Clinical Research Progress on Physical Rehabilitation Therapy for Migraine

Migraine is a common and recurrent chronic disorder.Migraine is often associated with anxiety,depression and other emotional diseases.With the development of physical rehabilitation techniques,the long-term clinical efficacy of rehabilitation in the treatment of migraine and the prevention of recurrence have been widely accepted.This paper reviews the effectiveness of physical rehabilitation therapy in clinical treatment of migraine in recent years.

STUDY ON THE ATTACK CONTROL ACTION OF ELECTRO-ACUPUNC-TURE ON T■IYANG(太阳EX-HN5)FOR MIGRAINE DUE TO HYPERAC-TIVITY OF LIVER YANG:RANDOMIED CONTROLED TRIAL

Objective To discuss the difference of electro-acupuncture and drug in controlling the attack of migraine due to hyperactivity of liver yang. Methods Three-centered random control method was used, and 300 qualified cases were randomly divided into treatment group （146 cases according to the design） and control group （140 cases）, which were respectively treated with electro-acupuncture and drugs （Compound Aminopyrine Phenacetin Tablets, Ergotamine Caffeine Tablets, Diazepam Tablets）, and observed the overall effect and scores of headache, accompanying symptoms, psychological and social adaptability scores, life quality scores, TCM symptoms scores and follow-up results before and after the treatment. Results In treatment group, the successful rate of attack control was 47.3 %, the improvement rate was 73.3 %, and the total effectiveness was 90.4 %, the clinical control rate and improvement were much superior to control group （the clinical control rate 35.7 %, improvement 61.4 %, the total effectiveness 85. 7 % ）, P〈0. 01, the difference in effect was mainly reflected in patients with moderate severity; the total scores of TCM syndrome after the treatment was obviously significant or very obviously significant（ P〈0. 05, P〈0. 01 ）, but the headache scores between two groups was not obviously significant（P〉0.05）, the difference in accompanying symptoms was significant（ P〈0. 01 ） ;the long term attack control action in two groups was not satisfactory, the recurrence was similar （P〉0. 05） ,the severity of headache in recurrence cases of treatment group was alleviated and superior to control group（ P 〈 0. 01 ）, the occurrence of headache after the treatment is much less than that before the treatment and the situation after 2 months was superior to control group （P〈0. 01 ）. Sleepiness and redness of face in some patients which were seen in control group weren＇t seen in treatment group. Conclusion Electro-acupuncture on Tàiyáng （太阳 EX-HN5） can control the attack of migraine due to hyperactivity of liver yang, and it has advantages in improving the accompanying symptoms and reducing the toxic and side effects of western drugs.

100 CASES OF INTRACTABLE MIGRAINE TREATED BY ACUPUNCTURE AND CUPPING

The author has treated 100 cases ofintractable migraine by acupuncture andcupping with satisfactory therapeutic results,as reported as follows.Clinical Data There were 100 cases in this series,including 38 males and 62 females. 8

Clinical Observation on Treatment of Moderate and Severe Periodical Mastalgia with TCM Hot-wet Compress Therapy

[Objectives] To observe the clinical therapeutic efficacy of local hot-wet compress therapy of digestion ointment prescription on the patients with moderate and severe mastalgia. [Methods] Firstly,60 patients with mastalgia were selected,and divided into the experimental group and control group( 30 cases for each group). The control group was treated with acupuncture at distal point,and the experimental group was treated with TCM local hot-wet compress therapy combined with acupuncture at distal point. Then,the clinical therapeutic efficacy of two groups was compared. [Results]The experimental group was superior to the control group in relieving the breast pain,improving emotional integral,reducing breast lumps,improving lump texture,and improving TCM syndrome integral( P < 0. 05). [Conclusions]The digestion ointment prescription local hot-wet compress therapy has a significant therapeutic effect on treatment of mastalgia and can significantly improve the breast pain symptom of patients.

