius can be measured with a ruler. NI units assigned to radius should have units meter/radian because the radius is a conversion factor between angular size and circumferential length, as in arclength = rθ. To manage the social consensus behind SI units, the author recommends retaining SI units as they are, and informing users who want correct units that NI units solve the technical problems of SI units.展开更多

The results show that the microscopic porosity and permeability change and the macroscopic rock deformation are mutually constrained, both showing the trend of steep and then gentle variation. At the maximum temperature and pressure, the porosity reduces by 34%–71%, and the permeability decreases by 85%–97%. With the rising temperature and pressure, deep shale undergoes plastic deformation in which organic pores and clay mineral pores are compressed and microfractures are closed, and elastic deformation in which brittle mineral pores and rock skeleton particles are compacted. Compared with previous experiments under high confining pressure and normal temperature, the experiment under high temperature and high pressure coupling reveals the effect of high temperature on stress sensitivity of porosity and permeability. High temperature can increase the plasticity of the rock, intensify the compression of pores due to high confining pressure, and induce thermal stress between the rock skeleton particles, allowing the reopening of shale bedding or the creation of new fractures along weak planes such as bedding, which inhibits the decrease of permeability with the increase of temperature and confining pressure. Compared with the triaxial mechanical experiment at normal temperature, the triaxial compression experiment at high temperature and high pressure demonstrates that the compressive strength and peak strain of deep shale increase significantly due to the coupling of temperature and pressure. The compressive strength is up to 435 MPa and the peak strain exceeds 2%, indicating that high temperature is not conducive to fracture initiation and expansion by increasing rock plasticity. Lithofacies and mineral composition have great impacts on the porosity, permeability and rock mechanics of deep shale. Shales with different lithologies are different in the difficulty and extent of brittle failure. The stress-strain characteristics of rocks under actual geological conditions are key support to the optimization of reservoir stimulation program.展开更多

The process can be measured in plant, animal, and human usage through a variety of experimental or testing forms. Animal studies were conducted for which, in the first day of the study all the animals consistently gained dramatic weight, even as a toxic substance was introduced as described in the introduction of the paper to harm animal subjects which induced weight loss through toxicity. Tests can be made by incorporating blood report results. Human patients were also observed to show improvement to their health as administration of the substance was introduced to the biological mechanism and plants were initially exposed to the substance to observe results. This is consistent with the Tiêu equation which provides that wave function is created as the introduction of the substance to the biological mechanism which supports Quantum Mechanics. The Tiêu equation demonstrates that Quantum Mechanics moves a particle by temperature producing energy thru the blood-brain barrier for example. Methods: The methods for the Tiêu equation incorporate animal studies to include the substance administered through laboratory standards using Good Laboratory Practices under Title 40 C.F.R. § 158. Human patients were treated with the substance by medical professionals who are experts in their field and have knowledge to the response of patients. Plant applications were acquired for observation and guidance of ongoing experiments of animals’ representative for the biologics mechanism. Results: The animal studies along with patient blood testing results have been an impressive line that has followed the Tiêu equation to consistently show improvement in the introduction of the innovation to biologic mechanisms. The mechanism responds to the substance by producing energy to the mechanism with efficient effect. For plant observations, plant organisms responded, and were seen as showing improvement thru visual observation.展开更多

文摘Cell mechanics is essential to cell development and function, and its dynamics evolution reflects the physiological state of cells. Here,we investigate the dynamical mechanical properties of single cells under various drug conditions, and present two mathematical approaches to quantitatively characterizing the cell physiological state. It is demonstrated that the cellular mechanical properties upon the drug action increase over time and tend to saturate, and can be mathematically characterized by a linear timeinvariant dynamical model. It is shown that the transition matrices of dynamical cell systems significantly improve the classification accuracies of the cells under different drug actions.Furthermore,it is revealed that there exists a positive linear correlation between the cytoskeleton density and the cellular mechanical properties, and the physiological state of a cell in terms of its cytoskeleton density can be predicted from its mechanical properties by a linear regression model. This study builds a relationship between the cellular mechanical properties and the cellular physiological state, adding information for evaluating drug efficacy.

文摘Based on fracture mechanics theory and wing crack model,a three-dimensional strength criterion for hard rock was developed in detail in this paper.Although the basic expression is derived from initiation and propagation of a single crack,it can be extended to microcrack cluster so as to reflect the macroscopic failure characteristic.Besides,it can be derived as HoekeBrown criterion when the intermediate principal stress σ_(2) is equal to the minimum principal stress σ_(3)(Zuo et al.,2015).In addition, the opening direction of the microcrack cluster decreases with the increase of the intermediate principal stress coefficient, which could be described by an empirical function and verified by 10 kinds of hard rocks.Rock strength is influenced by the coupled effect of stress level and the opening direction of the microcrack clusters related to the stress level. As the effects of these two factors on the strength are opposite, the intermediate principal stress effect is induced.

