This article is concerned with the effect of rotation on the general model of the equations of the generalized thermoe- lasticity for a homogeneous isotropic elastic half-space solid, whose surface is subjected to a Mode-I crack problem. The fractional order theory of thermoelasticity is used to obtain the analytical solutions for displacement components, force stresses, and temperature. The boundary of the crack is subjected to a prescribed stress distribution and temperature. The normal mode analysis technique is used to solve the resulting non-dimensional coupled governing equations of the problem. The variations of the considered variables with the horizontal distance are illustrated graphically. Some particular cases are also discussed in the context of the problem. Effects of the fractional parameter, reinforcement, and rotation on the varia- tions of different field quantities inside the elastic medium are analyzed graphically. Comparisons are made between the results in the presence and those in the absence of fiber-reinforcing, rotating and fractional parameters. 展开更多

The bimetallic body is subjected to monotonic load in K dominated regime. Crack tip yield zone across the interface, treated as Dugdale’s cohesive zone, is isolated from the bimetallic domain and is modeled alone under the action of respective cohesive stress over yield zones for obtaining the contribution of mismatch between yield strength of the steels in crack energy release rate component, Jinterface. Effect of far field load on Jinterface is found separately from a theoretical model. Numerical and theoretical results of Jinterface are in good agreement. 展开更多

In the present paper, three dimensional analyses of some general constraint parameters and fracture parameters near the crack tip of Mode I CT specimens in two different thicknesses are carried out by employing ADINA program. The results reveal that the constraints along the thickness direction are obviously separated into two parts: the keeping similar high constraint field (Z1) and rapid reducing constraints one(Z2). The two fields are experimentally confiremed to correspond to the smooth region and the shear lip on the fracture face respectively. So the three dimensional stress structure of Mode I specimens can be derived through discussing the two fields respectively. The distribution of the Crack Tip Opening Displacement (CTOD) along the thickness direction and the three dimensional distribution of the void growth ratio (Vg) near the crack tip are also obtained. The two fracture parameters are in similar trends along the thickness direction, and both of them can reflect the effect of thickness and that of the loading level to a certain degree. 展开更多

A general model of the equations of the Lord-Sulman theory including one relaxation time and the Green-Lindsay theory with two relaxation times, as well as the classical dynamical coupled theory, are applied to the study of the influence of reinforcement on the total deformation for an infinite space weakened by a finite linear opening mode- I crack. We study the influence of reinforcement on the total deformation of rotating thermoelastic half-space and their interaction with each other. The material is homogeneous isotropic elastic half space. The crack is subjected to prescribed temperature and stress distributions. The normal mode analysis is used to obtain the exact expressions for displacement components, force stresses, and temperature. The variations of the considered variables with the horizontal distance are illustrated graphically. Comparisons are made with the results obtained in the three theories with and without rotation. Mode-I-crack compression modeling and numerical simulation for evaluation of in-situ stress around advancing coal workfaces

The relatively high stress probably leads to generation of a fractured or even instable area around a working coalface. Also, the generated weak area often evolves into an easy-infiltrating field of water/gas to greatly increase probability of accident occurrence. To reveal the distribution of high stress around working faces, we put forward the mode-I-crack compression model. In this model, the goaf following a working face is regarded as a mode-I crack in an infinite plate, and the self-gravity of overlaying strata is transformed into an uniform pressure applied normal to the upper edge of the model crack. Solving this problem is based on the Westergaard complex stress function. For comparison, the software RFPA-2D is also employed to simulate the same mining problem, and furthermore extendedly to calculate the stress interference induced by the simultaneous advances of two different working faces. The results show that, the area close to a working face or the goaf tail has the maximum stress, and the stress is distributed directly proportional to the square root of the advance and inversely proportional to the square root of the distance to the working face. The simultaneous advances of two neighboring working faces in different horizontals can lead to extremely high resultant stress in an interference area. 展开更多

A mechanical model of a fracturing viscoelastic material was developed to investigate viscous effects in a dynamically growing crack-tip field. It was shown that in the stable creep-growing phase,elastic deformation and viscous deformation are equally dominant in the near-tip field,and stress and strain have the same singularity,namely,(σ,ε ) ∝ r?1 /( n?1) . The asymptotic solution of separating variables of stress,stain and displacement in the crack-tip field was obtained by asymptotic analysis,and the resulting numerical value of stress and strain in the crack-tip field was obtained by the shooting method and the boundary condition of a mode I crack. Through numerical calculation,it was shown that the near-tip fields are mainly governed by the creep exponent n and Mach number M . When n →∞,the asymptotic solution of a viscoelastic material can be degenerated into that of Freund's elastic-ideally plastic material by analyzing basic equations. 展开更多