Clinical Effects of the Qi-acupuncture Therapy of TCM on Portal Hypertension

Objective:To explore the effective prevention and treatment of portal hypertension(PH).Methods:A total of 220 patients who came to our hospital from March 2015 to October 2018 were treated.They were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,each with 110 cases.Before treatment,there was no significant differences in age,sex,clinical symptoms,signs,laboratory tests and color Doppler ultrasound related examinations between the 2 groups(P>0.05).Among them,the treatment group on the basis of traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment in our hospital,the Qi-acupuncture therapy of TCM was added.The extra meridian acupoints along with acupoints were selected.The control group received conventional treatment with traditional Chinese and Western medicine in our hospital.Results:There were significant differences in clinical symptoms,signs and chemistry between groups after treatment(P<0.01).There were significant differences in test,color ultrasound related examination and so on(P<0.01).Those in the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:On the basis of the Qi-acupuncture therapy of TCM,selecting extra meridian acupoint and acupoints can effectively treat PH.

Clinical Records for Acupuncture Treatment of Migraine

Migraine, characterized by periodic attacks that hampers the quality of the daily life, is an obstinate symptom complex commonly seen in the clinic. In contrast with the poor effects obtained in Western medicine, acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment for migraine. The following are the clinical records for acupuncture treatment of migraine in the recent 5 years.

Non-pharmacological therapy of TCM for the treatment of essential hypertension

Non-pharmacotogicat treatment is an important means to control hypertension, with many advantages such as tow cost, tess medication, stable btood pressure, tess compHcations, and improved prognosis. This article reviews the research progress of non-drug treatment of hypertension in Chinese medicine in the past five years, and evaluates traditional Chinese medicine such as TCM Qigong, Wuhuo opera, Ba Duanjin and Taijiquan, and Chinese medicine acupuncture, moxibustion, massage, apptication, acupoint embedding and other traditional Chinese medicine. The effect of external treatment in hypertension control provides guidance for non-drug therapy to control hypertension.

Systematic review and meta analysis of the TCM therapy of Fuzheng and Kangai combined with chemotherapy in treating advanced NSCLC

Objective:To systematically evaluate TCM of Fuzheng and Kangai combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of Advanced NSCLC,including the efficacy and effect on the quality of life of patients.Methods:Two researchers independently searched the literature of clinical trails from Jan.2010 until Jun.2020 in the Cochrane Library,Pubmed,Embase,CBM,CNKI,WanFang Data and VIP database.Also,they had been evaluated and extracted strictly by REVMAN 5.3.Results:A total of 1303 patients were included in 15 articles.The meta analysis shows that the TCM of Fuzheng and Kangai combined with chemotherapy can improve the objective response rate[OR=2.14,95%CI(1.67,2.74),P<0.00001],disease control rate[OR=2.54,95%CI(1.88,3.42),P<0.00001]and KPS score[OR=3.28,95%CI(1.92,5.60),P<0.0001],decrease the incidence rate of liver injury[OR=0.34,95%CI(0.21,0.54),P=0.003],hemoglobin reduction[OR=0.53,95%CI(0.28,1.01),P=0.05],leukopenia[OR=0.22,95%CI(0.13,0.39),P<0.00001],thrombocytopenia[OR=0.32,95%CI(0.21,0.50),P<0.00001],toxic effects on the digestive systems[OR=0.30,95%CI(0.19,0.46),P<0.00001].Conclusions:the experimental group was better than control one in short-term efficacy and KPS score.Furthermore,the experimental group can reduce the incidence rate of myelosuppression,toxicity of digestive system and liver.