文摘Material identification is critical for understanding the relationship between mechanical properties and the associated mechanical functions. However, material identification is a challenging task, especially when the characteristic of the material is highly nonlinear in nature,as is common in biological tissue. In this work,we identify unknown material properties in continuum solid mechanics via physics-informed neural networks(PINNs).To improve the accuracy and efficiency of PINNs,we develop efficient strategies to nonuniformly sample observational data.We also investigate different approaches to enforce Dirichlet-type boundary conditions(BCs)as soft or hard constraints. Finally,we apply the proposed methods to a diverse set of time-dependent and time-independent solid mechanic examples that span linear elastic and hyperelastic material space. The estimated material parameters achieve relative errors of less than 1%.As such, this work is relevant to diverse applications, including optimizing structural integrity and developing novel materials.

文摘For a special geological structure of columnar jointed rock mass(CJRM),its mechanical properties are strongly affected by the columnar joints. To describe the fracture behaviors of CJRM using the basic theories of interface mechanics for composite materials, the interface stresses of the vertical and horizontal joints, which are the two primary joints in the CJRM under triaxial compression, are studied, and their mathematical expressions are derived based on the superposition principle.Based on the obtained interface stresses of the vertical and horizontal joints in the CJRM,the crack initiation of the joint interface in the CJRM is studied using the maximum circumferential stress theory in fracture mechanics. Moreover, based on this investigation, the fracture behaviors of CJRM are analyzed.According to the results of similar material physical model tests for the CJRM,the theoretical study is verified. Finally, the influence of the mechanical parameters of the CJRM on the joint interface stress is discussed comprehensively.

文摘To study the fluid dynamic response mechanism under the working condition of water injection well borehole, based on the microelement analysis of fluid mechanics and the classical theory of hydrodynamics,a fluid microelement pressure-flow rate relationship model is built to derive and solve the dynamic distribution of fluid pressure and flow rate in the space of well borehole.Combined with the production data of a typical deviated well in China, numerical simulations and analyses are carried out to analyze the dynamic distribution of wellbore pressure at different injection pressures and injection volumes, the delayed and attenuated characteristics of fluid transmission in tube, and the dynamic distribution of wellbore pressure amplitude under the fluctuation of wellhead pressure. The pressure loss along the wellbore has nothing to do with the absolute pressure, and the design of the coding and decoding scheme for wave code communication doesn’t need to consider the absolute pressure during injecting. When the injection pressure is constant, the higher the injection flow rate at the wellhead, the larger the pressure loss along the wellbore. The fluid wave signal delay amplitude mainly depends on the length of the wellbore. The smaller the tubing diameter, the larger the fluid wave signal attenuation amplitude. The higher the target wave code amplitude(differential pressure identification root mean square)generated at the same well depth, the greater the wellhead pressure wave amplitude required to overcome the wellbore pressure loss.
文摘"Elastic-plastic mechanics"is a required course for engineering postgraduates in petroleum colleges and universities, such as students who major in oil and gas storage and transportation engineering. It is the basis for personnel engaged in structural safety assessment. In the past teaching process, the teaching effects of this course were unsatisfactory. There are many reasons for this phenomenon, such as the strong theoretical nature of this course, the need for a large number of formula derivation, the high requirements for students'mechanical foundation and mathematical foundation, the lack of appropriate teaching materials and the slackness of students'minds.Based on years of teaching experience, the teaching team has reformed the existing teaching materials of“Elastic-plastic mechanics”to meet the needs of petroleum colleges and universities. In this reform,we have referred to a large number of published textbooks of“Elasticplastic mechanics”and the experience of textbook construction at home and abroad. The newly compiled textbook of“Elastic-plastic mechanics”plays a certain role in improving the teaching quality of“Elastic-plastic mechanics”in petroleum colleges and universities.
文摘Three recent breakthroughs due to AI in arts and science serve as motivation:An award winning digital image, protein folding, fast matrix multiplication. Many recent developments in artificial neural networks, particularly deep learning(DL),applied and relevant to computational mechanics(solid,fluids,finite-element technology)are reviewed in detail. Both hybrid and pure machine learning(ML)methods are discussed.Hybrid methods combine traditional PDE discretizations with ML methods either(1)to help model complex nonlinear constitutive relations,(2)to nonlinearly reduce the model order for efficient simulation(turbulence),or(3)to accelerate the simulation by predicting certain components in the traditional integration methods.Here,methods(1)and(2)relied on Long-Short-Term Memory(LSTM)architecture, with method(3)relying on convolutional neural networks.Pure ML methods to solve(nonlinear)PDEs are represented by Physics-Informed Neural network(PINN)methods, which could be combined with attention mechanism to address discontinuous solutions. Both LSTM and attention architectures, together with modern and generalized classic optimizers to include stochasticity for DL networks, are extensively reviewed.Kernel machines, including Gaussian processes, are provided to sufficient depth for more advanced works such as shallow networks with infinite width. Not only addressing experts, readers are assumed familiar with computational mechanics, but not with DL,whose concepts and applications are built up from the basics, aiming at bringing first-time learners quickly to the forefront of research.History and limitations of AI are recounted and discussed, with particular attention at pointing out misstatements or misconceptions of the classics, even in well-known references.Positioning and pointing control of a large-deformable beam is given as an example.
文摘Background: The Tiêu equation has a ground roots approach to the process of Quantum Biology and goes deeper through the incorporation of Quantum Mechanics. For plant observations, plant organisms responded, and were seen as showing improvement thru visual observation.
