A simple method using aided sliding rectangular windows for synchronization in energy detector (ED) receiver is proposed for impulse-based ultra wideband radios (IR-UWB) under binary pulse position modulation (PP...A simple method using aided sliding rectangular windows for synchronization in energy detector (ED) receiver is proposed for impulse-based ultra wideband radios (IR-UWB) under binary pulse position modulation (PPM), therefore grants an attractive solution for gaining low complexity while the accompanying performance loss in terms of UWB signal reception is comparatively low. Also, a method is developed to sup- press noise through accumulation of integrated results before synchronization point is reached. This proposed method can effectively reduce the impact of one of the major performance-degrading factors in ED receivers, i. e., noise caused by heightened noise floor due to large bandwidth product. Our theoretic work on this im- proved synchronization performance and relevant simulations are conducted on IEEE 802.15.4a channel mod- els, and results show that the proposed design scheme can effectively decrease both the probability of false alarm and probability of missed detection.展开更多

A fau...Quantized fault detection for sensor/actuator faults of networked control systems (NCSs) with time delays both in the sensor-to-controller channel and controller-to-actuator channel is concerned in this paper. A fault model is set up based on the possible cases of sensor/atuator faults. Then, the model predictive control is used to compensate the time delay. When the sensors and actuators are healthy, an H stability criterion of the state predictive observer is obtained in terms of linear matrix inequality. A new threshold computational method that conforms to the actual situation is proposed. Then, the thresholds of the false alarm rate (FAR) and miss detection rate (MDR) are presented by using our proposed method, which are also compared with the ones given in the existin~ literatures. Finally, some numerical simulations are shown to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.展开更多
The Least Squares Residual(LSR)algorithm is commonly used in the Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring(RAIM).However,LSR algorithm presents high Missed Detection Risk(MDR)caused by a large-slope faulty satellite an...The Least Squares Residual(LSR)algorithm is commonly used in the Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring(RAIM).However,LSR algorithm presents high Missed Detection Risk(MDR)caused by a large-slope faulty satellite and high False Alert Risk(FAR)caused by a small-slope faulty satellite.In this paper,the LSR algorithm is improved to reduce the MDR for a large-slope faulty satellite and the FAR for a small-slope faulty satellite.Based on the analysis of the vertical critical slope,the optimal decentralized factor is defined and the optimal test statistic is conceived,which can minimize the FAR with the premise that the MDR does not exceed its allowable value of all three directions.To construct a new test statistic approximating to the optimal test statistic,the Optimal Decentralized Factor weighted LSR(ODF-LSR)algorithm is proposed.The new test statistic maintains the sum of pseudo-range residual squares,but the specific pseudo-range residual is weighted with a parameter related to the optimal decentralized factor.The new test statistic has the same decentralized parameter with the optimal test statistic when single faulty satellite exists,and the difference between the expectation of the new test statistic and the optimal test statistic is the minimum when no faulty satellite exists.The performance of the ODFLSR algorithm is demonstrated by simulation experiments.展开更多