Clinical Research on Treatment of Migraine with Combination of Characteristic and Superior Techniques of Zhuang Medicine

Objective:To study the application effect of the combination of special advantages of Zhuang medical technology for migraine patients.Methods:80 patients with migraine were selected and all were admitted to Mingxiu Branch of International Zhuang Hospital Affiliated to Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2019 to February 2020.Random number table method was used to divide patients into two groups,with 40 patients in each group.Among them,the patients in the study group were treated with the therapy combining characteristics of Zhuang medicine and superior technology,that is,Zhuang medicine meridian tendon therapy+Zhuang medicine lotus needle cupping blood stasis removal therapy+Zhuang medicine thread moxibustion therapy+Zhuang medicine acupuncture therapy;the patients in the control group were treated with conventional Western medicine.The efficacy of the two treatments were compared.Results:After treatment,the total effective rate of clinical treatment in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the visual analogue scale(VAS)score and integral improvement rate were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The onset time of action was statistically shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the adverse reaction rate between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Zhuang medicine’s characteristic and superior techniques for patients with migraine has a significant curative effect.

EXTREMELY HIGH FREQUENCY (EHF) PUNCTURE THERAPY AND SYNDROMES OF TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE

ExtremeIy high frequency (EHF) puncture is a new method of treatment based uponbiological effects of low power electromagnetic waves of millimetric band and acupuncture theory oftraditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It is non-invasive, painless and effective. Extensiveness and variety of the specific sensations (Deqi phenomenon) during EHF-puncture re-flect intensive reactions of the patient’s organism and provide individualization of therapy. EHF-puncture is a step of integration of traditional Chinese with modern Western medicines.

Efficacy of super-pulsed 905 nm Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) in the management of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI): A case study

Traumatic brain injury is a major health concern worldwide with massive financial and social impact. Conventional treatments primarily focus on the prevention of further damage to the brain parenchyma, while failing to address the already existent symptoms. Previous clinical studies have shown that Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) can significantly reduce pain and induce temporary vasodilation in capillaries, which the authors hypothesize can be used to improve the quality of life in TBI patients by treating their current symptoms, which are predominately migraine-like headaches. This case report illustrates the use of LLLT in the treatment of a patient with a TBI and the great clinical success achieved in the reduction of pain, as measured by VAS—achievable within five treatments of 10 minutes in duration.

Treatment of 140 cerebral palsied children with a combined method based on traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and western medicine

Objective:To observe and evaluate a method that is effective and practical for treatment of cerebral palsied(CP)children in China.Method:The patient's age and disease type and individual specific conditions were considered in choosingtherapy methods accordingly:Chinese herbs,acupuncture,auricnlar seed pressure,point finger pressing,massage,orthopedichand manipulation,physiotherapy,occupational therapy,language therapy,etc.Meanwhile we created a new CP treatment modelthat combines hospitalized treatment with family therapy.Results:The majority of CP patients improved greatly in motor andsocial adaptation capacities after treatment.Wilcoxon paired rank sum test analysis showed that there were significant differencesbetween the data before and after treatment(P<0.01).Conclusion:This combined therapy method,based on traditional Chinesemedicine and western medicine plus family supplemental therapy,is an effective and practical treatment strategy for CP children inChina.

Research Progress of Non-drug Therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Treatment of Obese Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS)as a relatively common clinical reproductive endocrine disease,the incidence is increasing year by year and the treatment is difficult,among which obese PCOS accounts for nearly 50%of the total.In recent years,non-drug therapy of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has been effective in the treatment of PCOS.This article summarizes the relevant literature in the past ten years from acupuncture,acupoint embedding,moxibustion,and auricular points,and observes the effects of TCM non-drug therapy on endocrine and glucose and lipid metabolism in obese PCOS patients.The impact of various indicators such as body mass index,body mass index,etc.,and discuss the problems in such treatments,as well as put forward suggestions to achieve the purpose of better guiding the clinical treatment of obese PCOS.

Traditional Chinese medicine five-tone therapy

From the perspective of the application of medical value orientation music therapy, this paper summarized the ancient Chinese sound therapy, such as shaman music therapy and five-tone therapy. It also compared five-tone therapy with Tibetan Singing bowl music therapy. The ancient music therapy is a kind of medical means which is oriented to the treatment effect. At first, it was mainly based on the music medical behavior of Taoist, and then gradually evolved into the modern treatment application of folk pentatonic therapy. On the basis of inheritance and development of ancient traditional music treatment, contemporary medicine proposed a new individualized music treatment. Therefore, the theory of five-tone therapy has updated the research on traditional Chinese music treatment theory and system, and will provide reference for the establishment of accurate music treatment system in the future.