The stress and deformation fields near the tip of a mode-I dynamic crack steadily propagating in an elastic-perfectly plastic compressible material are considered under plane strain conditions. Within the framework of infinitesimal displacement gradient theory, the material is characterized by the Von Mises yield criterion and the associated J(2) flow theory of plasticity. Through rigorous mathematical analysis, this paper eliminates the possibilities of elastic unloading and continuous asymptotic fields with singular deformation, and then constructs a fully continuous and bounded asymptotic stress and strain field. It is found that in this solution there exists a parameter phi(0) which cannot be determined by asymptotic analysis but may characterize the effect of the far field. Lastly the variations of continuous stresses, velocities and strains around the crack tip are given numerically for different values of phi(0). 展开更多

为研究冲击荷载作用下充填节理岩体Ⅰ型裂纹动态扩展特性,利用分离式霍普金森杆(split Hopkinson pressure bar,简称SHPB)试验系统及裂纹扩展测试系统,对石膏、水泥及云石胶3种充填节理的侧开三角形单边裂纹(singlecleavage triangle,简... 为研究冲击荷载作用下充填节理岩体Ⅰ型裂纹动态扩展特性,利用分离式霍普金森杆(split Hopkinson pressure bar,简称SHPB)试验系统及裂纹扩展测试系统,对石膏、水泥及云石胶3种充填节理的侧开三角形单边裂纹(singlecleavage triangle,简称SCT)岩体试件进行动态冲击压缩试验,对比分析裂纹动态扩展过程及冲击破坏模式,并通过试验-数值法研究了Ⅰ型裂纹动态扩展过程中的应力强度因子及能量释放率的变化规律。研究表明:充填节理岩体主要有3种破坏模式,分别为预制裂纹扩展贯穿整个试件、裂纹贯穿后发生充填节理破坏、充填节理先破坏并阻滞裂纹贯穿;节理充填体的破坏与充填体强度、胶结力及应变率等相关;裂纹扩展速度自起裂处振荡增长,并在贯穿充填节理前某个位置达到最大,而应力强度因子及能量释放率在节理附近达到最大;充填节理刚度退化会抑制裂纹的扩展,并造成能量释放率的急剧增大;岩性组合差异加剧岩体试件材料属性的失配,导致应力强度因子及能量释放率随裂纹穿过节理后出现不同程度降低。 展开更多

断裂力学是各行业的基础学科之一。半圆弯拉(SCB)试验为该领域经典试验,目前含裂纹的SCB研究多为底部切口等表面裂纹或穿透型裂纹研究。内裂纹和内部类裂纹缺陷是材料的固有属性,但是对于SCB内裂纹扩展规律研究较少。基于3D-ILC(三维激... 断裂力学是各行业的基础学科之一。半圆弯拉(SCB)试验为该领域经典试验,目前含裂纹的SCB研究多为底部切口等表面裂纹或穿透型裂纹研究。内裂纹和内部类裂纹缺陷是材料的固有属性,但是对于SCB内裂纹扩展规律研究较少。基于3D-ILC(三维激光疲劳内裂纹)技术,分析了表面无任何影响的情况下凭空生成任意参数的纯内裂纹,在SCB试样中生成内裂纹,对含内裂纹试样进行SCB试验,分析了裂纹生长过程、应力双折射规律、Ⅰ-Ⅱ-Ⅲ型裂纹扩展面、破坏形态、宏微观断口特征,开展数值模拟,得到裂纹尖端应力强度因子分布规律及扩展路径,与物理试验一致。结果表明:(1)基于3D-ILC的SCB内裂纹及Ⅰ-Ⅱ-Ⅲ型扩展断裂规律明显,3D-ILC为断裂力学中的内裂纹问题研究提供了有力工具;(2)应力云纹在内裂纹处显示应力集中,SCB整体云纹在内裂纹处发生明显变异;(3)SCB试样从预制裂纹处发生压剪型起裂,发生Ⅰ-Ⅱ-Ⅲ型裂纹扩展,分为光滑区和撕裂区,持续生长转变为动态断裂进而破坏,动态断口存在裂纹分叉出现雾化区、羽毛区特征;(4)根据M积分和最大周向应力准则,对试样进行了数值模拟,得到了试样内裂纹尖端应力强度因子分布规律及扩展路径,与试验结果一致。结论与成果对断裂力学领域的SCB试验、内裂纹、Ⅰ-Ⅱ-Ⅲ型断裂问题、裂纹扩展路径模拟问题的研究,具有重要意义。 展开更多

Using this criterion, the mechanisms of hydraulic fracturing in cubic soil specimens were investigated. The results indicate that the propagation of the crack in a cubic specimen under water pressure occurs in a mixed mode I-II if the crack face is not perpendicular to any of the principal stresses, and the crack most likely to propagate is the one that is perpendicular to the minor principal stress and propagates in mode I. 展开更多
