Possibility of making Al-Pb alloy plate with Pb dispersed uniformly by LDC (Liquid Dynamic Compact) technology has been studied in the present paper. The relationship among the distance between nozzle and cooled base plate and the atomization pressure as well as the density of the Al-Pb alloy slab is measured. The relative density of the LDC Al-Pb alloy slab can reach 90% under condition of the present experiment. Microstructure of the slab consist of equal axial grains with 15 approximately 25 μm in diameter and Pb dispersed uniformly in them. After cold or hot rolling of the slab with reduction of 50 approximately 60%, the microstructure can be densified. The rolled Al-Pb alloy plate can be compacted together with pure Al plate very well. 展开更多

Product/metal ratio (PMR) was introduced as a novel criterion for the evaluation of electrolytes on micro-arc oxidation (MAO) of Mg and its alloys. The criterion initially sprang from Pilling-Bedworth ratio (PBR), focused on the roles of electrolytes for the compactness of the fabricated coatings, and took attention on properties of reactants/products during MAO. Meanwhile, based on our experiments as well as the results from literatures, the effects of electrolyte additives on morphologies and com-positions of the fabricated MAO coatings of Mg alloys were exploited for verification and supplement of the initial criterion. In combination of the initial PMR criterion and experimental verification, PMR could be represented by special mode (PMRs=Voxide products/Valloy substrates) and general mode (PMRg= PMRs+ PMRd). The ideal PMRs should be between 1 and 2, while PMRd is related to the coating deposition during MAO. PMRd is a supplement to PMRs when the effect of the overlaying prop-erty (O) of the coatings and the effective deposition (D) of electrolyte composites are considered (PMRd=f(O, D). O is related to the melting point (MP) and boiling point (BP) of the MAO products. D is related to the effective reactions between alloy substrates and electrolytes during MAO. 展开更多

In this study, we prepared horn-like ZnO structures on carbon films(ZnO/CF) by electrodeposition and decorated the ZnO horns with different metals(Ag, Au, and Pt) via photodeposition(M-ZnO/CF). Using M-ZnO/CF as photocatalysts, we examined ways to enhance solar hydrogen production from various points of view, such as modifying the intrinsic physical properties and thermodynamics of the materials, and varying the chemical environment during M-ZnO/CF fabrication. In particular, we focused on the effects of the carbon film and metals in M-ZnO/CF hybrid photocatalysts on solar hydrogen production. The type of metal nanoparticles is an important factor in solar hydrogen production because the deposition rate and electrical conductivity of each metal affect the proton-water reduction ability. 展开更多