Progress of research on massage therapy for sub-health conditions

Sub-health state is a kind of low-quality state between health and disease, and will lead to disease if not intervened in time. As one of the external treatment options in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), massage therapy has achieved an ideal curative effect in the treatment of the sub-health state. This paper summarizes the articles on massage treatment for the treatment of patients in the sub-health state from the past decade. It mainly includes the current understanding of sub-health, treatment ideas and specific methods, as well as clinical classification of treatment modalities. From the perspective of treatment ideas and specific methods, most massage therapies are performed under the guidance of the holistic concept of TCM, and the concept of treatment based on syndrome differentiation (four diagnostic methods of TCM: inspection, auscultation, inquiry, and palpation). In this treatment, not only are the therapeutic functions of meridians and acupoints emphasized, but the selection of the therapeutic time is also performed according to the "Ziwuliuzhu" and the "Lingguibafa"(the acupuncture method based on time in ancient China). According to the different clinical symptoms of sub-health, it can be divided into three types: physical sub-health, psychological sub-health, and social adaptive sub-health. Massage therapy eliminates pain, relieves physical fatigue, and has a good therapeutic effect on physical sub-health. It can alleviate anxiety and depression, promote psychosomatic pleasure of patients, and has a satisfactory regulatory effect on the psychological sub-health symptoms. However, basic research on using modern medical theories and the means to explain its mechanism of action is relatively weak. Therefore, only constantly improving the quality of clinical observation and strengthening basic research can provide more and better evidence for the clinical application of massage therapy in treating the symptoms of the sub-health status.

Brief introduction to the historical development and therapeutic effects of cupping therapy in traditional Chinese medicine

Cupping therapy (CT) is an ancient traditional and complementary medicine practice. Recently, there has been a growing evidence of its potential benefits in the treatment of various diseases. The CT has been constantly developing with the emergence of various modern and improved cupping devices. It is now evident that cupping could adjust the Qi, blood, Yin and Yang, dredge the meridian, as well as relieve the effect of illness, achieve fitness and relative equilibrium of Yin-Yang. It exerts its effects through the negative pressure suction via the mechanical and thermal stimulations, and the negative pressure effects induced by cupping. This article gives an overview of CT practice, its historical development, as well as its therapeutic effects and mechanism. Furthermore, a new and updated classification of CT was briefly introduced.

Echocardiographic Evaluation of Qiangxin Decoction Combined with Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy for Patients with Chronic Heart Failure

OBJECTIVE: To explore the echocardiographic evaluation of patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) after Qiangxin Decoction combined with cardiac resynchronization therapy. METHODS: A total of 140 CHF patients admitted to our hospital were randomly divided into combined group (Qiangxin Decoction and cardiac resynchronization, n = 70) and routine group (cardiac resynchronization, n = 70), and they were treated for 2 courses (16 weeks), with 8 weeks as a course. The improvement of heart function classification (HYHA) was observed before and after treatment, and the therapeutic effects were evaluated according to the improvement of heart function classification (markedly effective, effective, invalid, and worsening). The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) diagnostic criteria was the main symptoms (0 to 6 points), secondary symptoms (0 to 3 points), tongue picture (0 to 1 point) and pulse condition (0 to 1 point), and the higher the score was, the more obvious the symptoms were. The left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and cardiac output (CO) were observed and recorded according to the heart color ultrasound before and after treatment. And the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire (MLHFQ) was used to evaluate the life quality before and after treatment, and the highest score of the scale was 105 points. The higher the score was, the obvious the symptoms were, and the worse the life quality was. And the adverse reactions were recorded in the 2 groups. RESULTS: After the treatment, the total effective rate in the routine group was significantly lower than that in the combined group (75.71% vs . 94.30%), and there was statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After the treatment, the TCM syndrome score in the routine group was higher than that in the combined group ((14.37±3.59) points vs.(10.53±3.11) points), and there was statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After the treatment, the levels of LVEDD and LVESD in the routine group were higher than those in the combined group, and there were statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The levels of LVEF and CO in the routine group were lower than those in the combined group, and there were statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After the treatment, the score of MLHFQ scale in the routine group was higher than that in the combined group ((57.38±8.53) points vs.(46.39±7.14) points), and there was statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Qiangxin Decoction combined with cardiac resynchronization therapy has good echocardiographic evaluation in patients with chronic heart failure.

