The actual vehicle may be ...An optimal control procedure is developed for the front and rear wheels of a three-axle vehicle moving on a complex typical road based on model following variable structure control strategy. The actual vehicle may be considered as an uncertain system. Cornering stiffness of front and rear wheels and external disturbances are varied in a limited range. The model-following variable structure control method is used to control both front and rear wheels steering operations of the vehicle, so that steering responses of the vehicle follow from those of the reference model. By numerical results obtained from computer simulation, it is demonstrated that the control system model can cope with the effects of parameter perturbations and outside disturbances.展开更多

A dynamic mathematical model of slip control based system is obtained. With the help of model reducing technique, full order model is reduced to simplify the design without degrading much of the performance. Model following adaptive control laws in discrete form are derived. These laws satisfy the hyperstability condition for taking care of the load and machine parameter changes of the drive. A microprocessor 8098 is used to develop the speed controller. The implementation of the control system uses only available variables of the reference model and the controlled plant. Through linear stability analysis, the neutral stability lines and the critical points are obtained for the different types of car following models and two modified models. The singular perturbation method has been used to derive various nonlinear wave equations, such as the Kortewegde-Vries (KdV) equation and the modified Korteweg-de-Vries (mKdV) equation, which could describe different density waves occurring in traffic flows under certain conditions. These density waves are mainly employed to depict the formation of traffic jams in the congested traffic flow. In order to improve the fault-tolerant flight control system performance and effective utilization of the control surface, trim- mable horizontal stabilizer (THS) is considered to generate the extra pitch moment. A suitable switching mechanism with performance improvement coefficient is proposed to determine when it is worthwhile to utilize THS. Furthermore, AFTC strategy is detailed by using model following technique and the proposed THS switching mechanism. The basic fault-tolerant controller is designed to guarantee longitudinal control system stability and acceptable performance degradation under partial elevators failure. The proposed AFTC is applied to Boeing 747-200 numerical model and simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed AFTC approach.展开更多
Online social networks(OSNs)offer people the opportunity to join communities where they share a common interest or objective.This kind of community is useful for studying the human behavior,diffusion of information,an...Online social networks(OSNs)offer people the opportunity to join communities where they share a common interest or objective.This kind of community is useful for studying the human behavior,diffusion of information,and dynamics of groups.As the members of a community are always changing,an efficient solution is needed to query information in real time.This paper introduces the Follow Model to present the basic relationship between users in OSNs,and combines it with the MapReduce solution to develop new algorithms with parallel paradigms for querying.Two models for reverse relation and high-order relation of the users were implemented in the Hadoop system.Based on 75 GB message data and 26 GB relation network data from Twitter,a case study was realized using two dynamic discussion communities:#musicmonday and#beatcancer.The querying performance demonstrates that the new solution with the implementation in Hadoop significantly improves the ability to find useful information from OSNs.展开更多
