In this paper,an Observation Points Classifier Ensemble(OPCE)algorithm is proposed to deal with High-Dimensional Imbalanced Classification(HDIC)problems based on data processed using the Multi-Dimensional Scaling(MDS)feature extraction technique.First,dimensionality of the original imbalanced data is reduced using MDS so that distances between any two different samples are preserved as well as possible.Second,a novel OPCE algorithm is applied to classify imbalanced samples by placing optimised observation points in a low-dimensional data space.Third,optimization of the observation point mappings is carried out to obtain a reliable assessment of the unknown samples.Exhaustive experiments have been conducted to evaluate the feasibility,rationality,and effectiveness of the proposed OPCE algorithm using seven benchmark HDIC data sets.Experimental results show that(1)the OPCE algorithm can be trained faster on low-dimensional imbalanced data than on high-dimensional data;(2)the OPCE algorithm can correctly identify samples as the number of optimised observation points is increased;and(3)statistical analysis reveals that OPCE yields better HDIC performances on the selected data sets in comparison with eight other HDIC algorithms.This demonstrates that OPCE is a viable algorithm to deal with HDIC problems. 展开更多

This paper investigates properties of low-thrust hovering, including the feasible region and stability, in terms of the dynamical parameters for elongated asteroids. An approximate rotating mass dipole model, by which the description of the rotational gravitational field is reduced to two independent parameters, is employed to construct normalized dynamical equations. The boundaries of the feasible region are determined by contours representing the magnitude of the active control. The effects of a rotating gravitational field and maximal magnitude of the low thrust on the feasible hovering regions are analyzed with numerical results. The stability conditions are derived according to the forms of the eigenvalues of the linearized equation near the hovering position. The stable regions are then determined by a grid search and the effects of the relevant parameters are analyzed in a parametric way. The results show that a close hovering can be easier to realize near the middle of the asteroid than near the two ends in the sense of both required control magnitude and stability. 展开更多

Advanced solar sailing has been an increasingly attractive propulsion system for highly non-Keplerian orbits.Three new applications of the orbital angular momentum reversal(H-reversal) trajectories using solar sails are presented:space observation,heliocentric orbit transfer and collision orbits with asteroids.A theoretical proof for the existence of double H-reversal trajectories(referred to as‘H2RTs’) is given,and the characteristics of the H2RTs are introduced before a discussion of the mission applications.A new family of H2RTs was obtained using a 3D dynamic model of the two-body frame.In a time-optimal control model,the minimum period H2RTs both inside and outside the ecliptic plane were examined using an ideal solar sail.Due to the quasi-heliostationary property at its two symmetrical aphelia,the H2RTs were deemed suitable for space observation.For the second application,the heliocentric transfer orbit was able to function as the time-optimal H-reversal trajectory,since its perihelion velocity is a circular or elliptic velocity.Such a transfer orbit can place the sailcraft into a clockwise orbit in the ecliptic plane,with a high inclination or displacement above or below the Sun.The third application of the H-reversal trajectory was simulated impacting an asteroid passing near Earth in a head-on collision.The collision point can be designed through selecting different perihelia or different launch windows.Sample orbits of each application were presented through numerical simulation.The results can serve as a reference for theoretical research and engineering design. 展开更多

We present a large sample which includes 82 BL Lac objects with red- shifts below 0.2 from recent literature. We find strong correlations in both flux and luminosity between the radio (5 GHz) and optical bands (5500 A). The correlations in other bands are very weak. Five TeV BL Lacs and two suspect sources are found to have similar properties as high- frequency- peaked BL Lacs (HBLs). Our results suggest that both the radio and optical emissions are from the same radiation mech- anism in the SSC model. The TeV BL Lac candidates should be HBLs or HBL-like objects with small redshifts. 展开更多

The problem of body-fixed hovering over an asteroid using a compact form of nonideal solar sails with a controllable area is investigated. Nonlinear dynamic equations describing the hovering problem are constructed for a spherically symmet- ric asteroid. Numerical solutions of the feasible region for body-fixed hovering are obtained. Different sail models, including the cases of ideal, optical, parametric and solar photon thrust, on the feasible region is studied through numerical simulations. The influence of the asteroid spinning rate and the sail area-to-mass ratio on the feasi- ble region is discussed. The required orientations for the sail and their corresponding variable lightness numbers are given for different hovering radii to identify the feasible region of the body-fixed hovering. An attractive scenario for a mission is introduced to take advantage of solar sail hovering. 展开更多

A synchrotron self-Compton scenario for the very high energy γ-ray emission of the intermediate BL Lacertae object W Comae

W Comae has significant variability in multi-wavelengthes, from radio to gamma-ray bands. A bright outburst in optical and X-ray bands was observed in 1998, and most recently, a strong TeV flare was detected by VERITA... W Comae has significant variability in multi-wavelengthes, from radio to gamma-ray bands. A bright outburst in optical and X-ray bands was observed in 1998, and most recently, a strong TeV flare was detected by VERITAS in 2008. It is the first TeV intermediate-frequency-peaked BL Lacertae source. I find that both the broadband spectral energy distributions (SEDs) which were quasi-simultaneously obtained during the TeV flare and during the optical/X-ray outburst are well fit by using a single-zone synchrotron + synchrotron-self-Compton model. The satisfactory fitting requires a large beaming factor, i.e., δ- 25 and δ- 20 for the TeV flare and the optical/X-ray outburst, respectively, suggesting that both the optical/X-ray outburst and the TeV flare are from a relativistic jet. The size of the emission region of the TeV flare is three times larger than that of the optical/X-ray outburst, and the strength of the magnetic field for the TeV flare is - 14 times smaller than that of the X-ray/optical outburst, likely indicating that the region of the TeV flare is more distant from the core than that of the X-ray/optical outburst. The inverse Compton component of the TeV flare peaks around 1.3 GeV, but it is around 20 MeV for the X-ray/optical outburst, lower than that for the TeV flare by two orders of magnitude. The model predicts that the optical/X-ray outburst might be accompanied by a strong MeV/GeV emission, but the TeV flare may be not associated with the X-ray/optical outburst. The GeV emission is critical for characterizing the SEDs of the optical/X-ray outburst and the TeV flare. The predicted GeV flux is above the sensitivity of Fermi/LAT, and it could be verified with the observations by Fermi/LAT in the near future. 展开更多
