From such actual conditions as the effects of fluid mechanics in porous media and three-dimensional geology characteristics, the mathematical model and a kind of modified method of second order splitting-up implicit iterative scheme were put forward. For the actual problem of Dongying hollow (single layer) and Huimin hollow (multilayer) of Shengli Petroleum Oil Field, this numerical simulation test and the actual conditions are basically coincident, thus the well-known problem has been solved. 展开更多

Numerical simulation of careful parallel arithmetic of oil resources migration-accumulation of Tanhai Region ( three-layer) was done. Careful parallel operator splitting-up implicit iterative scheme, parallel arithmetic program, parallel arithmetic information and alternating-direction mesh subdivision were put forward. Parallel arithmetic and analysis of different CPU combinations were done. This numerical simulation test and the actual conditions are basically coincident. The convergence estimation of the model problem has successfully solved the difficult problem in the fields of permeation fluid mechanics, computational mathematics and petroleum geology. 展开更多

Numerical simulation of oil migration and accumulation is to describe the history of oil migration and accumulation in basin evolution. It is of great value in evaluation of oil resources and determination of the location and amount of oil deposits. Based on such actual conditions as the effects of fluid mechanics in porous media and 3-dimensional geology characteristics,a kind of modified method of second order upwind finite difference fractional steps implicit interactive scheme was put forward. As for the actual problem of Dongying hollow,Huimin hollow,Tanhai region and Yangxin hollow in Shengli Petroleum Oil Field,a numerical simulation test was carried out,and the result is basically coincident with the actual conditions. For the model problem, optimal order estimates were derived. Thus the well-known problem on oil resources was solved. 展开更多

Since the concept of petroleum migration-accumulation dynamic system (PMADS) was introduced in the 1990s, its definition, division and even denomination have long been in disagreement. This article aims to further discuss and try to clarify this concept and to explore more reasonable approaches to the division of PMADSs on the basis of our studies on petroleum migration and accumulation in some pe- troliferous basins of China, especially those from western China. According to the studies, we define PMADS as a relatively independent natural hydrocarbon migrating and accumulating system within a petroleum system. Its extent is supposed to cover the whole migration pathway starting from a hydrocarbon provenance throughout to an accumulation or a group of accumulations of same source. Just like petroleum systems, a petroleum migration-accumulation system is also an important natural unit for petroleum exploration and assessment in petroleum basins. Its position in a basin is right between a petroleum system and a play. A pe- troleum system has either a number of migration-accumulation systems or one system only. However, the key element of a petroleum system is the source of hydrocarbon; a petroleum system has a distinct hydrocarbon kitchen and is different from its neighboring ones in terms of hydrocarbon kitchens. In contrast, different migration-accumulation systems within the same petroleum system have a shared source kitchen but differ-ent characteristics of migration and accumulation to form hydrocarbon accumulations. As far as the division of petroleum migration-accumulation systems (PMASs) is concerned, 8 major approaches are proposed, including those based on pool-forming dynamic mechanisms, location of hydrocarbon accumulation rela- tive to the source kitchen, phase states of migration and accumulation, migration patterns and directions, geneses of accumulations, reservoir pressure systems, depositional systems and facies, and integrated method, of which the integrated approach is underlined with regard to the division of PMASs in a com-plex petroleum system like those in West-China superimposed basins. 展开更多

The modeling of formation pressure in Yinggehai shows that DF1-1 diapir has oscilla-torily released thermal fluids twice since 5.0 Ma, which may be controlled by the multi-structural subsidences and their accompanying thermal events. Using thermal indicators of formation temperature by DST, I/S mixed clay minerals, homogeneous temperature of inorganic fluid inclusion and δ13C of methane to trace the thermal fluid migrating order and path, we found that there are two orders of natural gas migration-accumulation in the upper site over the top of the overpres-sured compartment. Based on the oscillatory development of formation pressure, we postulate there would exist earlier (before 5.0 Ma) gas accumulation in their deeper site. 展开更多

Numerical simulation of oil migration and accumulation is to describe the history of oil migration and accumulation in basin evolution. It is of great value in the exploration of oil resources and their rational evaluation. In this paper, from such actual conditions as the effects of mechanics of fluids in porous media and 3-dimensional geology characteristics, a kind of modified method of second order splitting-up implicit interactive scheme is pur forward. For the famous hydraulic experiment of secondary migration-accumulation, the numerical simulation test has been done, and both the computational and experimental results are basically identical. For the actual problem of Dongying hollow of Shengli Petroleum Oil Field, the numerical simulation test and the actual conditions are basically coincident. Thus the well-known problem has been solved. 展开更多