八段锦联合放松功对轻中度抑郁的影响研究

【目的】探究中医行为心理疗法八段锦联合放松功干预轻中度抑郁的效果。【方法】将40例轻中度抑郁患者随机分为干预组和对照组,每组各20例。干预组给予八段锦锻炼联合放松功干预治疗,对照组给予西药氢溴酸西酞普兰片治疗,疗程为6周。观察2组患者干预前后汉密尔顿抑郁量表(HAMD)评分、蒙哥马利抑郁量表(MADRS)评分、匹兹堡睡眠质量指数(PSQI)评分以及生活质量综合评定问卷(GQOL-74)评分的变化情况,并评价2组患者的抑郁改善疗效。【结果】(1)抑郁改善疗效方面,治疗6周后,干预组的总有效率为95.0%(19/20),对照组为90.0%(18/20),组间比较(χ2检验),差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。(2)抑郁程度方面,治疗后,2组患者的HAMD评分和MADRS评分均较治疗前明显下降(P<0.01),但治疗后组间比较,差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05)。(3)生活质量方面,治疗后,2组患者的GQOL-74的躯体功能、心理功能、社会功能、物质生活等各项评分及总分均较治疗前明显改善(P<0.01),但治疗后组间比较,差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05)。(4)睡眠质量方面,治疗后,2组患者的PSQI的睡眠质量、入睡时间、睡眠时间、睡眠效率、睡眠障碍、催眠药物和日间功能等各项评分及总分均较治疗前明显改善(P<0.01),且干预组对PSQI的睡眠质量、入睡时间评分及总分的改善作用明显优于对照组(P<0.05)。【结论】八段锦锻炼联合放松功干预对轻中度抑郁症状的改善有明确的疗效,可以为轻中度抑郁症患者提供更广泛的选择可能,特别是对西药治疗不耐受的患者更具有一定的优势。

Effects of Huayu Xiaozheng Therapy on Recurrence of Multiple Endometrial Polyps After Electrotomy

Objective:To investigate the preventive effect of Huayu Xiaozheng therapy method of traditional Chinese medicine on the recurrence of multiple endometrial polyps after hysteroscopic electro resection.Methods:A total of 120 patients with blood stasis diagnosed with multiple endometrial polyps after hysteroscopic electroresection were divided into Traditional Chinese medicine group(38 people),Manyuele group(27 people),contraceptive pill group(34 people)and control group(21 people),and the endometrial thickness,polyp recurrence cases and TCM syndrome points were observed in 4 groups after treatment in 3 months,6 months and 12 months..Results:The endometrial thickness was statistically significant(P<0.05)before and after treatment in the Chinese medicine group,the Manyuele group and the contraceptive group,and the endometrial thickness was statistically significant(P<0.05)in the 1 year after treatment,and the endometrial thickness of the Chinese medicine group was compared with the contraceptive group and the Manyuele group in the 1 year after treatment,and the difference was not statistically significant.The differences in TCM symptoms in the Chinese medicine treatment group were statistically significant compared with those in the contraceptive group and the Manyuele group(P<0.05).The recurrence rate of polyps in the 1 year after treatment was statistically significant compared with the control group(P<0.05),and the difference between the three groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:The traditional Chinese medicine stasis elimination method has a preventive effect on the recurrence of endometrial polyps,and its preventive effect is no different from that of Western medicine,and can significantly improve clinical symptoms.
