Some attributes are uncertain for evaluation work because of incomplete or limited information and knowledge.It leads to uncertainty in evaluation results.To that end,an evaluation method,uncertainty entropy-based exp...Some attributes are uncertain for evaluation work because of incomplete or limited information and knowledge.It leads to uncertainty in evaluation results.To that end,an evaluation method,uncertainty entropy-based exploratory evaluation(UEEE),is proposed to guide the evaluation activities,which can iteratively and gradually reduce uncertainty in evaluation results.Uncertainty entropy(UE)is proposed to measure the extent of uncertainty.First,the belief degree distributions are assumed to characterize the uncertainty in attributes.Then the belief degree distribution of the evaluation result can be calculated by using uncertainty theory.The obtained result is then checked based on UE to see if it could meet the requirements of decision-making.If its uncertainty level is high,more information needs to be introduced to reduce uncertainty.An algorithm based on the UE is proposed to find which attribute can mostly affect the uncertainty in results.Thus,efforts can be invested in key attribute(s),and the evaluation results can be updated accordingly.This update should be repeated until the evaluation result meets the requirements.Finally,as a case study,the effectiveness of ballistic missiles with uncertain attributes is evaluated by UEEE.The evaluation results show that the target is believed to be destroyed.展开更多

[Method] The C3F samples were collected from 76 base units in Yunnan Province and their conventional chemical components were analyzed, and the evaluation was carded out based on the membership function and hierarchical cluster analysis of cigarette brands H1 and H2 in Yunnan. [Result] The results showed that: (1) Major chemical components of 76 base units were coordinated overall. (2) Total nitrogen of brand H1 was higher than that of the high-quality tobacco leaves by 12.08%; raw tobacco of brands H3 and H2 satisfied the quality requirements of high-quality tobacco in Yunnan; and the total sugar and reducing sugar in flue-cured tobacco of brand H4 were higher those of the high-quality tobacco leaves by 0.76% and 10.3%, respectively. (3) The total sugar, reducing sugar and potassium of tobacco leaves from bases of G1 group were higher than those of tobacco from bases of G2 group by 38.1%, 2.27% and 7.34%, respectively; and total nitrogen and chlorine were lower by 4.69% and 11.11%, respectively; and nicotine contents in tobacco of the two groups were similar. (4) H2 and H3 were not significantly different in main chemical components; H3 and H4 were significantly different in total nitrogen, while other main chemical components were not significant different; and there were no significant differences between H4 and H2. [Conclusion] The quality of tobacco leaves from tobacco base units of G1 and G2 groups was better. Therefore, the evaluation provides theoretical reference for construction of tobacco base units.展开更多

This paper proposes an approach to multi-objective optimisation of an energy management system(EMS) for a DC microgrid that includes a hybrid energy storage system(HESS). The operating and maintenance cost and the loss of power supply probability(LPSP) of the system are used as optimisation targets. The power flows of all distributed generators(DGs) in the DC microgrid during operating period are optimized. Based on the improved differential evolution(DE) algorithm, and by using the multi-objective non-dominated sorting method and the maximum membership degree principle(MMDP) of fuzzy control, the overall satisfaction degree of Pareto solutions to power flow optimization can be obtained. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed EMS optimization scheme, which is able to achieve an effective trade-off between the economy and the reliability of microgrid operation.展开更多

Usually, their induced results could moreobjectively express the potential characteristics and patterns of information systems.Initiative-learning processes can be effectively conducted by system uncertainty, becauseuncertainty is an intrinsic common feature of and also an essential link between information systemsand their induced results. Obviously, the effectiveness of such initiative-learning framework isheavily dependent on the accuracy of system uncertainty measurements. Herein, a more reasonablemethod for measuring system uncertainty is developed based on rough set theory and the conception ofinformation entropy; then a new algorithm is developed on the bases of the new system uncertaintymeasurement and the Skowron's algorithm for mining prepositional default decision rules. Theproposed algorithm is typically initiative-learning. It is well adaptable to system uncertainty. For structures with both random and fuzzy uncertainty,this paper presents a novel method for determining the membership function in fuzzy reliability with the Automatic Updating Extreme Response Surface(AUERS)method.I...For structures with both random and fuzzy uncertainty,this paper presents a novel method for determining the membership function in fuzzy reliability with the Automatic Updating Extreme Response Surface(AUERS)method.In the proposed method,fuzzy variables are initially converted into a value domain under the given cut level and the extreme point in the domain where the reliability reaches its extreme value is considered.Second,the Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)algorithm is used to determine the extreme point according to the extreme responses for different sets of random sample inputs.A kriging response surface is subsequently constructed between the random variables and the corresponding extreme points.An automatic updating strategy is then introduced based on the Relative Mean Square Predicted Error(RMSPE)before performing every iteration of reliability analysis.By adding new sample points,the approximate quality of the kriging response surface is improved.Finally,reliability analysis is used to determine the reliability bound under the given cut level.The proposed method assures the accuracy and computation efficiency of the mixed uncertainty reliability analysis results while it prevents the solution from becoming trapped in a local optimum,which occurs in classical optimization methods.Two example analyses are used to demonstrate the validity and advantages of the proposed method.展开更多
